Outstanding. A truly real trattoria, while all places are getting "touristized", places like this one keep a local atmosphere, and of course just local cooking. Grazie.

If you want to eat the best roe deer goulash and the best apple strudel in the city, this ancient trattoria is for you. Even though we arrived after 9.30pm, the owner welcomed us with sincere friendliness and each dish was prepared with great skill and love. Definitely one of those places not to be missed if you are in Trieste.

I've been working in Trieste for ten years and yesterday I went there for the first time... the only regret? Not going in there before! They are good and friendly and, above all, it is the place in Trieste where I ate best! Excellent ingredients and good presentation of the dishes. Now that I've discovered it, I'll be back often.

Buona qualità delle pietanze ma porzioni troppo piccole a prezzi troppo alti. Ci sono molti altri buffet dove si mangia altrettanto bene a prezzi più contenuti, e si esce più sazi.

Trattoria che propone piatti tipici triestini fatti bene e qualche proposta di cucina italiana comunque buona. Buono anche il rapporto qualità prezzo. Migliorabili il vino della casa e i dolci. Rapido e gentile il servizio.

Bella trattoria con piatti della tradizione,servizio accogliente. Cercavo il gulash e l'ho trovato,sia come secondo piatto che, come condimento per gnocchi. Qualità ..ma un po' piccole le porzioni.

07/04/2024: We came to a lively inn for lunch. A lot of waiters and cooks were employed, so we were served quickly. When I asked if it was cooked with meat, I was assured that it was not. As soon as the waiter brought the food, a piece of meat floated inside. They apologized and did not charge for these meals, but still left a bad aftertaste. She wouldn't come back because they were cheating.
03/04/2024: If you want to eat good Trieste boiled meat you can't miss coming here! In the center of Trieste you can eat inside or at outdoor tables. Very fast service and quality meat. Courteous and accommodating staff. Very good price. Highly recommended

06/04/2024: We stopped on Easter Monday and tried some Trieste specialities, cooked ham and kren with mustard, excellent meatballs, with ham and vegetables, we tried tripe and Vicenza-style cod... nothing to say, the only precisely the gnocchi with goulash which had a sauce that was too liquid.... still a recommended place!
