Everything was perfect, especially the waiter Amedeo, who made our lunch special with such kindness and thoughtfulness (even towards our little girl, to whom he gave a drawing and a chocolate!) See you soon!

4.4 stars??? Let's make it 4.5. The food is delicious I had three meatballs and the most famous pork dish. I absolutely loved the food and the workers were incredibly kind to me. I would recommend anybody who is in Trieste to come here. I had a great time.

Definitely a place to try typical Trieste cuisine. I had the bread gnocchi with goulash, which were actually more like canederli (dumplings) but still very good. The only flaw was the somewhat inattentive service from the waiters, who forgot one of the diners' dishes and had to be called back twice before finally bringing it to the table. There was also another small mix-up with a Spritz that was supposed to be grapefruit, and it was brought plain. Aside from these service inconveniences, the food was good and the waiters were friendly; we had a good time.

An excellent buffet where you can enjoy Trieste specialties, dishes made "as they once were" with care and passion. The beer is excellent.

17/07/2026: Incredible goulash with potato dumplings. Excellent schnitzel, stellar homemade fries. Top service, complete with a traditional culinary guide. Everything was incredibly good!! We'll be back!!!
16/07/2026: We've been to this historic Trieste restaurant a couple of times for dinner. We had excellent goulash with potato gnocchi, a fantastic lubianska, and prosciutto in a bread crust with mustard and horseradish. We highly recommend it.

Buffet da Pepi

05/07/2026: A great lunch spot for the authentic Trieste meal of boiled pig parts. We chose our own mixed platter, with sides of pickles, mashed potatoes, and fantastic warm sauerkraut. And of course a beer. We sat outside on the patio, and the food came quickly, with friendly service.
27/06/2026: Nice location, food was okay, but nothing more. Prices were rather high.
