11/07/2025: I went to dinner with my family and we had a great time. The food was very good and the service impeccable. We ate both seafood and meat, both very good.

09/07/2025: A charming place with a unique atmosphere, located a bit off the beaten track, away from the hustle and bustle. The incredibly friendly and helpful staff made us feel truly welcome. We fancied spaghetti carbonara—even though it wasn't on the menu, the waiter offered to have it prepared especially for us. This was very kind of them and demonstrates their great flexibility. The dish was prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and tasted delicious. The entire visit left a very positive impression. We will definitely be back again soon. 😊

15/07/2025: A great find in the historic center of Tropea. The elegant atmosphere is complemented by pleasant background music that makes the atmosphere even more intimate. Delicious dishes. Friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

18/07/2025: Just outside Pizzo, a modern, fresh place with quality products... I had the famous "truffle," but with pistachio. Delicious and very generous... parking on site! 😮

18/07/2025: The quality of Penna's pastry shop is renowned, and I won't go into too much detail. However, I wanted to give a shout-out to Barman Fortunato. He represents a precious added value. Not many cocktail bars can boast such high-level professionals. If you're a mixologist, I can only recommend an aperitivo at Penna to appreciate the passion (beyond technique!) he puts into his creations! Congratulations! I'll end with a small, obviously constructive, criticism. Twice, my partner's table was cleared with part of the platter still unfinished after she'd finished her drink. It seemed like an invitation to get up... definitely an oversight given the young age of both waiters! Congratulations again, and see you soon! Gianluca

06/06/2025: Amazing! Professionalism, competence, cordiality and kindness distinguish the Popilia Country Resort. Last weekend with my sister-in-law we took advantage of all the services: impeccable! An unforgettable sensory experience. A round of applause to all the staff (receptionist, spa, restaurant and cleaning). Immersed in nature with a fabulous view. This is the Calabria that we like and are proud of. Highly recommended!

13/07/2025: We had dinner here last night. I'll start by saying we were late because, unfortunately, finding parking and the traffic were impossible, but we still let the restaurant know. The staff was extremely kind, and the waiters were always nice and polite. Unfortunately, we were dissatisfied with the food. The ALICE appetizer was different from the menu description and definitely not worth the price. Instead of king prawns, there was a shrimp, and the anchovies were fried, not marinated, and you couldn't even see them on the plate. A miserable dish. In short, a real joke, especially after seeing other customer photos here in the reviews. The pasta arrived dry and cold. There wasn't even a hint of the prawn bisque. It was very white and unseasoned. They'd obviously run out of seasoning, but it was enough to mention it. I'd been to this restaurant years ago, but I think management has changed. I hope last night was a fluke, but if you don't have any ingredients, I recommend letting the table know, as it feels like a joke. Since we work in the industry ourselves, we understand certain situations very well, but as a paying customer, it's not pleasant. I reiterate the kindness of the guys and girls at the cash register, who apologized profusely for serving us so late, and regardless, they were always very kind and attentive.

25/06/2025: We had a very good and abundant appetizer, the service could be improved a lot and the environment was a bit disappointing. Even getting to the place is a bit complicated due to the poor indications and the narrow and ruined streets.

20/07/2025: We came for dinner tonight. The food was divine, and the service was impeccable. Kudos to the owners and the friendly, helpful waiters who catered to our every request. Excellent value for money! I recommend it and will definitely be back.

18/07/2025: The prices are out of this world. We paid €8 for a small cappuccino, macchiato, and Coca-Cola! The location is a big plus. There's not much atmosphere here. We simply didn't see any umbrellas or tables inside. I can understand the price considering the artifacts, but oh well.

15/07/2025: We've been there twice with work colleagues. The beer selection is excellent (not overwhelming), as are the appetizers to accompany them. The staff is friendly, and the location is lovely. The sandwiches also lived up to expectations. I highly recommend it.

18/07/2025: In una sera dal cielo terso e dall’aria dolce, io e la mia gentile compagna abbiamo scelto di cenare all’aperto presso il Ristorante Pizzeria Porta Nova, godendo di un’atmosfera tranquilla e ben curata, ideale per chi desidera sfuggire al ritmo affrettato della quotidianità. Pur non essendo le pizze il fulcro assoluto dell’offerta culinaria del locale, esse si sono rivelate autentiche protagoniste della nostra serata. L’impasto, fragrante e ben lievitato, unito a condimenti generosi e sapientemente dosati, ha dato vita a un equilibrio di sapori che ha saputo conquistare il nostro palato con elegante semplicità. Non tutto, però, è stato privo di imperfezioni: le patatine, richieste in accompagnamento, sono giunte al tavolo con un ritardo tale da compromettere la simultaneità del pasto. Un dettaglio, forse, ma non trascurabile per chi apprezza la sincronia del servizio come parte integrante dell’esperienza gastronomica. Nel complesso, Porta Nova si distingue per qualità e garbo, offrendo un’esperienza più che soddisfacente in un contesto piacevole. Quattro stelle su cinque rappresentano un giudizio equilibrato: meritato per la bontà delle pizze e l’atmosfera accogliente, ma con un piccolo margine di miglioramento nella gestione del servizio.
