I paid €6 for a simple Zabvov (zabaglione without cream, not bombardino) and served it myself because I left with a small shot glass...when a whole bottle at the supermarket costs €10...and in mountain resorts, drinking double the amount, I've never spent more than €4!! It's a rip-off! Shame on you!

Unfortunately, the high expectations we had for this day were not met, especially considering the importance of the occasion: our son's baptism.
The appetizer buffet was very limited in both variety and quantity, so much so that some guests were unable to sample anything.
The service, despite the courteous staff, seemed understaffed for the number of guests (about 45), resulting in long waits and refills of water and wine, which were only made upon request.
The children, who had a special menu, ate later than the adults due to poor timing.
During the toast, some guests' requests for additional sparkling wine were denied without consulting us; we would have expected to be consulted regarding whether or not to add it, even if it cost something, something we had clarified was not a problem.
Furthermore, some requests agreed upon during the reservation were not honored: the lactose-free menu was not considered, and an elderly lady with several intolerances, who had been asked for strudel for dessert, was unfortunately not served anything.
On a positive note: the first and second courses served at the table were very good and appreciated by everyone.
With greater attention to organization and service management, the experience could have been significantly improved, especially for important family events.

07/03/2026: Hotel Sonia in Trieste is a perfect choice for those seeking a functional, unpretentious base. I stayed in a single room, which, while decidedly small and basic, was offered at an excellent price, making it a very good value for the area. Cleanliness was standard, and service was prompt and efficient. It's a convenient option for those looking for an affordable base for a quick stopover or business trip, while accepting some compromises on comfort. Fair value for the price.
24/02/2026: Everything was excellent! A single room cost €40. Excellent conditions. For this price, you obviously don't have to add parking or breakfast. The only thing is that parking costs €30 per night and breakfast is €15. I chose to park just outside the hotel, to the right after the Q8. There are plenty of free parking spaces, and I had breakfast at the gas station bar. From the outside, it doesn't look big, but I can tell you that inside, it's a giant maze. I even had a laugh trying to get out of it in the morning. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. I'll gladly return.

Rifugio Premuda

08/05/2025: Ora che la gestione è cambiata, si gode nuovamente nell'arrivare al rifugio più basso del mondo. I piatti sono ottimi, la cucina è tradizionale ma finalmente curata e di ottima qualità pur rimanendo su livelli di costo da gita domenicale. Ottime le birre, i dolci e soprattutto finalmente un clima amichevole.
03/05/2025: Sono stata a pranzo con amici in questo rifugio storico finalmente riaperto, a parte la location in una posizione fantastica, è stato tutto super: ottimo cibo, porzioni più che adeguate, buon vino e dolci. Da sottolineare la gentilezza del personale, tutti ragazzi giovani cortesi e sorridenti.
Sicuramente un posto dove tornare con piacere.
