03/01/2026: The restaurant reopened last year after being closed for a few years. I'm not sure if it was under new management, but the current one has done a great job!
The atmosphere is welcoming and quiet, and the soft lighting combined with a lovely fireplace (lit! 😉) create a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere.
The service is always precise and professional, and we developed a rapport with the staff, who were fun to chat with, beyond the usual routine.
The dishes are good; I was satisfied with the tagliatelle with venison ragù and the veal fillet with three peppercorns. The tiramisu, however, despite its beautiful presentation, wasn't matched by its adequate flavor; I found it too lacking in sweetness, and the way it was assembled made it difficult to enjoy.

08/03/2026: Another great culinary experience from Chef Rao. A unique journey through traditional Piedmontese dishes revisited in a Chiana fusion style, with influences from the cultures the chef encountered in his explorations of the world.
Piedmontese ravioli become wonderful ghioza, tiramisu becomes a sushi roll, and so on.
The sliced beef steak was, unfortunately, perhaps the least successful dish.
05/03/2026: A wonderful experience. Initially, the owner's welcome was a bit stiff, and she didn't seem very willing to accommodate minor intolerances or tastes so we could still enjoy the tasting menu. Luckily, we overlooked it and were happy we chose it anyway.
The mousse bouche and appetizers were delicious, unique, and delicious. The gnocchi could definitely be improved (maybe because it's one of my favorite dishes in general and I found them a bit rubbery). The octopus and bean main course was good, but the dessert (chocolate-covered Gorgonzola ice cream) was a major disappointment. I don't think you can offer a dish like this without first anticipating it and perhaps offering an alternative. I found it inedible. What a shame.

The best injera I’ve tasted outside of Ethiopia.
The food was unique and deeply memorable, the staff were wonderful, and the prices were very reasonable.
A meal that genuinely brought back memories of traveling through Africa.
12/11/2025: A unique experience, absolutely worth trying, especially if you go to the small dining room where you eat on the floor and with your hands (I recommend booking because it's worth it). The waitress is incredibly kind and always smiling; it's a pleasure to watch her wander from table to table. The dishes are delicious and you can taste they're expertly prepared. I highly recommend them!!

18/12/2025: A superb seafood dinner. We chose the tasting menu, which was a surprise and discovery with every bite... an absolute pleasure for the palate! Not to mention the wine paired with each course, perfectly paired and of superior quality. A total of 10+, definitely the best place to eat seafood in the Biella area and the surrounding area. Congratulations!
17/11/2025: We visited this restaurant for a special occasion. After a warm and friendly welcome, we ordered from the menu. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and attentive, the wine list extensive, and the dishes were meticulously prepared. The cuisine certainly exudes good taste, and the high quality of the expertly prepared ingredients is evident. Congratulations. We will definitely be back.

The daily menu is full of choices, for every taste! Good dishes, excellent for a lunch break.

Located on Via Alessandro Volta, in a super convenient location, just steps from the city center and all public transportation 🚶♂️🚋.
I had the pleasure of eating at this beautiful restaurant, where Domenico brings something truly special to the table ❤️
His cuisine is rooted in the South, specifically the Foggia area, and elegantly and surprisingly blends with Piedmont and Japan 🇮🇹🇯🇵.
What's truly impressive is the quality of the products 🌾🫒
Domenico proudly explains that the flour, oil, and many other ingredients come directly from his family—authentic, genuine products that make a difference with every bite.

An original, sincere, and top-notch gastronomic experience.

11/01/2026: An interesting place offering a menu of unconventional dishes, especially (but not exclusively) fusion pizzas with ingredients drawn from both Italian and Asian cuisines, with surprisingly (and pleasantly) surprising results. The pizza dough is also good, and the atmosphere is very relaxed, quiet, with pleasant, low-volume music that doesn't prevent conversation at the table, and the staff is extremely friendly (which is not a given).

This is the second time I've been fortunate enough to return to taste Chef Enrico Pivieri's cuisine, and once again the experience proved both surprising and completely convincing.
This time, instead of dinner, my partner and I chose to go for lunch on Saturday, March 7, 2026. The splendid sunny day allowed us to fully enjoy the air-conditioned veranda, a very pleasant and bright space that made lunch particularly relaxing.
Unfortunately, I don't remember all the dishes from our previous visit precisely: there were eight of us, and we shared numerous samples from the various courses. However, I remember very well the quality of the cuisine, which had already proven refined, balanced, and meticulously crafted, both in its presentation and in its aromatic and flavorful expression.
This time, too, the experience lived up to expectations:
Location: simple and elegant, with a refined yet never formal atmosphere
Service: attentive, professional, and yet friendly
Wine list: essential but well-constructed, featuring quality producers and an interesting selection of organic wines
Bread and breadsticks: excellent, with various varieties that pair well with the meal
Appetizers
Ceviche: fresh, balanced, and very elegant in its contrasts.
Fried egg yolk: delicious and perfectly executed.
First courses
Tajarin al nero: intense and enveloping.
Gnocchi with baby octopus: a dish rich in character and very well-balanced.
Second courses
Pluma: juicy and cooked with great precision.
Fried rabbit: crispy, light, and truly surprising.
Desserts
Three-chocolate pill: elegant and satisfying.
Sunrise: fresh and perfect to end the experience.
The coffee and final small pastry were amazing.
The bill was absolutely reasonable considering the overall quality of the experience.
In conclusion, a cuisine that demonstrates technique, personality, and great attention to the ingredients. Compliments to the chef and the entire staff: we'll definitely be back very soon.

24/02/2026: Good Tradizione menu but very small portions: focaccia necessary (tried the gorgonzola one: good). Fair choice among wines. Average quality for the price.

06/01/2026: I've been coming back to this place for years. Despite my food intolerances, I always manage to find something suitable. The atmosphere is magical, romantic, and cozy, with the charm of a mountain retreat but with style and class. The prices are absolutely justified by the quality of the experience. The outdoor location, atop the hill, is simply breathtaking, surrounded by mountains. Returning is always a pleasure, and I always recommend it to our guests.

26/12/2025: We stayed at Cioccolocanda during the Christmas holidays, taking advantage of the "Chocolate Contamination" package. It was a truly pleasant experience.
The inn is a truly simple and dated place, but very welcoming. All the staff were kind, helpful, and welcoming.
The museum tour was very enjoyable, accompanied by tastings of various chocolates and more.
Mr. Bessone proved to be very knowledgeable, and the chocolate cake-making class was very interesting. The chef's willingness to lead the class, despite the minimum number of participants, was noteworthy. This kindness was truly appreciated.
The dinner was truly hearty and tasty. The cocoa pairings of the various dishes were much appreciated.
The Cioccobagno, an immersion in chocolate, was wonderful. A truly unforgettable 360° sensory experience!
To conclude the stay, a generous sweet breakfast with various types of cakes and pastries. A true treat.
An experience definitely worth repeating.

02/08/2025: Non è la prima volta che mangiamo alla Trattoria ma devo dare un giudizio medio perché ieri sera sembrava di stare ad un matrimonio,un piatto dietro l'altro con pochissimissima attenzione e cura. Arrivati alle 20:15 circa abbiamo appreso che avevano quasi terminato un gruppo numeroso ma questo voler correre da un tavolo all'altro,co.e se fosse un matrimonio,non è proprio cosa che apprezzo. Antipasti buoni ma miseri primo piatto senza alcuna stella. Il mio dolce,frolla con pera cioccolato e ricotta era freddo di frigo.....
