14/05/2026: A classic place of wonderful consistency. Here, cherished traditions are still preserved with style and a deep love for authenticity. Triestine cuisine is celebrated in this restaurant. Jota, delicate gnocchi, wonderfully creamy fusi with chicken, roast with artichokes, veal shank... ohhh. Excellent wine selection from the region and beyond. Very attentive service and impeccable table manners. Bravo!

Exquisite traditional and seafood dishes and welcoming staff.
We returned the next day.
Good value for money.

02/06/2026: Overall, a good experience. It's a historic and quaint restaurant, but I would have expected a reinterpretation of traditional dishes. The classic Trieste-style casserole is fine, but I would have expected more modern combinations. Times change, and customers are more demanding than in the past. So, given the price tag, which isn't as affordable as it used to be, I would have appreciated more variety and more sophisticated pairings, while still sticking to local cuisine.
31/05/2026: A quaint place just steps from Piazza della Borsa. Delicious boiled meats and strudel! Super friendly staff! Highly recommended!

09/04/2026: Visited a few months ago for work and a quick dinner, and on vacation with friends.
A genuine osteria, just the way I like it. The dishes are typical of Trieste's meat (excellent) and fish (perhaps a little less, but still very good). The service is simple and efficient, and the atmosphere is reminiscent of a traditional trattoria.

18/04/2026: I found a very shy and composed English-speaking guy at the entrance. He invited us in, but everything seemed dull, and above all, there was no one sitting. I think they've changed management. 🥲 We went elsewhere.

03/05/2026: We chose this restaurant because buffets are traditional in Trieste. Having been to a few before, this one felt more like a restaurant than a real buffet, perhaps because we went for lunch.
The food was really good; we had potato croquettes with goulash (a portion for two), a roast pork, and a cutlet stuffed with cheese and ham (I don't remember the Triestine name).
The price was average for Trieste.

03/06/2025: Ci siamo fermati a cena una sera in 8 per una cena completa. Malgrado ci fossero molti tavolini liberi ci hanno permesso di sederci solo unendo due minuscoli tavolini… capite che stavamo strettini!!! Il resto tutto buono anche in rapporto al prezzo. Peccato per i modi veramente pessimi del personale

19/04/2025: Ottimo ristorante,giusto prezzo, Staff gentile. Siamo stati due sere di seguito. Ottima sia la carne che i Sardoni. Specialità triestine.
