06/09/2025: Excellent traditional Sila food and impeccable service. The mushroom salad and creamed potato soup with 'nduja and caciocavallo are incredible. The traditional Scirubetta dessert, made the old-fashioned way, is out of this world. Definitely worth a try!

Excellent ingredients prepared following tradition but enhancing their flavor, aroma, and substance with originality.

01/02/2026: High-quality, intensely flavorful grilled meat, cooked to perfection on a beautiful open brazier.
The atmosphere is simple yet welcoming. Special mention goes to the mutton, venison ribs, and picanha, all truly excellent.
The side dishes are also delicious, and unique!
Excellent value for money, and the staff is courteous and attentive. 🔥🥩
A wonderful discovery!
24/01/2026: The girls are all very nice, but we waited quite a while for the food to arrive.
The mixed grill was decent, but nothing memorable. The place was simple, but the live music was very pleasant. The price was too high.

Harmony of flavors, harmony of sensations, harmony between the place, the food, and the people who work there, harmony between all this and the land that hosts it.
Any other words, photographs, comments, or descriptions of the dishes are superfluous.
Few places like this in Calabria can make you soar with all five senses.

We had the pleasure of dining at the Abbruzzino restaurant with my entire family, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful welcome we received.
The aperitif, served in the elegant dining room, opened an evening of quality in an elegant and convivial atmosphere. This was followed by a harmonious succession of dishes: from appetizers to two first courses, from main courses to dessert, each course was a discovery of authentic and well-balanced flavors, which perfectly showcased the typical local products.
A special thanks goes to the chef and all the staff for their professionalism, passion, and attention to detail, evident in every detail.
We will gladly return.

17/12/2025: I'm sorry to be negative. I almost never am. I understand the sacrifice of those who work hard to keep a business going, but unfortunately today I have to be. A mixed platter of cured meats and cheeses, a mixed roast platter (5 pork ribs, 2 sausage skewers, 2 meat skewers, a pork shank, and a sliced steak), 5 draft beers, a bottle of water, and a can of Coke. €43 per person! I'm so sorry, but I won't be back again.
16/11/2025: Forced to write a review only on the service because, despite having booked 4 days in advance, there were no more seats, we asked the lady and she told us that she would sort it out in 10 minutes, after waiting 40 minutes and without any of the staff showing up, we decided to leave.

21/08/2025: Excellent cook, amazingly well received, but the portions are decidedly small for the price...7 euros for a caponata with 3 slices of onion and 2 tomatoes is definitely excessive, but where there's taste there's no loss.
07/04/2025: Advertising is like lies, they have short legs... I have to say that I was very disappointed with everything, quality and price. I paid €20 for a house appetizer, but it wasn't even worth €5 in quality and proportion. All recycled stuff, reheated on the spot, and of terrible taste. Not to mention the super salty and raw bread made with pizza dough, so I'll leave you to imagine what the pizza was like. The only thing that was criticized was the name of the dish. If I can give you some advice, change jobs... restaurateurs are born, you can't just invent them on the spot.

09/07/2025: Da anni andiamo a mangiare da Mario e abbiamo portato anche altri oltre ai figli,lo stupore è sempre lo stesso, genuinità dei prodotti profumi che non si sentono quasi più nei cibi e la loro cordialità sono un vero punto di forza,si prenota con grande fatica ma la perseveranza paga sempre. Quest'anno abbiamo portato dei parenti che vivono in Canada, e sono rimasti più che contenti. Grazie a voi e a tutto lo staff del ristorante persino mia nipotina di tre anni si è trovata a suo agio.

02/08/2025: Esperienza deludente carpe diem a Tropea.
Il tavolo assegnato aveva una vista sgradevole sul bagno, lasciato con la porta aperta mostrando costantemente il water. L’attesa per il primo piatto ha superato i 45 minuti, senza spiegazioni convincenti. I piatti deludenti: fritto misto troppo cotto e scarso, spaghetti al riccio di mare privi di ricci e appesantiti dall’olio, spaghetti alle vongole insipidi e con molte conchiglie vuote. Unico punto positivo il vino, ma al momento del riordino ci è stato comunicato che non era più disponibile. Anche il servizio è apparso trascurato, con bicchieri da vino tutti diversi. In sintesi, gravi carenze nella gestione e nella cucina.
26/07/2025: Il ristorante pur essendo in pieno centro si trova in una piazzetta molto tranquilla. Sono stata a Tropea in vacanza per una settimana e sono stata da Carpe Diem due volte. Ho fatto subito presente le mie intolleranze al glutine e al lattosio e ho mangiato una pizza davvero buona. Gabriele molto disponibile e gentile, è stato un piacere scoprire questo posto!

01/05/2025: Di passaggio per andare al mare j. Direzione Paola ci siamo fermati al Carro. Il paesaggio in cui l agriturismo si trova merita molto. Il cibo, casareccio, é ottimo e le portate abbondanti. Personale sorridente e veloce.
