21/07/2026: We loved our experience at San Martino 26. The setting is small and intimate, service is impeccable and location allows you to watch the world go by while enjoying your meal. We ordered from the à la carte menu and asked for a wine pairing suggestion which was fantastic. The wine accounted for half of the total bill. I had the risotto and catch of the day. My partner ordered the filled parpadelle and sucking pig. The only thing missing was crackling with the suckling pig. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a Michelin star quality meal in a relaxed setting.

16/07/2026: A truly positive experience, the food was excellent and refined. I drank an excellent Vernaccia Riserva, which, even if it wasn't excellent, was nonetheless excellent thanks to the explanation, storytelling, and expertise of the waiter. It's truly beautiful. It's rare to find places in tourist cities where the staff are knowledgeable and don't try to rip off tourists, especially considering the same treatment for foreign guests. Compliments, highly recommended, even for the price.

03/07/2026: Great private chef experience with Saverio. We were a group of 16 - cooking for a party that size every night was quite a task so it was great to be able to book Saverio to look after us for dinner one evening. Terrific food and lots of choice. We enjoyed it so much we booked him again for another dinner during our stay. He is a super friendly guy, great communication and really helpful. We would thoroughly recommend him. Thanks so much Saverio!

13/08/2026: The real Tuscany in the heart of San Gimignano ❤️🍷 During our stay in San Gimignano, we had the pleasure of dining at La Mangiatoia, and we can say it was one of the most beautiful gastronomic experiences of our trip. The restaurant is truly distinctive: warm, intimate, and atmospheric, perfectly nestled in the charm of San Gimignano's historic center. A setting that immediately immerses you in the spirit of Tuscany. But the best part comes at the table. The cuisine won us over with authentic flavors, quality ingredients, and traditional Tuscan dishes prepared with great care. Everything we tasted was truly excellent, from the starters to the main courses, right down to the desserts. A cuisine that doesn't need any special effects: raw ingredients, tradition, and top-quality ingredients. This is precisely what we appreciated most. The service also deserves special mention: the staff are kind, helpful, and professional, but above all, they create a pleasant atmosphere that allows you to enjoy dinner without rushing and enjoying the pleasure of being at the table. La Mangiatoia is one of those restaurants that, upon leaving, makes you think, "We ate really well here." If you're passing through San Gimignano and looking for a place to savor authentic Tuscan cuisine in a characteristic and welcoming atmosphere, this is definitely a place to remember. We left completely satisfied and would gladly return. Highly recommended!

15/08/2026: The food looks good, but it's clearly overheated and partly overcooked. The staff is distracted, disinterested, and slow. Lots of mosquitoes and no air...never again.
