08/03/2025: Service in this restaurant is fantastic and they really make you feel welcomed! We had the tasting menu, which starts with a chef’s selection of starters: they were wonderful although the fact that nearby tables - very close to yours - have something you’d like more than that you had, detracts a bit from the enjoyment…. First course we went for the orecchiette al ragu della domenica, we will say that you can happily skip those. Main were a tagliata and a pignatta - both a humph away from exceptional. Dessert will not be mentioned here. We really loved the restaurant but didn’t love the food if that makes sense?

24/08/2025: A very welcoming kiosk, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We spent several evenings there and discovered that it's also an excellent pizzeria. The photos speak for themselves.

20/08/2025: This restaurant, which boasts a lovely outdoor terrace, offers a variety of specialties, including seafood. However, it's a shame that some are prepared with "frozen" products, such as the €20 grilled meat.

17/08/2025: Terrible experience. I went to dinner here a few days ago with a group of friends. My only lasting memory is of rude, intrusive, and unpleasant service. Starting with the dishes and wines the waiter insistently "recommends" (or tries to impose, to be fair). He then proceeds to blame the guests amidst the delirium of service (I open the restaurant menu and find the first sheet missing from its cover: I don't have time to pick it up, read it, and put it back together before I'm scolded for dismantling the menu). So many banalities that make the stay and the evening highly unpleasant. Another sore point about the service is the lack of staff. We spent the evening with the waiter rushing around, saying "I'll be there after I've been to the other table" every time we asked for an audience (perhaps they should adjust the staff to the restaurant's capacity, or adjust the number of guests accommodated based on staffing). All these aspects contributed to a tragicomic and unpleasant atmosphere, which this place would have the (unexploited) fortune to find within a romantic and timeless setting like that created by the Sassi of Matera. I find these unpleasant experiences both in various reviews from those who had unluckily stumbled upon this place before us, and in the clumsy and rude responses given to them. My mistake for not having read these reviews first. A quick note on the food: nothing special, dishes that were average, but not particularly impressive. But overall, they were made secondary by the circumstances we found ourselves in.

17/08/2025: We visited this restaurant three times during our stay in Matera. The service was impeccable, the wine list was extensive, the wait time was average, and above all, the food was truly delicious! Thank you.

13/07/2025: I practically left the table hungry, a "cook" unsuited to this job in terms of skill and education. I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy. It's definitely on its way out.

15/08/2025: We ordered a grilled sausage, a veal rib, and a homemade pasta dish with ricotta and cruschi peppers. On the side, we had a salad, chicory, and cruschi peppers. Everything was delicious!

31/08/2025: It's always best to book. Excellent value for money. Traditional cuisine, excellent pizza. Spacious, airy restaurant, large windows, panoramic views.

24/08/2025: I called on Thursday to make a reservation for Sunday lunch for just two people and was told to call back on Sunday just before lunch. I called at 12 pm sharp and was rudely dismissed because the restaurant was full, and when I mentioned that I called three days earlier, the excuse was "what if she hadn't come????" Impolite, arrogant, and rude, they only patronize and favor tables for 20 people!
