16/06/2025: Wir waren heute mit unseren drei Kindern hier beim Mittagessen. Absolute Warnung vor dieser Osteria! Bei der Rechnung wurden einfach 20 € mehr berechnet. Wenn wir es nicht sofort nachgerechnet hätten, hätten wir es nicht bemerkt und hätten zusätzlich zu den 10€ Coperto noch 20€ extra bezahlt! Die Erklärung war, dass sich der Taschenrechner verrechnet hätte! Sehr, sehr enttäuschend, so abgezockt zu werden! Dies scheint kein Einzelfall bei dieser Osteria zu sein!!!!!

06/06/2025: Everything was great except the food. The swordfish literally tasted like charcoal, the veal steak was very disappointing compared to the quality you get at other restaurants in the vicinity. I do have to say that the employees were very nice and attentive.

11/07/2025: The restaurant enjoys a prime location, with a spectacular view that alone is worth the visit. The food is also overall good, with well-presented and carefully prepared dishes. The people managing the dining room and taking orders are very committed, and it's evident: they really do everything they can to ensure efficient service. However, despite their efforts, the dining room staff management appears to be struggling. Some team members seem inattentive, and this impacts the overall experience. What was most perplexing was the clear perception, from inside the dining room, of strong tensions emanating from the kitchen. Hearing shouting and arguments among the staff inevitably ruins the atmosphere, and in such a pleasant setting, both in terms of landscape and cuisine, it's a jarring element and should be avoided. A place with great potential, it deserves greater serenity and coordination behind the scenes to offer an experience truly worthy of its beauty.

09/07/2025: A great discovery.... Delicious food, fast and attentive service... we ate on this splendid terrace, as a family... On the manager's recommendation, we ordered a mixed fried fish dish and a peppered mussel dish, both delicious. ... The staff were kind, polite, and well-organized in their various roles. We'll be back... congratulations.

12/06/2025: Angelo Del Mare has the best seafood I've ever had in my life. We were in Tropea for 3 days and went to eat at this restaurant every single day! The staff is so warm and so friendly and truly make you feel like a part of their Italian family! The seafood is so fresh, it is caught that morning and they will tell you all about their catches of the day. The mussels were the freshest i've ever had and the swordfish and tuna steak literally melted in my mouth. The ambiance is so lovely, the restaurant has recently been renovated and is nautical themed and very modern! There is so much love in the food, in their service and in their hospitality, this place is truly one of a kind and I am still dreaming about it. If you are headed to Tropea, go to. Angelo del Mare - trust me, this will be the best seafood you will eat !

10/06/2025: Trust the “catch of the day” and they will not disappoint you. Excellent service, excellent quality and a great welcome. The fish market is located slightly outside the center of Tropea (in a side street) outside the “tourist” areas of the super center.

20/07/2025: Beautiful place with great views

08/07/2025: We discovered this simple and authentic place by chance, so we returned the next day to sample the restaurant's delicious cuisine once again. The dishes are balanced and home-style, using fresh, quality ingredients. The staff is friendly and helpful. Excellent value. A little corner of paradise where you can indulge your palate with the sound of the waves lapping at the shore!

28/06/2025: Very mixed feelings and here is why. Great place, great service, amazing presentation and food also was NOT bad, but not great either. Allow me to explain. Starters were perfection, already fell in love. Then we come to pasta and you can feel it's all there, nothing bad, great produce used but there is no balance. Too salty, too peppery seafood pasta, too much tomato sauce and dozens of olives in fish pasta that the main star of the dish (the fish) totally disappear. Left you thinking, if it was not a tomato sauce but whole cherry tomatos, maybe i would have tasted fish... A very strange experience. We have had bad food many times and this was not the case here, but it wasn't great meal at all. Did not stay for desert. Apologies to write this, but the single oddest not bad experience in a long while. I would love to score higher but its not there.

21/06/2025: I waited a bit to write this review because the place had really impressed me the first time, and I wanted to be sure of what I would write. I have had lunch there on several occasions, always at lunch, I have eaten traditional dishes, touched more or less the entire menu, always remaining more than satisfied, but let's go in order: I have never had to wait for the table, I have always been accompanied immediately together with the rest of the guests after our arrival, the tables all have tablecloths and cloth napkins (and the physical menu, not a qr code stuck to the table), the place is very clean and welcoming, there is also a fireplace that contributes to the atmosphere of the place, the staff is friendly, we also had a pleasant chat with the owner, the portions are abundant and the dishes, although perhaps simple, are very tasty and structured, menu with typical dishes, excellent desserts of their own production, more than honest prices. I only feel like recommending this place, and I hope you can spend some quality time there as I did.

18/07/2025: We stumbled across this place for our first meal it didn’t disappoint it was incredible!! Our favourite meal of our trip!! The service was great and very attentive. Do yourself a favour and come to Albins in Tropea, I promise you it’s worth it

18/07/2025: poor quality food (tagliolini with clams that tasted only of parsley and clams FULL of sand, carbonara made like an omelette) excessively high price (€44 for two first courses and water) We wouldn't go back, but if we had known beforehand we wouldn't have sat down at all

14/06/2025: Sono pochi i luoghi dove al giorno d’oggi si ha la possibilità di vivere un’esperienza così autentica dal punto di vista umano e culinario. L’azienda agrituristica è gestita da una famiglia meravigliosa che serve in modo cordiale e professionale il vero km 0. Sapori intensi generati da materie prime eccezionali. Tutto questo in un luogo che trasmette valori lontani dalle logiche puramente commerciali che regolano la maggior parte dei ristoranti. Grazie!

09/06/2025: Sempre SUPER in termini di accoglienza e qualità! La ricotta e il primosale sono una vera delizia. Quest'anno abbiamo trovato in agriturismo anche un simpatico asinello.

15/05/2025: Incredible!!! We've enjoyed excellent aperitivos here twice already. The low price doesn't reflect the outstanding quality of the authentic food. The ambiance and the very friendly staff made the evening a highlight. Thank you for that!

11/05/2025: This restaurant is not worth visiting. Food is overpriced and simply not good (served on plastic (!) plates )- same goes for the service - waiters are buzzing around you constantly, talking on their walkie-talkies like they are in a swat team (mind that at the time only 3 tables were taken) making it impossible to enjoy the meal (not that there is much to enjoy). Stay away for your own good.

We ordered a tasting board with a variety of local delicacies, along with a beer, Coke Zero, and water. The total came to €43 — very reasonable for the quality and presentation. The atmosphere was charming, with beautifully arranged interiors and a cozy outdoor area that added to the overall experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxed and tasteful moment in a lovely setting.
