21/12/2024: We have just finished our first dinner in this place and we can only give 5 stars, for the environment, the food and the service. The environment is warm and welcoming, we spent a truly pleasant evening. The menu is extensive, there is a lot of choice and every course we ordered was delicious. An honorable mention to the person who served us (and in general to all the staff) because he was very kind and extremely helpful even in preparing a course that wasn't included in the menu (which they don't do in many other places). Thank you very much, we will recommend it to everyone. 😊

07/01/2025: The best sushi in Brindisi. Bento Lab is a small place and reservations are recommended but this is precisely its strong point. Quality instead of quantity, forget about your “all you can eat” experiences once inside. Every bite is an explosion of flavors exclusively prepared by the owner and chef. Super recommended!!

29/12/2024: Unfortunately, a negative experience: long waiting times between one dish and another, gyoza with prawns from the menu had to be plated but they were only steamed; I ask for yakitori but takoyaki arrives, it's the same but octopus like a smoothie in hard breading like a fried croquette, nothing to do with the original; fried rice, vegetables and prawns arrived first without prawns, then tasteless prawns were added but the dish was still too dry overall. The only saving grace is the kindness of the waitress who came to apologize several times.

01/12/2024: Honestly, I was very disappointed, I have been used to going to high quality restaurants for over 25 years, Fusion, Thai and Jappa and having eaten here at least 8 years ago I would say that the situation has gotten worse. Service like a tavern, there is no staff and the waiters have to reach out to order something, but this is common in 90% of Italian restaurants. Food well presented, but nothing particularly special. I was expecting wild salmon like the other Fusion restaurant in Lecce chose, not an All you can eat salmon. I got the seafood Ramen, which overall wasn't bad, but the supermarket spaghetti wasn't. TOO NOISY environment, I wouldn't go back for this and for the poor service other than to seat you and for the first order, after which goodbye. I hope mine is taken as constructive criticism and nothing personal. The price would have been right if the service was better.

12/01/2025: Excuse me, but do you call this a truffle? It's terrible, it stinks, it's black, and although we removed it as you can see from the photos it contaminated the rest of the roll making it inedible, how can you serve something so seriously, I would have preferred to be told that the truffle wasn't there today rather than receiving this, I invite you to taste it to make you realize what you have given us for €20 paid, I am disappointed because I often order from here and I didn't expect something like this.

12/01/2025: Third dinner in this restaurant, this time to experience a "sublime fusion Experience". Right from the start we are described a menu that is very different from the one on the site... more concise and much less enticing. The dishes are also banal, very far from a sublime experience - at the cost - and without considering the very, very small portions (two of us almost always had to divide the only dish served to us). Of the double second course that was included in the package purchased (and which, I repeat, is still reported on their website today), only one arrives... Having reported everything at the cash desk, we were confirmed to have changed the menu of which we were not informed at the office booking (made online with explicit reference to the package purchased). Disappointing. I don't think there will be new opportunities, too bad.

03/11/2024: Posto davvero unico, sia nell’ambiente e sia a tavola! Pesce sempre fresco, i piatti altamente curati, il vino ben abbinato ed i proprietari molto attenti alle esigenze del cliente. Esperienza decisamente positiva, consiglio vivamente questo ristorante! Ci ritornerò sicuramente!

11/12/2024: Through our real estate agent Caterina Magno from the Bonifazi agency, we met the extremely nice and charming Antonio, who helped us a lot with our first steps in our new home. Antonio speaks fluent German and is a very friendly and competent waiter in the “KUMI” restaurant in Gallipoli. And so it was no question for us that we would visit this restaurant for dinner. The website of the Japanese restaurant »KUMI« opens with the slogan “Sushi passion, made locally”. Furthermore, it can be read that the word “KUMI” “in Japanese means the interweaving and unification of elements that can create power and beauty. Overlooking the Ionian Sea... »KUMI« is a tribute to fusion cuisine that creates... beauty from the interweaving of distant gastronomic cultures linked by a love of the sea. “KUMI” is a very fine restaurant where the Japanese tradition and the treasures of the sea of ​​Gallipoli merge to create an irresistible beauty for the eyes and an unmistakable taste for the palate….” We can only confirm these words after our visit: You not only see, but you can actually feel that sushi is the world of “KUMI”. 21/12/2024: High prices for mediocre quality. I ate with an all-you-can-eat formula for 30 euros (the highest price in circulation) + 7 euros for a glass of wine + 2 euros cover charge) and I expected at least quality and service adequate for the price. I was disappointed: I found the food of mediocre quality both in terms of raw materials and processing (for example, burnt-flavoured tataki, tasteless salmon and tuna,...), orders arrived incorrectly or not at all. 41 euros for bad food

27/10/2024: 3 stars for prices not consistent with what the place offers (ruined chairs, no tablecloths, little attention to detail in the environment). Little variety on the menu and some dishes not feasible due to lack of raw materials. Good service.
