16/06/2026: We decided to try a new beach in Porto Garibaldi. I must honestly say that it was more of a flop than a flop. I already found it absurd to have to book three sunbeds online and pay in advance by credit card, as if we were in Sardinia. We had an aperitif and they handed us two tasteless spritzes without even a single crisp. Lastly, we were seated inside for lunch, and it was stiflingly hot against the boiling glass.
The food was meager in quantity, and the wait was too long.
We won't be returning.
There are better beaches.
15/06/2026: The beach is well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing, but there are improvements to be made. First of all, I personally didn't appreciate the option to reserve umbrellas and loungers via the app on the website: by requiring immediate payment, if there's a last-minute problem, you'll lose your money, including the €3 app service fee!
Second improvement: poorly trained restaurant staff, long wait times (the place is too big for the available staff), and poor value for money: considering how much we spent, I'm not satisfied with what I ate.
Also, if you order a Spritz for an aperitif, give her at least two chips and don't make her buy them!
I don't think I'll be back.

La Margherita Pizza Da Asporto

02/06/2026: Rather than the "feeding troughs" of Comacchio (greasy, expensive, and often not very fresh food), it's much better to order a pizza from La Margherita and enjoy it 50 meters away, sitting at the foot of the Trepponti Bridge.
That said, the place is simple, family-run, and the staff is extremely friendly (almost too friendly).
The pizza—frankly—isn't great. We ordered a pizza with vegetables that weren't grilled (in our opinion) but boiled or steamed, and the pizza dough wasn't exactly excellent, making the experience mediocre.
However, for €8, you can't expect much.
A so-so pizza for €8 is certainly better than dining in the town's tourist traps.
Recommended
03/01/2026: Takeaway only. It's a shame they're closed Mondays and Tuesdays. A better option for dinner.

10/05/2026: The grilled fish plate did not look like grilled. The waitress said it came out of the oven... Well? The guy where we paid claimed it was grilled and the other waitress would not know...
Also the portion was small for 30€. And again: not really delicious. Only the Gnochie were good.
Also no customer friendly service with our issue.
04/05/2026: They were kind enough to make me spaghetti with mussels, and generally friendly.
We had two starters, both good.
I found the price a little excessive, especially the €3.50 cover charge, considering three pieces of bread for two (which I had to remember) and dirty plates that left a ring of squid ink (I imagine) on the tablecloth.
I spent €42 (spaghetti with clams, spaghetti with mussels, 1 bottle of water, and tea), which I think is seasonal and local average. I found the pasta a little salty, but that's a matter of personal taste. I wouldn't go back, but I wouldn't discourage it either.

06/05/2026: The staff is friendly, but the dishes arrived far apart from each other, so one person ate while the other watched. The seafood spaghetti was overcooked, and the mussels were cold from the refrigerator. The grilled shellfish was dry and overcooked, but the mussels Taranto-style were good. We'd been before and had a good lunch, but not this time.

21/03/2026: Roxy's Vertigo Cocktail Bar is a lovely spot near the Porto Garibaldi waterfront, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast or an excellent aperitif, served with a generous plate of appetizers for a reasonable price. The owner is very professional and friendly. I'll definitely be back for an aperitif when I'm in the area.

11/04/2026: I highly recommend Trattoria del Borgo as a place to eat in Comacchio!
A very quaint spot in the historic center, with a simple and authentic atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. Perfect for both a quiet dinner and an evening with friends.
The food is excellent, especially the traditional local fish dishes, with generous portions and fair prices.
17/03/2026: We had a mixed fried fish dish, very varied and well-made. The staff was very helpful, and the price was fair.

08/05/2026: Porto Garibaldi is a hub of restaurants. Some stand out for their location or aesthetics, others are simply noticed by strolling along the seafront. Among these is the Roma restaurant, which appears to be just one of many. In reality, once inside, we notice a spacious, clean, and comfortable environment. We sit at a table near the beach and begin ordering. All the dishes are excellent and served in generous portions. The standout dish is undoubtedly the slightly spicy risotto, with fish simmered in a typical local broth. A delight to savor, keeping in mind that a single portion, given the size, easily serves two people. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive to their guests' needs.
05/05/2026: For those who love good food, expertise, and quality. A vintage atmosphere, knowledgeable and helpful staff, excellent dishes, quality wines with a special focus on Friulians, and the option to eat outside. We ordered a Roma appetizer, two risottos, a half-portion of fried fish, a bottle of Friulano, sorbets, and more for €55 each. Very satisfied.
