17/03/2025: Terrible food and service. After 3 days in Rome, 7 of us ate here for €280. In addition to being expensive, there was terrible service where they brought us some dishes first and others half an hour later. The food was pathetic, nothing was good, the pasta could have been saved a little and still not. It's a tourist catcher.
12/01/2025: We ate for lunch today, a place located in the center of Rome, a stone's throw from the Tiber, there were 8 of us, we had 7 plates of pasta and a pizza then we were still hungry and ordered 3 more pizzas.
The pasta dishes were very good, I found the pizzas decent, perhaps a little too burnt, the employee outside the restaurant did a lot to convince us to stop, 7/10 if I had to give a rating

08/02/2025: Mi spiace scrivere recensioni negative, perché comprendo che dietro ci sono persone che lavorano, però ritengo debbano spingere i titolari della attività a mettersi in discussione e rivedere le cose che proprio non funzionano.
Niente della storica trattoria Romana di un tempo. Primo Romano con pasta ritengo precotta, in quanto praticamente di gomma, e in secondo altrettanto mediocre.
Ad oggi ideale per turisti e stranieri.
05/01/2025: Una serata terribile , pessimo locale appena arrivati già vediamo un locale non pulito ed eravamo titubanti, tovaglia sporca, tovaglioli incrostati , chiesto al cameriere per 2 volte il cambio tovaglioli , chiediamo carciofi alla romana pessimi , cacio e pepe pasta scondita con pepe, immangiabile lasciata tutta , carbonara pasta completamente scondita non sapeva di niente sembrava pasta in bianco con 2 pezzetti di guanciale crudo questa non è cucina romana ma straniera sembra di mangiare spaghetti alla carbonara in America tutto dire 🤮 abbacchio al sangue e puzzava di pesce forse cotto sulla stessa griglia , la cucina romana non è questa …

14/03/2025: We visited this restaurant as a large group, hoping to enjoy some authentic Roman pasta. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations. The general consensus among us was that the dishes lacked flavor and were quite bland. Additionally, the service was mediocre at best, contributing to an overall disappointing experience. With flavorless food and somewhat indifferent service, I regretfully cannot recommend this place.

06/03/2025: C'est la 3e fois que j'y allais, sur les conseils d'une collègue Romaine. Les plats sont délicieux, parfois inédits et les prix très raisonnables rapportés à la qualité, et dans un quartier sympa (très proche piazza del poppolo). Je recommande vivement cette bonne adresse !

Friday night restaurant empty with 3 tables
Pizza with salami dramatic, an old salami that smelled of old...
Margherita terrible, you can tell they are low quality products
French fries two portions with 15-20 fries counted!
Not to mention the service... waitress who brings one beer at a time one dish at a time very careless, place has really fallen low... I feel sorry for the owners and I know there are people working there but this is just not right
Bad bad bad across the board.
13/03/2025: I think I will avoid going back. Digestible pizza dough, slow and careless service, burnt pizzas.

30/01/2025: Ristorante fuori dagli schemi classici. Caratteristico nel suo genere. Al di là della particolarità che lo contraddistingue, sono rimasto molto soddisfatto dai piatti, abbondanti e buoni. Giusto rapporto qualità prezzo.
20/01/2025: di sicuro è un luogo da visitare per immergersi in un vero e proprio mausoleo dedicato all'epoca fascista ed al suo ispiratore e guida. Ogni oggetto, ogni particolare è in sintonia con il tema del locale. Anche il personale ha un abbigliamento a tema cosi come la descrizione del menu.
Il personale è stato molto gentile ed accomodante durante la prenotazione. Anche il personale di sala è alquanto gentile.
Per quanto riguarda il menu e il risultato dei piatti ci sarebbe ancora da lavorare.
l'antipasto ha avuto degli elementi interessanti, mentre i primi piatti di sicuro sono da rivedere e rendere più succulenti ed amalgamati.
Per lo stracotto mi permetto di suggerire un cambio di descrizione. SI tratta di uno spezzatino e non di uno stracotto per il quale ci si aspetta della carne morbida e goduriosa. Questo purtroppo non aveva ne una ne l'altra
CI aspettavamo qualche piatto della tradizione laziale ma purtroppo il menu non presenta nessuna eccezione.
una visita per curiosità ci può stare.

