12/09/2025: We stayed there for 7 nights, had a single room and a double room. The double room had a beautiful terrace, and the two rooms could be connected via a connecting door, which was very convenient. We were very surprised by the comfort of the rooms and the cleanliness and have no complaints. The staff is not only incredibly competent and friendly in every respect, but also does a wonderful job. The breakfast buffet was constantly replenished; there was never a shortage, and the selection was fantastic! We had our own parking space and felt very well looked after. We would book this hotel again without hesitation and would recommend it to anyone; the value for money is unbeatable. What I really like best, however, is the location: less than a minute away, you were on the main shopping, restaurant, and bar street. A 3-5-minute walk (maximum) took us to the beautiful beach, where we were assigned our own lounger by the hotel, so we never had to search for it and knew exactly where to go. The pool was always clean and well-maintained, but we prefer the sea. The playroom on the upper level of the hotel is perfect for families with children, and there's also a large and cozy roof terrace. Our rooms were equipped with a refrigerator and safe; we didn't miss anything. The organization was impeccable! Perfect service - perfect vacation! 15/10/2025: A disappointing experience in every way. The restaurant displays symbols and images that openly recall fascism—a deeply inappropriate and offensive choice, as well as contrary to democratic values. The staff, mostly inexperienced seasonal workers, does their best but is clearly left without adequate guidance. In summer, the heat and humidity inside make it stifling, while outside you're literally beset by mosquitoes. The food quality is questionable, and the prices are average but not justified. I don't recommend this place, both for its atmosphere and the message it conveys.

06/10/2025: This restaurant also offers a workers' lunch menu at reasonable prices. Very fast service, perfect for those looking for a quick meal without wasting too much time. Also open on Mondays for lunch. Advance reservations recommended. Often full.

28/09/2025: We went for dinner a few weeks ago. The sangria wasn't particularly good, and the paella wasn't particularly good or flavorful, even being a bit burnt. I understand the place only operates during the summer, but the prices are decidedly high for what they serve. Furthermore, the tablecloths were ruined and the table setting was sloppy.

21/09/2025: Everything was ok even if the waitress had made a mistake with the paella order, suggesting that we make up for it by offering a free dish as an apology.

04/06/2026: The food was very good, but we waited 1.5 hours for it, and in the end, only four grilled calamari arrived. The side dish came 20 minutes earlier and was, of course, cold by then. Definitely not recommended, and it gives Lignano a terrible reputation.

17/09/2025: The Hotel Mare impresses above all with its excellent location – just a few steps from the beach, and Lignano's city center is also quickly accessible. Ideal for a hassle-free beach holiday without long walks. The rooms are functionally furnished and clean, but very noisy. Noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms can be clearly heard, which can impede rest. The breakfast buffet is rather simple and, in terms of its scope and selection, is reminiscent of a classic bed and breakfast. This may be disappointing for guests with higher breakfast expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful, which is a positive. In conclusion: Those who value location above all else and are satisfied with a simple standard will feel at home here. For those seeking more peace or comfort, this may not be the first choice.

10/05/2026: Very good, I'd say. The dishes are plentiful and high-quality, the service is fast, and the girls in the dining room are truly special. The prices are absolutely fair, including the cover charge and drinks. I don't know why I've never tried the beer. It's particularly suited to a mostly young clientele.

07/04/2026: If I could give -10 stars, I would without hesitation. I have never in my life felt so ignored in a public place. Today we waited 15 minutes for anyone to even come to our table, while the waitress deliberately served everyone around us – even people who arrived much later than us. The waitress definitely saw us but consciously avoided eye contact and served orders to the neighboring tables. Even when we got up to leave, she walked past us without a word. This is absolutely outrageous and demonstrates a complete lack of basic customer service. I strongly advise against visiting if you don't want to feel like an intruder.
