26/03/2025: Excellent place to taste Modena specialties. Everything is prepared with traditional recipes without reinterpretations that distort the dishes. The tortellini in broth are excellent, the wild boar cacciatore is spectacular We ate à la carte. But I think the tasting menu is worth it. The prices are higher than the average of other places in the surrounding area. But the quality is there. The borlenghi are spectacular. They pass by in the dining room and you have to catch them on the fly or almost. They are continuously sautéed and the guys in the dining room go around the tables non-stop. Excellent desserts. I recommend tiramisu and zuppa inglese

26/03/2025: Welcoming place just a stone's throw from the center, excellent pasta rigorously handmade by them, even the second courses are equally exquisite with Anna's meatballs in my opinion truly exceptional. With a special mention to the restaurant manager, truly an excellent host!

25/03/2025: It's not often that you find a place that makes you feel truly at home, but here it happened. During my long stay in Modena I was lucky enough to dine several times in this splendid trattoria, and each experience was memorable. The cuisine is an authentic homage to the Modena tradition: each dish is prepared with care and passion, and the quality can be perceived in every bite. I particularly appreciated the meats cooked in the wood oven, which release truly unique aromas and flavors. Another special moment was being able to observe the preparation of tortellini up close, made with a mastery that speaks of years of experience and love for cooking. A special thanks goes to the chef, who despite a particularly crowded evening, found the time to exchange a few words with me. A heartfelt thanks to all the staff for their kindness, attention and impeccable welcome. I can't wait to come back!

15/03/2025: So here the review is tough. Let's start with the owner, Mrs. Ada is in all respects the owner of the place.. in every sense. In the tavern there is only her who does everything: cooks and serves at the tables. The place is very small and the atmosphere is very, very homely and informal. At the same time it is also hilarious, based on the old customs of the past, where everyone talks and laughs together, in fact it can happen to know the diners during dinner. Obviously it is Ada who decides what to make you eat, consider the written menus as a beauty or decoration of the place. What is certain is that whatever she will offer you will have been made by her and I assure you that Ada is an excellent cook capable of representing the traditional Emilian cuisine at its best. If this were not enough, the lady shows strong theatrical skills that make her able to entertain the guests with real performances based on joviality and irreverence that, at times, seem to border on rudeness but I assure you that in her heart they never are. So if you know how to take her and if you know how to adapt, laughter is guaranteed, also because she is good at involving all the guests a bit who, by conformity of the place, are never more than fifteen to exaggerate, and finding themselves physically seated close together it happens that they start talking and joking among themselves. Then a lot depends on whether you find her having a good evening or not. Now, having made these necessary premises, there is no point in going if you expect a radical chic, silent and elegant place. The spirit of the place is not this, Ada does not change and will never change. Take it or leave it. Of course, as mentioned above, if Ada is having her day the evening will certainly be unforgettable but, if she is not, well it will still be... unforgettable... the choice is yours.

25/03/2025: FULL HISTORICAL IMMERSION: THE PREMISES OF THE RESTAURANT - OF THE OWNER FAMILY - OF THE PLACES - BUT FIRST OF ALL, OF THE MYTHICAL ENZO. THERE WILL BE RARE REAL LIFE MOMENTS OF THE DRUKE AND THE STABLE EVEN THE FOOD IS INSPIRED BY REMEMBERING WHAT "HE" PREFERRED. ANYWAY EXCELLENT FOOD We have to go there

23/03/2025: Cibo scadente porzioni da bambini. 200 gr di tortellini insapore per 4 persone 8 polpette sempre per 4 persone, asciutte che per ingoiare c'è voluto mezzo litro d'acqua oltretutto presa sotto la fontana. Mezzo litro di vino il proprietario ha avuto il barbaro coraggio fi chiedere 35 euro a testa e oltretutto senza fare nessun tipo di scontrino. Pessimo tutto il resto compreso il servizio. State lontani da questo posto fatiscente e vivrtee 100 anni. Da dimenticare escludendo i nudi vintage come il proprietario esposti nel bagno degli uomini.

19/12/2024: Pranzo aziendale di dicembre . Ottimi i primi . Buoni i vini serviti . Locale curato e pulito . Servizio veloce . Consigliato.

16/12/2024: Cibo ottimo, servizio veloce, personale gentile. Il ristorante si trova adiacente all’omonimo albergo. Le sale sono molto curate e arredate con gusto. Abbiamo preso i tortellini alla zucca ed erano squisiti, il petto di pollo alle verdure era tenerissimo. Ritorneremo sicuramente

21/03/2025: Lo consiglio cibo buonissimo , consiglio le tagliatelle al ragù e i tortellini in brodo … ci torno volentieri…………………..

20/03/2025: Non mi è piaciuto. Ci hanno sistemato in una saletta piccolissima con troppi tavoli, eravamo strettissimi. I tortellini non erano di buona fattura e la crema di parmigiano era grumosa. Filetto all'aceto balsamico deludente. Il servizio è stato veloce e attento. In 40 minuti ce ne siamo andati perché non era per niente rilassante mangiare lì.
