09/12/2025: Good morning, my partner and I have already eaten at this restaurant twice. It's excellent, the food is really good, the quality/price ratio is very reasonable, and the fish is always fresh and tasty. The starters, meat dishes, and main courses are also good. I highly recommend it. Livia
06/12/2025: Traditional restaurant near the main train station. A bit cold, simple and sterile interior. We had spaghetti carbonara and bolognese. Also better than average. Both in terms of taste and presentation on the plate. The service is typical Neapolitan "old school", but good, there was also a smile 🤣. The vegetable soup was disappointing. Although a large portion, a lot of vegetables, but absolutely unseasoned, no salt, pepper, absolutely nothing...🤷 Too bad. The dessert (Baba) was great.
Feel free to stop here, it probably won't be your greatest gastronomic experience, but you'll eat quickly and decently (if you avoid the soup 🤭).

25/09/2025: A very friendly place to have a bite to eat and enjoy a drink. Pepe went out of his way to please and nothing was too much trouble - arranged an English breakfast for us each morning. Coffee and cakes also tasty - staff very friendly. Would recommend a visit.
24/09/2025: Founded in 1844 beneath Palazzo Maresca, Gran Caffè Marianiello is part gelateria, pasticceria, and bar. The curved counter with domed pozzetti lids preserves traditional flavours like nocciola and fiordilatte, while the pastry case offers sfogliatelle, cannoli, and biscotti for gifting. I chose nocciola gelato paired with salted caramel: dense, creamy, slowly yielding in the shade. The dairy was so clean and fresh it almost brought moisture to the eyes; the churn smooth, near-perfect. A touch less sugar and it would have been flawless. A landmark of continuity and craft. 9.5/10.

Decent welcome but very slow service. Dishes without originality. Not really cooking, but rather assembly. Prices far too high considering the quality of the products.

10/10/2025: The food was very authentic and extremely delicious. The welcome and service were warm and attentive. However, we felt the prices were significantly too high for local standards. We paid €15 for a simple spaghetti al pomodoro and two polpette – the portions were rather small. Overall, a good meal, albeit somewhat marred by the high bill.
We've never paid so much for a meal this week. It's a shame, because the staff is very friendly and the small restaurant is truly charming.
We came because of the many positive reviews, but we were a bit disappointed. Perhaps the price-performance ratio can be improved in the future.

We hadn't booked, but they seated us anyway, except that—once we'd ordered—they made it clear we had to hurry up and eat because "they'd already done us a favor..."
Moral of the story:
We didn't finish the pizza, which was also burnt!

02/12/2025: On Sunday, we decided to try this restaurant I'd heard about. It had a rustic and welcoming tavern-like atmosphere, with classic Neapolitan music playing in the background. Excellent dishes, attentive and discreet service, and a good value. I really enjoyed the pasta and potatoes, with provola cheese and crispy bacon—it was truly delicious. Otherwise, everything was good; I can't find any negatives, except for the standard desserts, which, while good, are average compared to the other dishes, which are decidedly superior.

15/08/2025: Homemade flavors prepared slowly with high-quality ingredients.
The Ischia-style sedanini and the pasta with meat and onions are a must-try.
The grilled tagliata.
The tart and watermelon were served for the finale.
Water and soft drinks were plentiful.
Today's Ferragosto menu consisted of a platter with a selection of cured meats and cheeses (the ricotta was excellent), a choice of two first courses, and a second course with a side dish. Dessert and fruit €50.
No coffee.

19/11/2025: Tasty, but nothing impressive, and expensive for what it is. The only good thing is that it's away from other restaurants, so it's quiet and has a nice view. Even so, I wouldn't say it's really worth it.
30/10/2025: We came with high hopes but it was unfortunately closed although marked as open in Google. So please update your openning times for people who walks all the way up here.

19/10/2025: Our last night in Italy and we lucked into our best dining experience. We came 20 minutes before our reservation time, having an early morning flight out of Naples and the owner, Giovanni, couldn’t have been more welcoming, setting us up with wine and delicious antipasti of shaved meats and savory cheeses, while he made his way back and forth between the kitchen and our table. The main dish, a simple butter, cheese and truffle fettuccini, was out of this world good.. As we finished with some delicious biscuits, he called in his lovely wife, Joanna, and one of his two sons and made us feel as if we had had dinner at an old friend’s. Clearly, the best meal and best experience of our trip!
23/08/2025: The menu is too limited; you end up ordering the same thing over and over again. The culinary offerings aren't particularly sophisticated. Fondue is a no-no in August...they need a change. As for the service...I don't think a wine bar can afford to have table staff who know nothing about wine. People eat on the street in the summer.

We were in Scafati for three days and ate here every time because the food was delicious. We tried everything from pizza to pasta to octopus and were always satisfied.

20/10/2025: Very good Italian food for reasonable price. Uncle Carmine made a difference when he brought little gift to my daughter. We had Carbonara a Lasagna Bolognese, both excellent! In October very quiet and cosy, compared to crowdy and overpriced Sorrento or Pompeii.
14/10/2025: I work in a pastry shop in Sorrento and 3 coffees, a slice of cake and a small ricotta and pear cost 18 euros, you never pay that much here either! Excessive

22/10/2025: We went out to eat with 10 people. Everyone was very satisfied. Starter, main course, fish, pasta, dessert, liqueur, fried fish. So, a truly complete meal. It was the equivalent of €40. Service was excellent and fast. Only the Wi-Fi password was too long 😂
