11/03/2024: Not much choice of dishes but excellent quality. 2 of us came without having booked on a Sunday lunch and found a free table. It's a shame not on the lower floor which has beautiful windows overlooking the sea, but at the last minute we were lucky to have found a place! The fried fish only is excellent

04/04/2024: The house cured meats are excellent, the hot sausage in a bread crust is also good and the savory pie with vegetables is also good, the red wine and the final grappas are always from the house, friendly and homely staff
04/04/2024: Among the best osmize in the Karst, with a vast offer of quality products and excellent teran. Very honest prices, lots of seating, both inside and outside. Large parking lot. Absolutely worth visiting.

Lots of peaceful animals in the greenery, games for children, the perfect place to spend a Sunday outdoors with the children!
The experience at the restaurant was a little less perfect, long waits and stressed staff... We had a single dish each but we weren't able to eat all together because the courses arrived up to 20 minutes apart, small portions (dish of ravioli with 4 ravioli.. 4!!), some arrived cold or almost cold,
paid a lot!

Personale estremamente cordiale e disponibile.
Ottimo menu di pesce e carne che varia, anche giornalmente, in base alla disponibilità giornaliera ( sinonimo di freschezza delle materie prime utilizzate ).
Possibilità di avere anche primi, secondi e dolci senza glutine.
Vivamente consigliato.

06/04/2024: A terrible experience, after a hot fish appetizer (1 capa santa, 2 scallops, 2 cape lungo, 6 small clams and 8 small mussels, all uniformly covered by an indefinite layer of simple and also burnt breadcrumbs, we left immediately. We paid 22 euros each plus cover charge and drinks (54) and it's ok, but certainly not because of that unworthy dish to be called such.
Dear owners, unfortunately bad bad. I have never eaten a hot appetizer like this, not even in a tavern

21/09/2023: Excellent aperitifs, prepared with lemon balm, elderberry or mint, to be paired with an exquisite savory strudel to be chosen with ham or cheese filling. The raw ham and the platters of mixed cold cuts are definitely worth tasting. The house wines are absolutely worth trying.

04/02/2024: Buon rapporto qualità prezzo, spaghetti alle vongole molto buoni e i calamari fritti ottimi, ambiente ampio e luminoso, soddisfatta, ci torneremo sicuramente!
27/10/2023: Wunderbarer Abend mit köstlichem Essen. Zuerst vongole und spaghetti, dann köstlichen Fisch aus dem Ofen. Die Kellnerin, die auch die Speisekarte präsentierte, bewies Fachkenntnis und war einfach perfekt. Nur zu empfehlen, Parkplätze vorhanden.

02/04/2024: Very beautiful and suggestive caves located near Duino. We start from the nearby farmhouse of the same name on board a friendly carriage that accompanies us to the entrance of the caves. The guide is very competent and thorough, there are lots of bats that will accompany you throughout the visit.

08/10/2023: Gentilezza e professionalità. Servizio ai tavolo attento Come sempre in cucina preparano piatti di pesce secondo la mostra tradizione triestina/istriana in cui prevale il gusto del pesce e non di intingoli var Location meravigliosa. Tempi d'attesa corretti .
07/10/2023: Ci siamo seduti per un aperitivo al bar. Dopo aver ordinato due calici di vino bianco ( era possibile ordinare al calice solo il vino Friulano, diversamente bisognava acquistare una bottiglia…) abbiamo atteso circa 20 minuti senza che nulla accadesse. Sollecitato il cameriere abbiamo aspettato ancora 5 minuti, dopodiché, avendo visto che una coppia accanto a noi arrivata molto dopo veniva servita, ce ne siamo andati. Evidentemente versare due bicchieri di vino è operazione troppo lunga e complessa. Consiglio di rivedere le modalità organizzative.

17/03/2024: I have been here 4 times to eat meat.
the first 3 times a piece of tomahawk, then I tried the rib-eye.
The first time the tomahawk was perfect, both in terms of cooking as requested and in consistency.
The second time the tomahawk was particularly fatty, while cooking as requested was fine.
The third time the tomahawk was perfect in terms of consistency, while the cooking as requested was not. (since it is served on a marble or granite slab, heated to boiling hot, I "cooked" it as I wanted).
The fourth time I tried the rib, it was fine in terms of cooking and also in terms of consistency, unfortunately I was expecting a tall and more compact rib, while this one was short and wide.
I leave out the fried or pan-fried potatoes which were good.
The service is excellent, the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Between the wine and the beers, I recommend the beers on tap, because the house wine isn't that great.
Since the price per kilo of meat is not cheap, 65 euros per kilo as per the menu, I first expected the staff to show you the piece of meat up close (in many places they bring it to the table for the customer to see) before cooking it, secondly, but not least, the quality of the piece, it is not tolerable that there is almost half the fat in a tomahawk, since here we are talking about 65 euros per kilo.
I preferred to try this place several times rather than immediately discredit it.
I would happily go back but not under these conditions, given that I didn't spend much.
