Ate well, stay well. Very nice and easy-going host, one of those with whom you would happily spend an evening but who if you say something he doesn't like will mock you for life. Nice like that, it's part of the game. Authentic Friulian environment.
He offers us a complete tasting menu from appetizer to dessert without giving us too many details on what we would have eaten unless after our explicit and repeated request. No menu is brought and the cost of the "trip" is not mentioned.
In the end: we ate well, we drank well, we felt good but already towards the middle of dinner our bets on the "price of the trip" had started.
When we arrived at the checkout it was 50 euros each (whack), especially because even though we ate well, the portions were decidedly small.
Excellent for company dinners or when the customer (or mum and dad) pays. We will avoid going back out of our own pocket.

Cena natalizia in compagnia di amici, abbiamo avuto una sala tutta nostra con un grande tavolo tondo al centro. Pareti addobbate con foto dei Rhinos, libreria ben fornita e cantina dei vini a vista. Oste perfetto, molto goliardico, ci ha illustrato nei dettagli cibi e vini proposti. Unica pecca (ma non credo sia da poco per un ristorante) le porzioni veramente risicate, dagli antipasti alla portata principale (un piatto con 3 cucchiaiate di riso scarse è anche brutto a vedersi). Risotto un po'sciapo (forse voleva più sale o più mantecatura al formaggio), buono il brasato, da rivedere la polenta accompagnatoria (ne ho mangiate di migliori). Ottimo il tiramisù che ha alzato alla grande il livello e lasciato un buon ricordo. Prezzi non coerenti con la zona in cui ha sede il locale.

Un'osteria d'altri tempi, che quando è piena è bella rumorosa ma ci si sente a casa, con un oste nonché proprietario anche lui d'altri tempi (in senso positivo). Hanno una fantastica selezione di salumi, formaggi, vini e distillati friulani, e secondo me questo è il loro vero punto di forza. Per quanto riguarda i piatti in carta, buonissimo il frico, e fantastico anche il manzo all'olio; non mi hanno entusiasmato molto invece gli gnocchi. I prezzi purtroppo non sono friulani ma milanesi, ma d'altronde ci sta. Torneremo sicuramente per un'altra immersione di Friuli a Milano.
