Escape to beautiful nature, 10 minutes drive from Koper. The circular route takes about 2 hours, mostly in the shade. Very exposed during strong bora winds, as they blow right across the valley.

I went with a scooter from Trieste 🤩 and then parked and walked a bit through the trails. It was so peaceful and quiet. It's beautiful. It continues up but I didn't have enough time.

A beautiful nature area with some easy anrufen some more difficult trails. Easily accessible from Triest by bus and a great destination for a day trip into the nature. There are beautiful rocks, waterfalls and some goats roaming around.

Beautiful walk, not too demanding (easy even for children, although in some places you may need to be careful due to narrow passages). From Bagnoli della Rosandra you reach Bottazzo in about an hour and a half, with a view of the waterfall and the pools (in summer you can also swim). The perfect place to regenerate and get away from the chaos of the city.

09/05/2026: Excellent food and very friendly staff. An intimate and welcoming family-run restaurant. The space is small, so I recommend making a reservation.
01/05/2026: A small side street, Vespas whizzing by... the tables are carefully decorated with greenery, intimately lit, very, very cozy. Excellent service, high-quality food. We hadn't expected so much personality in such a small restaurant. We tried many restaurants in Trieste, but this one was among our favorites.

13/05/2026: This is a restaurant with retro decor. It is a friendly local place but service is vety efficient. They have a small menu but with help from the waiting staff we made good choices. The pasta dish was very tasty. We followed with beef and pork, both regional dishes and very good, served with nice vegetables. Wine selection also very good. I would reccomend this restaurant.
09/05/2026: I stopped at this restaurant during a brief stop in Trieste. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The dishes are carefully prepared and the ingredients are excellent. They also offer vegetarian options. The kombucha is excellent and recommended as a lunchtime accompaniment.