19/03/2025: Restaurante agradable cerca de nuestro hotel. Amadeo nos dio la bienvenida y reservamos una mesa interior para más tarde en la noche. Pedí a Bruschetta que empezara y los dos tuvimos carbonara, toda la comida era muy sabrosa. La jarra de medio litro de vino de la casa estaba bien y a un precio muy razonable. El camarero Francesco que era muy helpul recomendó canoli para el postre y estaba delicioso, y seguido de un excelente expreso. Volvería a llamar aquí otra vez.

14/04/2025: Despite the outdoor terrace with lovely lightings, service and food have been very very basic. And 15mn after order, we've been informed that due to a "problem" at the kitchen, no pasta were possible. Disapointment. Followed by a long service +20mn. Not a great experience.
11/04/2025: This was quite bad. The penne al arabbiata was burned and I couldn't even taste the chili. Could not recommend it to anyone.

19/03/2025: I came to Rome with my family, excited to explore its history, culture, and food. But instead, I got scammed by a sleazy, arrogant manager named Gabe, who claimed to be from Romania. This man shamelessly double-charged me nearly €350, then had the audacity to demand a tip.
He lied straight to my face, saying the meal was for two people, then charged me twice for the exact same food. And when I firmly asked for a small portion of buffalo meat, he pulled a classic manipulative trick—bringing out a huge piece instead, refusing to correct it, and charging me over €100 for it.
This is textbook intimidation and gaslighting—he assumed I wouldn’t push back, that I wouldn’t question him. Well, I am.
I wish I had read the reviews before stepping into this place. This man is a disgrace to Rome—his dishonest tactics make tourists, especially women, feel vulnerable and cheated.
Women travelers, don’t let this guy take advantage of you. Rome is a stunning city, but predators like this prey on visitors who trust too easily.

08/04/2025: Pedimos nuestra comida, tomamos un bocado y fue horrible. Fuimos a devolver la comida y el dueño (grandullón con gafas) apareció gritando. Tratamos de estrecharle la mano, pero en su lugar ESCUPIMOS LA MANO DE MIS COMPAÑEROS.
Nos ofrecimos a pagar por las bebidas, pero ni siquiera lo permitimos y me lo quitó de las manos. ¡Estaba gritando mientras nos alejábamos y estaba en la cara de mis compañeros, muy agresivamente!
Me alegro de que el camarero era muy amable, charlando y pensamos que estábamos en una comida encantadora, cocinada en casa, auténtica, pero de hecho nos encontramos con precios escandalosos, apenas bin digno de comida, y un propietario agresivo feliz de comenzar una pelea! ¡EVITA! SI NO ES POR TUS PAPILAS GUSTATIVAS, ¡POR TU SEGURIDAD!
08/04/2025: El personal comenzó una pelea con nosotros después de que nos quejamos de que la comida era terrible. Y... Quiero decir, más allá de lo terrible.
La peor excusa para un restaurante en Roma. Debería avergonzarse de llamarse italianos produciendo alimentos como los que nos sometieron. Imagina mezclar pollo hervido con pasta sobrecocida y estás en algún lugar cercano a lo que probé, entonces la carbonara quemada de dos días que mi pareja intentó podría darte una propina para tener una palabra sobre solo pagar tus bebidas. Pero ten cuidado. Al desafiar al personal que nos escupieron (sí, en serio, el chef me escupió en la mano! ) y se negaron incluso a permitirnos pagar por las bebidas, como es habitual en prácticamente cualquier otra situación en restaurante. Estas bolsas de escoria están libres de obstáculos y no vale la pena el problema. No se deje engañar por los amables camareros claramente en la estafa y la apariencia hogareña. Evita este lugar. Gente peligrosa y la peor comida que probarás en Italia. Cualquier otro restaurante te servirá mejor! Y hay un montón.
