12/10/2025: The food was very good, and the vegan menu was particularly welcome, in addition to the vegetarian one, which is definitely not a given. The service was discreet, neither too frenetic nor too slow. When it came time to get the bill, they noticed a mistake of one euro too much and repaid it. Highly recommended.

02/10/2025: A lovely evening in a very welcoming place. Relaxing atmosphere and captivating colors. Excellent food. Perhaps the portions are a bit smaller than other similar restaurants, and consequently the prices are a bit high. Good service, perhaps a bit pushy during dinner. You should give customers a break during the meal, not just at the end. This is subjective, because everyone was courteous and polite. The menu is extensive, including gluten-free options. I'm sure there will be other opportunities to try other dishes.

22/10/2025: Nice atmosphere, though a bit noisy when full. Excellent service. The Indian cuisine is unique, excellent, and different from the usual traditional dishes. I'd prefer a little more Indian "personality."

22/10/2025: I went to this place one evening last weekend with my partner and we had a great time, the staff were very kind and helpful.

21/10/2025: SEP 2025. The setting features typical Indian furnishings, but the atmosphere is very, very old-fashioned and sad. It feels like an old, dirty Indian restaurant. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable and rigid, with vertical backrests (90°), making even eating unpleasant. Despite this, the food was enjoyable. The service was efficient. Overall, a 7/10.

19/10/2025: We've been frequenting this place for years. I've tried several Indian restaurants in the Lombardy region. In my opinion, the food at Mughal is the best in the area. Keep in mind that everything is cooked fresh, so the wait time isn't just 10 minutes. The staff are always friendly. Also recommended for takeout. For anyone who loves Indian cuisine, it's a must-try. They also offer several vegetarian options.

17/10/2025: My first time here. The food is a notable step up from most. The flavors were perfectly balanced. I started with the onion rings a Gluten Free appetizer and they were soft and delicious. There are many GF options on their menu. Everything we ordered was perfectly spiced. We chose a very reasonably priced bottle of Viognier IGT which paired perfectly with our Biryani and Chicken Tandoori. Travelers should note that if you do not finish your bottle of wine you can take it with you as you leave. The staff was attentive and professional. The restaurant just celebrated 25 years which is commendable. Also the chef is well known in the local community as they are the number one catering company for large cultural events and Indian weddings of the area. An easy walk from the train station. We parked at the nearby underground parking called Porta al Prato.

13/09/2025: An excellent ethnic restaurant in one of the liveliest squares in Pisa's city center. Specializing in meat, fish, and vegetable dishes cooked according to the ancient tandoor oven tradition, the restaurant, with both indoor and outdoor seating, offers a wide selection of incredibly tasty traditional Indian dishes: from appetizers (the mix of samosas, aloo bonda, paneer, sabzi, and chicken pakora is fantastic) to various basmati rice variations, from marinated chicken bites (the chicken tandoori and chicken tikka are excellent) to spicy lamb stew, served in characteristic decorated copper bowls (the mutton curry, or the even more "mean" mutton vindaloo, is fantastic), not to mention the pork, the many variations of nan (the traditional, thin Indian flatbread), and a wide selection of vegetarian options. As a beer enthusiast, I recommend pairing everything with the amazing Indian lager "Cobra": fresh and light, it pairs perfectly with the intense, smoky, and sometimes pungent flavors of the spiced meats! Sonia or her husband Sandeep will welcome you, show you to your table, and explain the menu: two exquisite, extremely polite, and competent professionals who will make you feel at ease, always offering a smile and a kind word! One last positive note, besides the perfect restrooms: the truly competitive prices, which, combined with the exceptionally high quality of the food, will encourage you to let go and indulge! In the last two years, we've been guests of "Tanduri" twice, and we can't wait to return!
