04/01/2026: La Baita a Scanno is an excellent restaurant to stop at after a day spent in nature. Lunch was delicious and of high quality, featuring traditional local dishes. The arrosticini, in particular, were excellent: well-cooked, flavorful, and truly delicious.
The atmosphere is welcoming and the service courteous, making the experience pleasant and relaxing. It's a recommended place for anyone who wants to sample Abruzzo cuisine in a family atmosphere.

Excellent food, highly recommended!
18/02/2026: Excellent family-run restaurant and pizzeria, serving Abruzzo specialties, a relaxed atmosphere, and reasonable prices. It's perfect for families and even for large gatherings with friends.
Pizza takeout is also available.

28/07/2025: Biscotti buoni anzi ottimi. Ci siamo fermati durante la passeggiata prima di cena e abbiamo acquistato dei biscotti con cioccolato veramente ottimi. Da non tralasciare durante una visita a Scanno.
25/07/2025: Il sapore della tradizione abruzzese, uno spazio piccolo, ma col suo perché, un'esperienza da provare per chi ama prodotti tipici col sapore di casa.

03/03/2026: A stunning location, with a welcoming and refined atmosphere that makes lunch enjoyable. The waiters are extremely kind and helpful, always smiling. The portions are super generous, perfect if you're hungry! Unfortunately, the food quality isn't up to par: the dishes were bland, lacking the intense flavor you'd expect. The prices are average. At the end of the bill, they charged us for an extra bottle of water we hadn't ordered, but these mistakes happen.

21/02/2026: We called to reserve a table, but as soon as we learned we had a very annoyed little dog, he told us to leave it in the car. Never tried it, and never will.
19/10/2025: We discovered La Foce during a stroll through the heart of Scanno, and immediately felt at home. We tried the cazzellitti con le fuoja (a type of pasta) and the sagnette con i fagioli (a type of pasta with beans): extraordinary dishes, prepared with such care and love that you can taste in every bite. Everything is homemade and cooked to order, a true culinary experience!
The atmosphere is warm and familiar, the owners were extremely kind and welcomed us with great warmth. It's clear that a tradition is being carried on here with passion and dedication.
We were delighted and can't wait to return. A must-see for anyone visiting Scanno who wants to enjoy authentic local cuisine.

02/11/2025: I can't judge the quality of the food because I didn't eat. But the experience wasn't satisfactory. After the horseback ride, some of the group wanted to eat arrosticini, there were 10 of us in total. Only 4 of us ate. Only 4 people were seated; the rest were standing and had brought packed lunches since arrosticini weren't served. Those sitting at the table ordered arrosticini, beer, and a scamorza. The table wasn't set, and no glasses were brought. They were sitting on a picnic bench, but again, only 4 people were seated (also because only those 4 people could fit). A cover charge was charged for everyone. 6 people didn't use any service. The problem isn't the money; a 2 euro cover charge won't change anyone's life (we paid 20 euros cover charge, and 4 of us ate), but I don't think this is the right way to behave. Disappointing.
02/11/2025: We had a wonderful horseback ride with Gerardino, who made you feel at ease.
Wonderful family-run business, they manage to convey their passion for animals.
We'll definitely be back, great prices!

20/07/2025: Siamo andati a pranzo in 30 persone!
Molto costoso ! Antipasto un primo e agnello con patate 52 euro a persona.. una bottiglia di vino scadente 25 euro!!! Una bottiglia di acqua frizzante 3 euro!!! Incredibile per un agriturismo basso livello senza neanche la tovaglia! Lo sconsiglio ! La titolare molto scortese

03/09/2024: Scrivere una recensione negativa mi imbarazza sempre però non posso negare l' evidenza. Per due antipasti, due primi, un dolce, una bottiglia d'acqua e un calice di vino, chiedere 80€ è esagerato. L' unico aspetto che si è salvato è la cortesia del personale, capirai...con quel che chiedono è facile esseri cortesi...
Fossero cose ricercate...Un antipasto a base di anguria 15€ una rapina. L'altro antipasto, polpette con cipolle mi fa mangiare la carne prima della pasta mah! , e sempre 15 €. La pasta alle orapi ribalterà il giudizio? Macché, non mi è piaciuta. Si sono salvate le chitarrine ai tre pomodori. Per concludere abbiamo pranzato con la puzza della polvere di caffè che bruciano per allontanare le vespe e le mosche mentre allontanano i clienti... insomma, una delusione.

Gestione prenotazioni senza rispetto. Nonostante avevamo prenotato da giorni, ed eravamo in fila ad attendere, ci hanno fatto passare avanti dei loro amici dicendoci che avevano dato via l'ultimo tavolo e non avremmo potuto mangiare, nonostante i bambini presenti nel gruppo.
Mai successa una cosa cosi senza rispetto.

10/08/2024: Siamo stati 2 notti con il nostro cane, posizione eccellente in centro a Scanno, la titolare molto cordiale ci ha dato tutte le informazioni necessarie per trascorrere due giorni piacevoli. Stanza (mansarda) piccola ma pulita. Peccato la mancanza di frigo bar. Colazione super con ciambellone, plumcake e biscotti fatti in casa.

28/07/2025: Avremmo voluto cenare qui, ma non è stato possibile. Tutto prenotato tra le 19:30 e le 20:00 e non prenotavano per orari ulteriori. Se volete mangiare prenotate i pochi tavoli per tempo oppure rinunciatevi.
21/07/2025: Trattoria a conduzione familiare, con piatti cucinati al momento, noi abbiamo preso tagliatelle al cinghiale e uno dei piatti del giorno " un polpettone ripieno di verdure prosciutto e formaggi" entrambi buonissimi...patate al forno e antipasto di bruschette varie e sfiziose, e x finire una cheesecake fatta in casa da scegliere in varie varianti, noi abbiamo scelto con Nutella e granella di nocciole, leggera e davvero speciale.
Ringrazio la cordialità della proprietaria e la professionalità ed educazione della ragazza che ci ha servito.
Sicuramente ogni volta che torneremo da queste parti saremo vostri ospiti.
Il prezzo adeguato e meno caro degli altri posti della zona.
