15/06/2026: This was the most delicious meal I’ve had since coming to Italy. At 72 euros for 1.2 kilograms of steak, I think it’s great value for money, even considering prices in Korea. That’s because it was so delicious and the quality was excellent. It’s not the kind of taste that gets cloying! It is truly one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. And the pasta was also the best fit for Korean palates, haha.
The staff kept checking to see if the food was okay, and before grilling, they even brought out the meat to show us which cut they were going to use! I feel great that we had such a pleasant experience on our honeymoon! If I come to Pienza again, I will definitely come back here!!!!!

13/08/2026: In Val d'Orcia, there are dozens and dozens of characteristic restaurants, and unfortunately, if you're choosing based solely on reviews, this one isn't one of them. The location is rather anonymous, and the menu is the same as in any tourist restaurant... decent dishes, very good service.
11/08/2026: We chose this restaurant based on numerous positive reviews and the menu published by the establishment itself two months ago, which listed four first courses (pici all'aglione, pici al ragù val d'Orcia, vegetarian ravioli, and tagliolini al tartufo).
When we arrived, we were in for an unpleasant surprise!
The menu had been halved to just two first courses: pici al sugo e stracciatella and trofie al pesto (and two second courses). This happens in the height of summer, mid-August.
So, in addition to the limited options, all the typical dishes one would expect from a restaurant of this kind in a small village in the Val d'Orcia were removed.
We were left with a bitter taste in our mouths, especially since the dishes we ordered were truly delicious, the ingredients were top-quality, and the waiters were attentive and kind.

04/08/2026: I can only tell you that we spent a week eating here. The atmosphere is small but intimate, the dishes are few but truly delicious. I highly recommend them, especially if you want to try "uncontaminated" cuisine. It's become a "must" when we're in the area! Congratulations, always.

14/08/2026: Good, average food. The service could use some serious work, unable to manage a large dining room; it was too messy. The waiters couldn't recognize the tables. Between sharing an appetizer and the first courses (which were identical, by the way), we had to wait over an hour without any explanation. The location is unimpressive, with a stunning view of the entire Pienza valley. It's a shame, because for the location, it could be much better.
14/08/2026: The food is quite good, but unfortunately the service is terrible.
The waiters don't know which dishes to deliver to the various tables, the bottles of wine were opened and immediately served without even the usual tasting, as is customary, and over an hour passed between the appetizer and the main course. The place has a stunning view, but unfortunately the service is inefficient and takes a long time, so much so that those from the "second round" were starting to arrive but couldn't sit down because those from the "main course" hadn't been served yet, and the waiters were in a panic and kept rushing. Furthermore, it's quite overpriced, and despite the waitress knowing about the wait, an appetizer (€20), two first courses (€25 each), two waters (€4 each), and two glasses of wine (€7 each) came to €105 without even a small discount to apologize. Plus, everyone had complaints. The service needs to be reorganized and reassessed.

12/05/2026: Food is ok but very overpriced - especially for a roadhouse. Sorry. They have a lot of attitude. We had one contorno, (SMALL plate of cheese and cured meat) 2 glasses of house-red wine and 2 espressos - E60+. You're paying for atmosphere.
06/05/2026: A restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. Beautiful garden. Very attentive and helpful staff. The food is top-quality and very good. The beef tartare with mustard is AMAZING!!! It's our favorite place every time we pass by.

05/08/2025: Pochi piatti ma molto ben cucinati, atmosfera familiare e un oste che ti fa sentire a tuo agio. Prezzi alti ma in linea con lo standard di Pienza: molto gradito il liquore finale…. ci facciamo uno Spinello? 😁 Ci tornerei anche domani!
31/07/2025: Ambiente gradevole e personale molto gentile menù molto limitato e prezzi esosi. Pici all'aglione buoni ma non abbondanti e un prezzo elevato (18 euro). Una lattina di Coca Cola 5 euro, un bicchiere di vino della casa 8 euro.
Non lo consiglio nè ci tornerei.

Really, really bad pizza. Not even sure if you can call it a pizza when it was essentially a large cracker with a few toppings (none of which were any sort of sauce). I don’t mean to sound mean but this was certainly the worst pizza I’ve had in Italy, but honestly the worst i’ve had in quite a long time.

15/07/2025: Vi fik anbefalet Pienza som udflugtmål. Vi kørte dertil og vi blev ikke skuffet. Super smuk og hyggelig sted og sikke en udsigt. Vi fandt denne lille restaurant og vi blev enig om at her skulle frokosten indtages, der var skygge. Vi valgte to forskellige traditionelle retter, begge vældig gode og velsmagende. Vi valgte en flaske hvidvin til, der var et godt udvalg af vine. Tjeneren denne eftermiddag var meget kompetent og tilstede.
12/07/2025: Abbiamo cenato qui due sere e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Dagli antipasti ai pici. Tutto squisito. Staff molto gentile e disponibile.

20/05/2025: In visita culturale a Pienza con Gruppo il Lions Club Soncino, abbiamo prenotato per tempo per 28 persone, ci è stata allestita una sala praticamente solo per noi, siamo stati accolti con il sorriso da parte di tutto il personale, simpaticissimi ed efficienti - predisposta tavolata a ferro di cavallo molto conviviale.
Il Menù è stato concordato per un pranzo Light, in realtà pur avendo optato per una solo portata di carne "Tagliata di manzo ai 4 pepi con verdure grigliate" che ci è stata servita in dosi abbondanti con più passaggi, personalizzandola alle richieste di chi desiderava la stessa con o senza il pepe, chi l'ha preferita ben cotta piuttosto che al sangue.... insomma non ci sono stati problemi, sono stati carinissimi ed hanno esaudito tutte le richieste.
Si è proseguito con il dolce Crostata con marmellata fatta in casa, davvero buona.
Nota bene avevamo nel gruppo degli intolleranti ad alcuni alimenti ed una celiaca ed ed andato tutto bene senza alcun disturbo alimentare nei giorni a seguire.
Tutti soddisfatti , consigliamo vivamente il Ristorante La piazzetta.

Il luogo é stupendo, vista incantevole così come il tramonto . Il cibo ottimo ed il prezzo interessante.
La mise en place raffinata e se si ha freddo viene offerta una coperta .
Lo consiglio vivamente .
