08/08/2024: Review: I recently visited the San Domenico restaurant and I must say that the experience was overall positive. The service was impeccable: the staff was courteous, attentive and always available to satisfy every request. The products used were of high quality, and each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail. However, I have to admit that the prices were quite high compared to average. Although the quality of the food and service partly justifies the cost, I believe that a slight reduction in prices would make the experience even more enjoyable and accessible to a wider audience. In summary, the San Domenico is a great choice for those looking for excellent service and quality products, but be prepared to spend a little more than usual.

03/08/2024: Top restaurant in Pizzo with a fantastic terrace. Sensational preparation of always varied dishes and excellent service. The wine list also leaves nothing to be desired. We are already looking forward to the next time.

03/08/2024: The lifeguards were really friendly and helpful. The Umbrella + 2 sunbeds cost 30 euro for August (from 2nd row on). The First row cost 35 euro. Which is much cheaper than the more central lidos.

29/08/2024: The scialatielli with swordfish were good, the second course with swordfish was less good, the other diner's pasta with anchovies was watery and had few anchovies! The frying was plentiful but not golden! The thing I didn't like at all was the 750ml bottle of water served in plastic.

07/08/2024: I give 5 stars because 10 and praise doesn't exist! Having happened by chance to take a photo at sunset, we were welcomed by a wonderful family and a setting on the sea that was nothing short of fairytale accompanied by an excellent dinner based on very fresh fish at a more than honest price. Rated 10 and praise 🌟⭐️ Super recommended, 3 minutes by car from Briatico.

11/08/2024: Very fast service, they sat us down at 11pm for dinner and by midnight we had already finished eating a while ago. The pizzas are very good, both the normal ones and the fried pizzas. Very tasty potatoes in their skin, I recommend taking the potato croquettes which are excellent and very stuffed with cheese. Honest prices, in August the Tropea area is a miracle, we had to pay €46.5 for three of us and they even gave us a €1.5 discount, we got 2 normal pizzas, a fried pizza, a portion of potatoes, a portion of potato croquettes , water, coke and a medium beer on tap, so the bill was perfectly in line with any pizzeria in Italy in a non-touristy place. The only note was that there was very little tuna in the Tropeana pizza. Overall highly recommended, 5 stars!

25/08/2024: We came in the evening. Dish served cold. The service 0 no water served during the entire service nor salt anything. We have to get up to ask for things because the waitresses pretend not to see you :) I give 3 stars for the kitchen because my dish was good (pasta) but not the rest.

27/08/2024: Per il secondo anno consecutivo siamo stati in vacanza a Tropea e con molto piacere siamo tornati a mangiare in questo magnifico posto. Partiamo con la cosa più importante: Il servizio eccellente rapido e con molta professionalità e attenzione verso i clienti. Cibo eccellente, a partire dall’antipasto Manitta e un menu completo di carne e pesce. Tutto molto buono con ingredienti indubbiamente di qualità. Consiglio vivamente a tutti di fare visita in questo ristorante. Rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente. Unico appunto ma del tutto costruttivo e ovviamente irrilevante, poco luminoso il tavolo, ma siamo capitati lontano dalle luci.

26/08/2024: Vorrei rispondere a Emanuela B. Dopo aver letto la sua recensione nonostante in spiaggia alcuni amici me ne avessero parlato molto bene, ero titubante ad andarci ma, alla fine mi sono fatta convincere e col nostro gruppo di amici abbiamo prenotato e siamo andati. Rimpiango di non esserci andata fin dall'inizio della vacanza, ma due volte che sono andata sono sufficienti per poter affermare che nessun cameriere versava lo stesso vino in più tavoli tenendolo sotto braccio ma al contrario posso affermare la grande professionalità di tutti i camerieri oltre alla loro simpatia. Il menù sia di terra che di mare (li abbiamo provati entrambi in due sere diverse), dire eccellente per tutto è veramente poco. Nessuna pietanza è arrivata tiepida, non abbiamo atteso molto, servizio impeccabile. I fileja di una delizia unica, la carne super buona, in tanti anni qui in Calabria ho trovato pochissimi ristoranti di questo livello e qualità. (Noi in vacanza la sera ceniamo sempre fuori) e cosa dire dei vini? Ottima la loro lista (il Mura Nera eccezionale) così come il vino della casa. Il luogo? Stupenda lochescion, posto da sogno dove trascorrere una serata indimenticabile. Non ho trovato una sola pecca, addirittura il titolare chiedeva ad ogni tavolo come si fossero trovati se avevano cenato bene, una premura che tutti i ristoratori dovrebbero avere. L'unico rammarico è non esserci andata prima grazie alla sua recensione che le consiglio di rimuovere, ma non mancherò di andarci al mio prossimo viaggio in Calabria. Spero che nessun altro si faccia influenzare da recensioni assurde. Andateci se volete mangiare bene e pagare un conto onesto. Secondo me e la mia compagnia merita il prestigioso riconoscimento di una stella Michelin.
