24/08/2023: Let me start by saying that I had dinner there with my partner. What can I say... Exquisite staff.. especially the waiter from Reggio, very nice and very efficient.. Excellent fish dinner..

20/08/2023: Courteous and professional family management, we had a very good time, on foot you can reach the butcher, fishmonger, food market and also the Grotticelle beach (15 minutes, going downhill but on the way back there is clearly an uphill climb, but it's done. ..not with strollers) Apartment with a large bathroom with window, large double bedroom and bedroom with 2 beds, kitchen with everything you need and a loggia where you can possibly have breakfast, lunch or dinner!!! I was very satisfied!!!

30/09/2023: Abbiamo preso lo "stendino" di salumi e formaggi .... divino! Polpo arrosto... spettacolare!! Paccheri con tartare di tonno ecc....top!!! Fin anche la cotoletta con patatine del bambino e la pasta al sugo...per niente scontate come sapore anzi, anch'esse decisamente buone buone!!! Il personale poi fa la differenza, gentili e molto premurosi e attenti!!! Consigliatissimo, tanto che ritornerei in Calabria solo per questo locale! Grazie

25/09/2023: ho visitato questo ristorante sia per mangiare pesce che per mangiare la pizza e siamo stati contenti in entrambe le situazioni. Personale gentilissimo, veloce ed efficiente. Materia prima fresca e sapientemente elaborata. Bravi

13/10/2023: We had dinner at this place on August 25th. Terrible. Very slow service is an understatement, after 20 minutes we hadn't even been asked if we wanted water. But when the dishes arrived, perhaps more than an hour after our arrival, the disappointment was great. There was also a small child at our table and he had to wait a long time too. What was described on the menu did not correspond to the ingredients present in the dishes, the fish was rubbery and not fresh, the pasta was overcooked, the mussels were inedible and had a dodgy colour. Well, the latter were presented to us as a formidable species of "white mussel"... Well... This only after the owner, once impatient with our complaint, started eating with her hands directly from our plates , always spitting the shells of the molluscs into the same ones, to demonstrate that the fish was fresh. We, shocked by the scene and the situation, decide to return the dishes and therefore pay only for what we had consumed. At the checkout the owner literally attacked us by shouting at us and insulting us for not understanding anything about how to eat, even though we were very calm and were only trying to explain the reasons for our discomfort. Only an appetizer and a first course were consumed (around €12) and a €20 bottle of wine and one of water, despite this, the bill was initially €80 which was then fortunately lowered to €40. Positive note: luckily as we left the owner chased us to finally apologize for the terrible experience. The friendly waiter. We won't be coming back again.

25/09/2023: sono stata in questo ristorante catturata dalle ottime recensioni lette ma purtroppo il cibo presentato è stato a dir poco imbarazzante. Tris di alici "vecchie" e dure, tutte uguali (non c'era distinzione nel tris), cozze senza sapore, frittura dura e poco saporita anche se forse è stata la cosa più decente. Non ho avuto l' accortezza di farlo presente al titolare che girava per i tavoli, ho sbagliato anche se non so se avrebbe apprezzato la critica. Io mi vergognerei a presentare dei piatti del genere!

17/09/2023: Eccellente in tutto dal vino all’antipasto e i primi sono abbondanti e saporiti. La location è molto accogliente il personale super efficiente. La pancetta e il capocollo con un sapore assurdo. Straconsigliato. I prezzi molto ragionevoli. Compimenti a tutti 😍

05/09/2023: Leider sehr touristisch. Tisch reserviert über unser Hotel. Man hatte das Gefühl schnell schnell abfertigen. Tisch muss neu besetzt werden. Nachdem die Vorspeise nach der Hauptspeise kam, denke ich respektloses Verhalten gehört nicht belohnt. War einmaliger Besuch .. schade .. noch dazu sprechen wir italienisch .. 😤😤

20/02/2024: 5 stars for the view and the beach, which the site operator can't do anything about. The rest 0 stars, so a disaster, including a parking space in the front row. I got stuck on the ground with a slip, and when I looked I saw a tent nail about 2cm sticking out of the ground. I examined the place and discovered 3 more, all of which I was able to sink with force and a large hammer. 21€ for dirt and grime in showers, toilets and sinks. Before warm water came, there was no time. There was no water on site. Upon request, a clever black man came and checked whether I might be too stupid to turn on the tap. His answer, then there is only water in the wash house 50m away... I didn't report the broken hot shower to save myself the next smart answer. If I see the staff standing around and no one thinks to clean anything, then I could puke.... Departure on the 2nd day, and... Never again. Now in Avalo, the exact opposite...even with warm dishwater, for the same price.

10/10/2023: In vacanza a Capo Vaticano abbiamo provato questo locale per una cena. Abbiamo assaggiato vari antipasti (bruschette, insalata di mare, polpette di pesce spada) e ordinato due fritture di calamari, il tutto accompagnato da del buonissimo vivo locale. Pesce fresco, buonissimo e porzioni abbondanti. Simpatia e gentilezza del personale. Consiglio a chiunque voglia mangiare del buon pesce.

04/10/2023: Dopo aver letto le varie recensioni siamo andati fiduciosi sperando di mangiare pesce fresco e qualità ottima. Purtroppo le aspettative sono state disattese poiché la qualità del pesce non era il top. Servizio penoso, prezzi alti, qualità del cibo scarsa. Non lo consiglierei.

19/09/2023: Io e il mio compagno siamo andati più volte nel corso della vacanza, e ogni piatto che abbiamo mangiato era sempre buonissimo, dalla pizza agli spaghetti con le vongole al fritto misto. Locale molto accogliente e personale cordiale e simpatico. Sembra di stare in famiglia.

15/09/2023: Ieri sera abbiamo deciso di mangiare in questo locale. Quando è arrivata la cameriera, ho ordinato una pepata di cozze per me, e una porzione di cozze per mia figlia non piccanti, naturali. La cameriera mi ha detto che era possibile fare questa piccola variazione. Quando sono arrivati i piatti, notaii subito che c'era qualcosa che non quadrava, oltre alle cozze c'era molta cipolla. INGREDIENTE CHE IN UNA PEPATA DI COZZE NON CENTRA NULLA. Dopo averne assaggiate 3pz forse 4 mia figlia mi ha detto che non le piacevano. Avevano un gusto strano, forse oltre alla cipolla, c'era anche della Nduja. Ho fatto presente alla cameriera che nel menù non c'era scritto che ci fosse la cipolla, e se potesse cambiare il piatto di mia figlia, perché non le piacevano. Io per non recare troppo disturbo ho deciso comunque di consumare la mia portata. Dopo aver spiegato alla cameriera che facesse fare delle cozze più naturali possibile, è arrivato finalmente il piatto con una versione di cozze senza cipolla. Quando ho chiesto il conto capii subito che non avevano tolto dal conto la portata "contestata tempestivamente". Visto che era il mio compleanno ho preferito lasciar stare, per evitare disguidi. In conclusione, sconsiglio vivamente questo locale per i seguenti motivi: 1) poca professionalità, in sala e in cucina 2) prezzi troppo alti per una trattoria. 3) menù poco chiaro. Ammettiamo che uno sia intollerante ad un ingrediente, oppure come nel caso di mia figlia che non piace la cipolla, e dopo aver ordinato gli arrivi la portata con un ingrediente che non è specificato nel menù, deve comunque pagare per un errore del ristorante? MADDAIII..... Chiaramente non ci ritorneremo, e mai e poi mai lo consiglieremo. A parer mio questi hanno sbagliato mestiere. 11.09.2023
