05/04/2024: The restaurant is okay, the food is good but not great. The waiters are ok, but you can see that they are busy and don't have time to be nice 😉 The prices are quite high, but that's probably the domain of the restaurant in the port, a bit further, dinner for two people was almost €20 cheaper.

01/04/2024: The service really bothered me. Waiters unfriendly, didn’t feel welcome. Food was good, too oily.

25/10/2023: How nice to think back to a place that made us feel good. Returning to Favignana after a few years, I regretted not having discovered it sooner! A small delicatessen restaurant with a few seats, open kitchen and family-run where you can feel at home. We had lunch and dinner with excellent dishes at a good price, and we had the opportunity to chat with the chef father and his children. Super recommended especially for lunch when the pace is more relaxed. We were happy that we weren't in a hurry and that we stopped for a while like we do as friends. Until next time! 07/04/2024: We passed by the restaurant about 17:00 and found the place and the menu to be very attractive, so we booked right there for dinner. We were absolutely disappointed! The only good thing was the wine (Carricante eruzione 1614, 28) As antipasti we ordered the burrata and the Tris di mare. What can I say, you can go to any supermarket in the country and get a better burrata, put it on a plate and bam! You have a better dish. This burrata (9) was bad, as it had been previously frozen and lost all flavor and creamy texture. The tris di mare (15) was an extremely poor mix of two fried prawns, two dubious skewers, and a tiny tiny fried fish. You get better on the street for less than half of the price. As main, we ordered a tagliata (15) and busiate with artichokes and Bottarga (15). The tagliata was alright, but overcooked and dressed with a balsamic thick sauce that nothing has to do with meat… On the other hand, the busiate were a huge disappointment. Bottarga is precious product and supposed to be very tasteful. Well, I could not taste it, as all I tasted was something that seemed to be cream with cheap cheese and lots of salt (if I had bought a ready to eat sauce in the supermarket it would have tasted better). The pasta was overcooked and the artichoke in the dish was only the leftovers, the hard to eat leaves. I would recommend to anyone not to waste money here.

27/10/2023: Best hospitality we had in San Vito Lo Capo. The food was nice. The owner were very kind and the place is cute.

20/10/2023: Absolutely delicious, highly recommend!! We had the grilled fish of the day and the Trapanese Busiate pasta along with complimentary Bruschetta - perfect service too and friendly staff, we had a great time and meal here. We cycled here from San Vito centre for 10 minutes - absolutely worth it, or walk for 30 minutes. Grazie! :)

21/10/2023: L’osteria del sotto sale si conferma un locale con una gran cucina. Eravamo già stati da loro in passato e tuttora si conferma qualità eccellente ed ottimo servizio.

10/10/2023: Locale perfetto per una cena dove il pesce resta protagonista anche nei piatti più elaborati. Il sapore del pesce fresco non viene infatti mai coperto dal contorno di preparazione. Personale gentile e design dei tavoli ben curato. Atmosfera ideale per coppie o piccoli gruppi

17/02/2024: I was in Erice, my brother-in-law had recommended this restaurant to me as he had gone there last year. I have I ate everything at the Fish Base and it was all delicious and above all fresh, I recommend it. And we didn't wait long even though the place was full.

24/10/2023: Sono stata in questo meraviglioso ristorante a Favignana con la mia famiglia per due sere su sei. Entrambi le volte è stata un’esperienza fantastica! Cibo eccellente di primissima qualità, presentato e cucinato divinamente! I proprietari sono stati gentilissimi e prodighi nello spiegare i piatti e la filosofia del loro ristorante. Stra consigliatissimo!! Alla prossima estate!

14/05/2024: We were recommended the trattoria by our house people and looked for a long time on our first visit. Above all, it should be said that the trattoria's website directs you to a completely wrong address and it was only when we entered the address from the business card directly that we were correct. The entrance is hidden in the entrance to the house next to the butcher shop. But it was worth looking for. We've been there three times in the past few days and each time the food was excellent. It's tasty, we like to eat something with fish and both the cozze as a starter, the pasta with mussels or with fish, the octopus on mashed potatoes or the fish whole. Everything was very tasty. Great with herbs and vegetables. Mom and the cook do an excellent job. The fact that no English is spoken is wrong. The boss speaks English at least well enough to explain to us what the recommendation of the day is. We are very excited and have three more days to stay here. That means we will definitely eat there again.

17/03/2024: We stopped here by accident - in a restaurant that was open at the beginning of the season. The food turned out to be great - fresh fish and seafood, perfectly prepared, served quickly. The service was very nice and helpful. Apparently from here there is a perfect view of the sun setting over the sea - we arrived when it was already dark, but still - a great experience!
