07/01/2025: Nestled in the medieval village of Monticchiello, near Pienza and the Sienese Val d'Orcia, the Daria restaurant immediately puts the guest at ease. Pleasant temperature, light background music and a smile as soon as you enter the room. The selection is quite challenging because each dish gives the impression of being very tasty and it is exactly like that! From the appetizer to the dessert everything is excellent and well looked after and the desire to return is the predominant feeling. Wide choice of wines and surprise, to accompany the dessert, a liqueur wine with sour cherries which, despite being an alcoholic syrup, is not cloying but rather invites you to drink more.

15/12/2024: Wonderful experience. The first with white ragù and unique truffle. I'm not ashamed to say it, I made two rounds of the same dish, I could taste the flavor of every ingredient and truffle, to say the least, sublime. Excellent quality! We are not talking about the usual commercial dishes. PS: don't miss the terrine with grilled pecorino cheese, lard and truffle, as well as the black liver croutons. Courteous but at the same time very familiar service; the very nice owner. Highly recommended! Preferable to book

01/01/2025: My wife and I went here yesterday for New Year's Eve dinner. Warm and welcoming environment, attentive, polite and attentive service. Exquisite dishes. Nothing better to start the new year.

28/11/2024: Estaba bastante tranquilo en Pienza cuando visitamos, fuimos los primeros en cenar en este restaurante en una pequeña y encantadora plaza. Era un cálido día de otoño, así que comimos al aire libre. Lo más destacado de la comida fueron los ñoquis, tan suaves, y en una salsa cremosa con un toque de limón, estaban tan buenos que pedimos una segunda porción. El vino tinto local Nobile de Montepulciano también fue excelente.

25/12/2024: Christmas lunch in this place. Tasting bruschetta with cinta lardo🤩, homemade pici, pecorino cooked with truffle, all accompanied by a noble red wine from Montepulciano. To finish cantucci with vin santo and creme brulee. Please don't miss the opportunity to eat in this place!!!!

23/12/2024: We went to this wonderful restaurant for lunch during a trip to Pienza. As soon as we entered to book, the owner welcomed us with a wonderful fireplace behind her. Impeccable service, delicious and plentiful cuisine. Highly recommended also for the price/quality ratio!

20/10/2024: Disfrutamos de una cena maravillosa en La Fonte. Este Agriturismo rústico ofrece una carta variada y excelente carta de vinos. Todavía soñamos con los dos platos antipasti que pedimos, una cebolla de temporada y un plato regional de carne y queso. El servicio fue agradable y tranquilo. Una de nuestras mejores cenas de nuestro viaje y su border collie incluso nos guió de vuelta a nuestro coche después de la cena. Muy recomendable!

05/10/2024: Este era por mucho mi lugar favorito y me alegro de que pasamos 3 días aquí, desearíamos tener más tiempo Toda la familia era tan hospitalaria y siempre se aseguró de que las cosas fueran sin problemas. Los jardines eran preciosos con flores y lugares para sentarse y admirar la vista. La paz y tranquilidad de este lugar era justo lo que necesitábamos después del ajetreo de Roma. Nos encantaron los perros de granja que eran tan cariñosos. Y me encantaba tirar el palo para los perros. El desayuno era una deliciosa pasta para untar con algo para todos. Estaban dispuestos a hacerte huevos si lo deseaban. Comimos en el restaurante para la cena, que yo recomendaría encarecidamente hacer reservas. Todavía estoy ansioso y pensando en las alcachofas rellenas. La tarta de tiramisú fue increíble. Nuestra habitación era sencilla y encantadora, tenía todo lo necesario y la cocina estaba bien equipada. La vista que miraba por la ventana era sin aliento. La ubicación era genial, a unos 10 minutos a pienza, cerca de las otras 2 ciudades montalcino y monte pulciano. Pienza era nuestro favorito y tenía un montón de grandes queserías. El queso es el mejor que he probado en Pienza. Si quieres cenar en Pienza, haz reservas. Sin duda nos alojaríamos aquí de nuevo.

06/01/2025: Great atmosphere and wide options of local Tuscany food and wines. Several components are prepared locally like breads and sauces. I have asked to substitute a meat hamburger for local pecorino cheese, to have a vegetarian hamburger, and they served me the bread with melted cheese.

03/01/2025: New Year's Eve buffet lunch (or brunch, as it is nice to say now) in the all-you-can-eat option. Good choice, good quantity, few desserts and not very fresh, but it can be accommodated given the period. To try again in "embers on" mode....
