05/01/2026: Excellent dinner, both sushi and cooked food. Very limited seating, so reservations are recommended. They handled my wife's gluten-free diet very well. The owner was incredibly kind and friendly.

02/12/2025: This is a fantastic Chinese restaurant, I'd call it Bologna's No. 1. The cuisine leans towards fusion; the "Ghost Chicken" and "Sad Beef" are inspired by Yunnan cuisine, while the stir-fried beef with scallions seems to be inspired by braised dishes. The Kung Pao Chicken is prepared in a very Beijing style, with a sweet lychee flavor. It's probably the best Kung Pao Chicken I've had in Bologna.

The place is small but cute and welcoming, although the staff seemed a bit cold. Overall, nothing exceptional, but it's still a good option if you're in the area.

04/10/2025: It’s hard to find a good ramen place in Bologna where pasta is the norm, but this is a hidden gem worth trying. I went there at least once a month during my stay in town for 9 months. Nagoya Ramen (€12) is my go-to menu. It’s not like traditional tonkotsu ramen but the ground pork, veggies, and the spicy flavor work great together. Friendly service, but you should ask for a fortune cookie at the cashier because they don’t display it!

13/01/2026: The best Chinese restaurant in the area. I've been coming here for years and the quality is always excellent! They recently renovated the place and did an exceptional job. Kudos to the whole family, who have always been so kind and welcoming. It's a truly wonderful place to stay. 🙏🏻 The meat and shrimp ravioli are amazing, homemade, and always fresh. Superb!

16/12/2025: Mandarino is an institution in Bologna; unlike many other Chinese restaurants, they've been around forever. The menu is classic Chinese, adapted a bit to Western tastes (I've been to China and other Chinese restaurants where their authentic cuisine is completely different), but they still offer excellent quality and impeccable service. I highly recommend the Thai chicken (they also have a few Thai dishes) and the crispy duck. The peanut chicken is also excellent. Average price.

01/01/2026: Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was disappointing in many ways. The service was slow and inattentive: we waited a long time both to order and to receive our food, despite the restaurant not being particularly crowded. The food didn't live up to expectations: the dishes were poorly crafted, with bland flavors and ingredients that didn't seem particularly fresh. Considering the prices, the quality was significantly lower than expected. The atmosphere also didn't help enhance the experience, with a noisy and unwelcoming atmosphere. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant dinner, and I would hardly return or recommend this restaurant to others.

The chef is extremely professional and attentive to the customer, making them feel welcome from the first time they visit. The wait times are short. 17/01/2026: A true Chinese restaurant. I love Sichuan cuisine, the bold flavors, the authentic spiciness, and the tingling, fragrant Sichuan pepper: I've found it all here. The Sichuan green beans are simply delicious, intense, and perfectly balanced. But the real love was with the fire bowl-style calamari tentacles: an extraordinary, deep, spicy dish, one of those you'll never forget. This isn't your typical "Chinese" restaurant: it's real Chinese cuisine, and it's totally fair that the bill is a little higher than at traditional restaurants. Quality and authenticity come at a price, and here they're worth every penny. My photos don't do justice to the excellent flavor of the dishes. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for those who truly love Sichuan cuisine. 🌶️🔥

08/11/2025: I left my heart at this restaurant for the fire bowl with tofu, which was delicious. They have a wide selection of dishes, including many vegetarian ones. Worthy of mention are the BBQ skewers (the cauliflower is delicious!) and the eggplant and cucumber vegetables. Among the first courses, the rice with vegetables is very tasty. The management tells me the meat dishes are also very good. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is elegant and charming. Recommended!!

05/01/2026: I would give the service 0 40 minutes for a plate of rice noodles with shrimp and vegetables, plus 15 minutes at the cashier because they had to serve, lunch break done quickly risking gorging myself! TERRIBLE

25/11/2025: Very friendly, the menu was varied, and the food was excellent. I only missed one thing: the red wine on tap. Unfortunately, the benches aren't very comfortable and they're too far from the tables. But that's just to find something wrong with a magnifying glass, because it was actually an exceptional lunch.
