16/02/2025: During a Sunday walk out of town with friends, we came for lunch at this restaurant and were welcomed with warmth and friendliness by Mr. Pippo, his son Fabrizio and the dining room staff. The environment is very welcoming, we had lunch in front of the beautiful fireplace and the dishes we tasted were unexpected, genuine and very tasty. All courses were excellent and the pasta with nettles and the lemon frost with strawberry jam are highly recommended. Without a doubt it is a place to which we will return to spend another pleasant Sunday in this delightful village rich in history and architecture.

12/01/2025: It's always a pleasure to meet up to eat at La Carruba! Excellent cuisine with typical Nebrodi dishes, expertly prepared, pleasant environment, quality, passion and kindness. The quality/price ratio is unmatched in the area. I would go there every day! I highly recommend it!

19/01/2025: Il locale, comodo da raggiungere anche in auto, ha un’atmosfera raccolta e familiare. Pochi tavoli in legno, circondati da bottiglie. I proprietari si sono mostrati accoglienti e cordiali. Oltre all’ampia scelta di vini, viene proposta una cucina “sincera” e con materie prime di qualità. Qualche (perdonabile) leggero squilibrio nelle preparazioni più complesse. Siamo stati bene.

I had a great time thanks to the friendly staff. All of the food was delicious so it's hard to recommend it. There is no failure if you eat anything.

04/01/2025: Eccellente dal servizio impeccabile ai loro piatti molto curati. Proprio per quanto detto prima, per me non è una trattoria ma un Ristorante! Innanzitutto il proprietario è stato Gentilissimo, e non ha esitato un attimo, nel riportare indietro un piatto eseguito benissimo, ma per mio gusto personale non gradito, malgrado potevo essere più attento durante l'ordinazione del piatto e richiedere maggiori informazioni, visto i miei gusti personali. Ho avuto il piacere di degustare: -Insalata di carciofi marinati con gamberi; -Pasta con nero di seppie; chi era con me ha mangiato anche gli involtini di pesce spada, che sono stati graditissimi. Prezzo giusto.

27/12/2024: Nothing to complain about, everything perfect from the varied cold and hot starter to the trio of very good first courses including gnocchi, risotto and homemade macaroni, the second course of adequate and fresh fish to finish with a lemon sorbet and typical local sweets accompanied by the house liqueurs . The only flaw, some misunderstandings with the otherwise excellent service.

18/01/2025: High prices, high quality. This is how I would summarize the culinary experience in this well-known fish restaurant. Nice internal place that has that sweet retro taste. Very generous dishes, a portion of first course was enough to satiate an average glutton. Pasta with the Z***** (cicada in Italian) at €120 per kg for the crustacean, risotto alla pescatora at €20. Amazing fresh tuna with sweet onion. You pay for quality but it's worth it. The designated waiter was impeccable in his service, kind, prompt and never intrusive. He also offered a mini appetizer and, after a very salty bill, a dessert. An unnecessary gesture but of great courtesy.
