06/01/2025: We arrived at this very renowned pastry shop to taste sospiri, the famous "nun's tits", a true delicacy!! Very soft with shantilly cream, or filled with pistachio or coffee cream etc... nice place, a nice display of sweet pastries and chocolates, good service.

20/12/2024: Excellent local products accompanied by excellent wines, Marisa the perfect host. Place in the center ideal for a break, aperitif or complete meals. Shop with vacuum-packed products to take home as perfect souvenirs. I will definitely come back!

18/01/2025: I have eaten at this place for two days and the new management is excellent. First class service and delicious food. I recommend the Cavatelli and the Angus Tagliata.
In addition, I needed to take a taxi and the two managers kindly took care of reserving it.

06/01/2025: The restaurant is in a panoramic and characteristic position, I recommend it whether you are in the area or, like me, after a visit to the Rocca Imperiale castle.
This restaurant is absolutely worth a visit for 3 reasons: the infinite kindness of all the staff, excellent food and good wine.

Excellent raw materials and better processed.
Dishes that have a history and a host who has a great desire to do well by telling everything with such enthusiasm. Well done too, mother's golden hands in the kitchen, incredible macaroni!

02/01/2025: Michelin-starred and award-winning restaurant by chef Federico Valicenti; very particular dishes, partly belonging to the Lucanian tradition but revisited and renewed with new flavor notes, respecting the local peasant and pastoral culture. The cooking of the meat (truly fabulous porchettato lamb) and of the second courses in general is particularly notable and exquisite; the first courses are more "ordinary", although they are also very good and innovative. Tasty appetizers and local cold cuts. The dessert "tiramisud" is also excellent. The chef is very courteous, helpful and present in describing dishes and flavours, making the experience pleasant and homemade. The restaurant-style restaurant (including bathrooms) is however very dated, and the service (apart from the chef) is quite anonymous. Finally, the bill is that of a high-level restaurant; small portions but, in the context of the tasting menu, you will not remain hungry (starters, two first courses, two second courses, house wine, water, dessert with encore and coffee = €50 per person). With a complete restyling of the place and a more "present" and professional waiter I would have given it 5 stars.

Piatti eseguiti magistralmente con più di un guizzo estroso.
Ottimo, preciso e poco invadente il servizio contornato da una cantina che permette di soddisfare tutti i gusti e le esigenze.
Una tappa che non può mancare per chiunque visiti Matera
20/01/2025: If there was the possibility I would give 10 stars! My daughter and I had dinner and were thrilled with both the divinely cooked dishes and the place. The waitress is friendly and helpful, the price is more than honest for the service received and the care taken with the dishes.

08/01/2025: Nice environment, quite good food but some dishes needed a little more flavour, for example the truffle tagliatelle, you couldn't taste the truffle... tasty appetizer but the parmigiana, although full of oil, was slightly without salt. not very good desserts, for example the tiramisu lacked sugar... smiling staff but unprepared to welcome disabled people,
As indicated on Google, basic elements for people with mobility difficulties such as the bathroom or an access ramp to the only step that you have to climb to access the room were missing.
We had given 3 stars but they become 1 given the call from the waitress who sent us to hell for the review! Hahahahahhah
In life you must also know how to accept the observations that are made. And in any case, she seems to be the only person angry with life since she took the trouble to call us! 🤣 greetings and kisses.

20/01/2025: it is delicious! I ate gelato pistachio + cherry + chocolate and drank decaffeinated cappuccino, and it was much cheaper than in Seoul. Decaf is an additional 0.1 euros. It seemed like there was a change to soy milk too! (I've seen places in Korea that charge 1,000 won) Gelato comes in three flavors for 3.5 euros!

08/01/2025: Excellent restaurant. Fast, prepared and very kind service. Quality wine list, the calamarata with bran peppers and breadcrumbs and the space Tomahawk. Absolutely correct quality-price ratio. Truly a nice discovery, we will be back!
