23/07/2024: We went there by chance, choosing where to eat via the fork! We were looking for a new place and since it had good reviews we decided to give it a try... we went quite early, around 7.30pm... we were greeted by a very kind guy who made us sit down and also advised us on the choices to make in also quite convincing way! I have to say though that he was right... I was skeptical about tuna and he left me with a challenge... that is, I wouldn't have paid for it if I didn't like it and it would have brought me more! Instead it was very good! The dessert was also very good, a decomposed millefeuille entirely made by them... excellent!!

19/08/2024: Every year on the occasion of the festival we stop for lunch and sometimes also for dinner at Nicola's, a simple, humble and good-hearted person, together with all the staff the food is of excellent quality, in all these years he has never disappointed us... I recommend it warmly ❤️

17/08/2024: The pizza is really very tasty, not salty, with quality and well-balanced ingredients. For example, the "...frantoio" pizza has a scent of oil and a typical flavor of a "village" or home-made wood-fired oven. We tasted both the round pizza and the peel pizza (taking some pieces at the counter), preferring the second as it is slightly thicker and therefore with a more intense wood-fired oven flavour. In general, however, the dough is soft and fluffy, but not very "flaky" (it also perhaps lacks a bit of crunchiness typical of pizzas similar to the shovel). The fried foods are also very tasty and dry. You can take away or eat in outdoors in an absolutely informal and spartan context, consistent with the type of service. Overall, it makes you want to return to try the many other flavors of pizzas on the menu.

31/07/2024: I have been coming to Calabria for 30 years and I have found very few places like this so far. This place, which is a gem, is nestled in the splendid streets of Badolato. Few tables, away from the crowd, with spectacular views. Ate very well, with genuine flavors thanks to the high quality raw materials. Friendly but discreet staff. Thank you so much, I needed a dinner like this! Very honest price for what is offered! Thanks and well done!!!!

26/07/2024: Restaurant located in an ancient and rustic setting in Badolato, with a suggestive view, with a fixed menu of meat or fish for 40 euros (wines and drinks excluded). The dishes served (two appetizers, a first course, a second course and a dessert) are an explosion of local flavors, prepared with love and wisdom by the chef and served with love and courtesy by the owners. Everything is excellent, in the right quantities (there are no tavern portions, nor even gourmet portions) and you leave happy and satisfied,

25/08/2024: After various searches we came across this fantastic restaurant, as soon as we arrived we were welcomed really well at the entrance, the staff were kind and courteous. Once seated we were able to savor one of a kind cuisine, it is difficult to find places in the area where you can savor such exquisite dishes. I recommend it to everyone, we will definitely be back soon. Ale&Marty

06/08/2024: Visited for dinner on a Saturday evening. The place is on the beach, a typical lido place. Pleasant and welcoming environment, friendly staff. Evening enlivened by music, small dance floor available. The food is good, just a small note on the service due to the waiting times, sometimes beyond the acceptable limit, and some young waiters looking for the table. However local ok. Average prices; accessible.

It deserves a full 5 stars, pasta dish with mussels and clams to be praised, super excellent and tasty portion, good pizza with the modification suggested by the friendly Mariateresa, top frying. All that remains is to thank all the staff from Mariateresa, Sergio the owner, the friendly Salvatore and all the other workers. Although it was previously recommended also for the historical memory of the area, it is now SUPER RECOMMENDED WITH 5 SUPERIOR STARS

16/08/2024: Takeaway pizza. Slow service. We had to wait almost 1 hour due to an unexpected incident with the pizza chef, according to them. Pizza burnt in some places. I also took two portions of french fries but they arrived limp and cold because they had been prepared too long in advance.

03/08/2024: Location molto bella, sia interno che esterno. Personale cordiale, con tempismi ottimi e disponibili. Hamburger fenomenali, cottura perfetta e prodotti di qualità. Patatine leggermente spesse per i miei gusti (le preferisci più crunchy) Da provare assolutamente !!

21/07/2024: The place is enchanting, surrounded by greenery. The staff were certainly friendly and helpful but not very organised. Maintenance and care of the structure would be necessary, I don't know the owners, but they have a "jewel" that they should enhance.

15/07/2024: Very beautiful place but the presence of wandering dogs inside the structure makes it difficult if not impossible for guests accompanied by their furry friends to use the common areas. This very little attention that the structure pays to its accompanied guests meant that my stay ended prematurely. My complaints to those who were there to act as owners were of no avail. Even though I told them about the attack on my dog, luckily without any consequences, no one took action, in fact they didn't know what to do other than say that the dogs were not their property. I would like to underline that I am a convinced animal rights activist and it is right that the dogs stay there but in safety. Guests must be able to use the facility in peace and permanent animals must or rather should be kept in a special area equipped for their well-being and our safety. Such a situation is unthinkable. I am dismayed by the rough management of the facility's resident animals. We need more respect for guests and especially for animals.

11/08/2024: Very tasty pizza and very tasty fish dishes. A MUST if you are in Gizzeria Lido. Very friendly restaurant. The staff is courteous, attentive and super friendly. Absolutely recommended. We would definitely like to come back!!!! Thank you for the lovely and relaxing evening.
