The pizzas were delicious, and the complimentary focaccia-style starter was super good.

Helpful and professional waiters, food in line with the offerings of many restaurants in Tropea, fair prices, and excellent quality.
09/11/2025: There were four of us. The restaurant is actually located in a courtyard surrounded by old houses (some with their laundry hanging out to dry). A street musician came by and stayed for a full 40 minutes, playing incredibly loudly so we couldn't have a proper conversation.
The service seemed to be competing with each other... even though we already had a waiter, the owner came by and started the entire order all over again... if only she had actually brought everything... The food was okay – not what you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. And it was expensive enough for what it was.
So, not really...

21/03/2026: The place absolutely needs improvement because I noticed a lot of neglect. It left me perplexed and unimpressed. The owners and staff were friendly. The dishes were plentiful and decent, but not exceptional for my tastes. For example, the spaghetti wasn't cooked al dente. I would only recommend much, much improvement in quality and atmosphere, including better lighting.
13/03/2026: This is the exact same review from about 4 years ago. The owner lashed out (yes, against it, it's appropriate to say!) against this review, attempting to ridicule an honest, albeit unpleasant, review by addressing them in the most truculent and aggressive terms possible. Today, exactly 3 hours ago, that reply to my review was edited!!! 4 years later, it was edited!!! How come? Why? 4 years later, they come back and remove that vulgar and inappropriate reply, replacing it with a few lines...of contrition!? It smells a bit fishy...it's March and the summer season is starting again! And the reviews, along with the replies, are starting to carry a lot of weight and serve as a good reference for those who come or plan to come to stay in magnificent Tropea. I suspect this (they also edited another reply to a negative review!!) is the result of a commercial strategy that has nothing to do with food and dining. If so, new patrons will be able to verify it. I hope I'm wrong and that things have changed today, for the better (truly better, as a fairytale location like Tropea deserves). I'm confident I'll find myself in Tropea again and will want to try their cuisine again, intellectually honest as ever, ready to retrace my steps (I truly hope so). REVIEW IN MY ORIGINAL AND UNEDITED VERSION FROM 4 YEARS AGO: "Think of the worst and that's half of what will happen to you the moment you unfortunately decide to enter this place! Fresh fish has never been in here! The reason they will repeat to you ad nauseam is that this mysterious artifact must go through a "battitura" process (a term in vogue here to define freezing!). The expert who will administer pearls of scientific-culinary wisdom to you is a certain Mauro, a tall figure with a mellifluous attitude who will try to distract you by serving you 2 plates of "reheated soup" that are at least 1 week old and will make you pay dearly and bitterly. You will be surprised to see that a grilled fish (that's how they call it), will taste like Findus fish fingers and that it will have neither head nor tail... nor fish! If you try to ask for a fish in salt (present on the menu) they will answer which unfortunately wasn't caught either because of the peach ban or, in the case of mussels, because they don't like the method of transporting them from Puglia! When you complain about the supposed quality/freshness of the fish, Mauro will tell you he'll report it to the chef! The chef? If anyone ever sets foot in this little theater! Last piece of advice: if you ever stumble upon this place, always ask the price of off-menu puatti (?) and check the bill (they double-charged the water)! Good luck everyone.

12/02/2026: Surrounded by greenery. Within a beautifully maintained park. Nature surrounds you in silence. Very spacious, warm, and welcoming room. Bathroom with a large, bright shower. The evening was enlivened by an excellent dinner featuring local products. The discreet and kind owner offered us a delicious caciocavallo cream with vegetables. A fireplace warmed the room with spectacular flames. After a restful night's sleep in silence, a hearty breakfast kicked off a new day.
01/01/2026: Super friendly and helpful staff. Fabulous rooms. Perfect climate and setting. A farmhouse surrounded by greenery, a natural oasis for nature lovers. Highly recommended!

25/02/2026: The restaurant was recommended to us by Fabiola, the owner of the hotel where we were staying. As soon as we arrived, we understood why... the location is fantastic, facing the sea, the staff is friendly, especially Walter, the owner, who is very attentive to customer needs. The photos on the walls tell the story of Pizzo, especially the snowfall of the 1990s. The cuisine, based on fresh fish, is excellent, accompanied by a good Cirò wine. We'll be back this summer.
27/11/2025: The pizza here is very good, the dough, the ingredients and the rest are very noticeable and this makes it a good pizza. I can finally say that I have tried a real pizza but above all a very good one, in particular I recommend trying the peppered mussels.

19/11/2025: Beautiful bar, delicious granitas. One of the tastiest and most well-known ice cream parlors in the tourist town of Napier. It was renovated in 1923 and retains its original features. It's very pleasant to sit outside, in a small square and in a spot where parking is easy.

The exceptional Tartufo di Pizzo is highly recommended.
The staff are extremely polite and true professionals.

We came here because of the good reviews and unfortunately can't confirm them in any way.
We ordered four tartufo. They were freshly prepared, and we were able to watch them being prepared (although they didn't look particularly appetizing).
Two of the four tartufo were okay. But two of them were already melting as soon as they were placed on the plate and were even dripping off the plate as the man handed them to us.
We really should have sent them back right away...
They tasted okay, but the consistency was more like chocolate sauce... and that on a chilly October day.
All in all: Not recommended!
The ambiance at this place is also rather off-putting. Sorry.
