14/09/2025: Recommended by a local friend, we went to this place, and I must say we left completely satisfied. A historic place in the area, small and welcoming, that has received numerous awards for its tradition. Homemade fileja served with various toppings, all excellent... We tried the zucchini flowers, sausage, and smoked provola, and the beans and mussels... wonderful... Again, on the recommendation of our dear friend, we had the grilled chicken with potatoes... indescribable deliciousness... pure delight... We didn't order an appetizer because given the portions, we wouldn't have been able to taste the chicken, but from what I saw in the dining room, even the full appetizer would have been fully worth it. Next time... Friendly staff, fast service, and reasonable prices... Thanks to Mr. Gianni.

10/09/2025: Neither good nor bad - somewhere in between. Sometimes on a Saturday night you like to be surprised: too bad, everything was discounted... not with the prices, though, which were completely normal.

09/09/2025: A lovely spot in the countryside, with a young, helpful staff. Delicious first courses and traditional Calabrian dishes, though some concerns about the barbecue meat.

15/10/2025: Tucked away in an alleyway, it has a wonderful, atmospheric ambiance and delicious food. Excellent, typical Calabrian cuisine, with plenty of fish dishes. We were all very impressed!

14/10/2025: Service was too slow. Portions of vegetarian meals are too small. It was a 5-course meal dinner, and it took 5 hours to serve these. Though the order was already pre-ordered, still had to wait so long for each course. Ravioli was undercooked and had too much salt. Risotto's rice was undercooked. Lasagna with zucchini and potato, Cabbage/Lettuce with mushroom sauce, cake were okay.

16/09/2025: Excellent! You won't regret going there, because the food is delicious! Lots of Calabrian specialties, from pizzas, to cheeses, to compotes, and desserts! Your taste buds will thank you!!! Very kind staff, make a reservation because it's always busy, noisy place because it's crowded, everyone likes good food, but it's worth it! 🔝

09/10/2025: A very nice restaurant with an outdoor seating area located in an elegant little square. The food and wine selection are decent. The service is fast and professional. The quality/price ratio is average.

06/11/2025: A restaurant with a magnificent view, excellent service, and a €35 set menu featuring Calabrian delicacies that are a true delight. A must-see, and above all, take your time because it's an authentic restaurant with very welcoming staff. Plus, they sell their products at more than reasonable prices; go without hesitation.

05/11/2025: We visited this place while on a motorcycle trip and were greeted by the owner and his son, who made us feel very welcome. Our room was a decent size and tidy. We had dinner at their nice and cozy restaurant, and the homemade food was simply amazing — we will never forget that meal! The food was abundant, and we even had to stop the owner from bringing more. Breakfast was really nice and delicious too. We will definitely visit again. The location is great as it’s set in a very tranquil area, yet not too far from the main road.

19/10/2025: Every time we go down, we come to this restaurant for dinner to sample traditional Calabrian dishes, and every time we've been satisfied. This time, we had the goat stew and the black pig stew. Simply spectacular. Attentive and friendly service, beautiful atmosphere. Congratulations! 😋

19/10/2025: This place was exactly what I was hoping for. The food is cooked in the traditional style of Calabrian cuisine. At first, my husband was skeptical of the place, as it was empty when we got there, but Calabrian people typically have dinner a bit late. The place quickly filled up with locals and many families and groups. I ordered the antipasto and I was so full! I asked if they would bring out a gluten free version of the dish, which they did. The menu itself will help indicate any allergens present in every dish. My husband and I got to ask many questions as he was curious of their home made pasta, which was very unique. He described it as very soft while not falling apart. The chef then came out to chat with us and we got to thank her for the fantastic food. Everyone was so kind and patient with us asking so many questions!

10/10/2025: The restaurant enjoys a beautiful view of Altomonte's historic center and the surrounding landscapes. The cuisine is homemade, made with simple, authentic ingredients that are treated with great care and skill. We started off strong with an aperitif of homemade sauces, crusko peppers, and Sila potato chips. The hot appetizers were plentiful and tasty, as was the juniper-infused leg of mutton stew we ordered for our second course. The quality/price ratio is also excellent. Definitely worth a detour!

09/07/2025: Da anni andiamo a mangiare da Mario e abbiamo portato anche altri oltre ai figli,lo stupore è sempre lo stesso, genuinità dei prodotti profumi che non si sentono quasi più nei cibi e la loro cordialità sono un vero punto di forza,si prenota con grande fatica ma la perseveranza paga sempre. Quest'anno abbiamo portato dei parenti che vivono in Canada, e sono rimasti più che contenti. Grazie a voi e a tutto lo staff del ristorante persino mia nipotina di tre anni si è trovata a suo agio.
