14/05/2026: A classic place of wonderful consistency. Here, cherished traditions are still preserved with style and a deep love for authenticity. Triestine cuisine is celebrated in this restaurant. Jota, delicate gnocchi, wonderfully creamy fusi with chicken, roast with artichokes, veal shank... ohhh. Excellent wine selection from the region and beyond. Very attentive service and impeccable table manners. Bravo!

11/12/2025: A traditional osteria where you feel at home even if you're a tourist. Exquisite traditional and seafood dishes and welcoming staff. We returned the next day. Good value for money.

13/06/2026: A lovely dinner with a mix of typical food for us couples: fish appetizers and fish soup on one side, the whole cauldron on the other, and everyone was satisfied in the end. We even made peace with the waiters, a hasty and almost irritable welcome (perhaps because of the time, it was after 9 pm), but in the end, we earned a small smile.

07/06/2026: While looking for somewhere to eat in Trieste, we stumbled upon this small restaurant, and just looking at the photos online, we were intrigued by one dish in particular: the goulash. We were so intrigued that we decided to walk about twenty minutes to try it. The place is quite small, and you can immediately sense a familiar, welcoming atmosphere. Although reservations were recommended, we tried anyway and were lucky to get a table. We started with an appetizer to share, which we found very good, and then moved on to the dish that had convinced us to come all the way: the goulash. I must say, it was worth it. Flavorful, tender, and truly delicious, accompanied by an excellent mashed potato that paired perfectly with the dish. It was one of those dishes we'll fondly remember long after we return home. We also tried the gratin stuffed mushrooms, which were very good and well-prepared. Simple yet carefully crafted dishes that convey the feeling of authentic, genuine cuisine. When we're particularly satisfied with a dinner, we usually indulge in dessert, and this time was no exception. The desserts were also excellent and rounded off the evening perfectly. I also really appreciated the atmosphere of the restaurant: simple, authentic, and unpretentious, yet with the care that makes guests feel welcome. A place that left us with very fond memories and that I'd gladly recommend to anyone visiting Trieste. Sometimes it's worth venturing a little further from the more touristy areas to find places like this. If we were to return to the city, we'd definitely stop by again.

03/06/2026: A small place with wooden tables and benches, good draft beer, and excellent traditional Trieste cuisine. We found the prices to be fair for what we ate.

05/07/2026: A great lunch spot for the authentic Trieste meal of boiled pig parts. We chose our own mixed platter, with sides of pickles, mashed potatoes, and fantastic warm sauerkraut. And of course a beer. We sat outside on the patio, and the food came quickly, with friendly service.

27/06/2026: Nice location, food was okay, but nothing more. Prices were rather high.

17/07/2026: Incredible goulash with potato dumplings. Excellent schnitzel, stellar homemade fries. Top service, complete with a traditional culinary guide. Everything was incredibly good!! We'll be back!!!

16/07/2026: We've been to this historic Trieste restaurant a couple of times for dinner. We had excellent goulash with potato gnocchi, a fantastic lubianska, and prosciutto in a bread crust with mustard and horseradish. We highly recommend it.

24/07/2026: The food was quite poor, the price was really high.

22/07/2026: The menu on Maps said they had fried pizza. That was completely wrong. The dishes were overpriced and not very substantial. Since they asked us about drinks first, we ordered beer, but the menu came later, so we didn't leave. 😔 It was incredibly noisy.
