14/08/2024: Stunning place, on the highest point of the island, you can see the castle and all the islands and hinterland around. Abundant portions of excellent quality, extremely kind staff, possibility to rest on sunbeds in the shade, panoramic walk. Open all the time so even after the kitchen closes you can have a coffee or a dessert while lounging on the sun loungers. Highly recommended!

07/08/2024: The highest restaurant on the island. Wonderful views of the different areas of the island. Food is a little more expensive but absolutely okay.

18/08/2024: Excellent food, lovely place, even if a little difficult to reach, very friendly staff, fast service. Don't miss the house appetizer, the rabbit served in the crock and the pasta seasoned with its sauce. Not a cheap bill but commensurate with the quality.

17/08/2024: After a sunset over Mount Epomeo, we went back down to this restaurant with its superb wooden terrace with a view and which notably offers the specialty of Ischia: rabbit! The place was magnificent, the service very friendly and the food: delicious! Special mention for the bugatini with rabbit sauce which were exquisite!!! Very happy with this timeless moment!

09/08/2024: The Tavern is truly a Tavern! Old, outdated, not air conditioned, with modest service and almost annoyed by the multiple presence. There's an atmosphere of "eat quickly and go away"! Bucatini al dente but certainly not with the flavor of rabbit sauce. Well cooked rabbit, well cooked, but bland. Eggplant parmigiana...offensive to call it that...Methanol red wine. Fair price. I wouldn't go back.

Questa la mia recensione: “ Il visitatore che varca la soglia della tenuta si addentra in atmosfere di antichi sapori e tradizioni. L’esperienza che si vive presso la Cantina Raustella non è solo degustatitva ma multisensoriale: musica di sottofondo, luci e colori, narrazione di storie e di ricordi in un luogo senza tempo e che nell’oggi riesce a fondere il passato con il futuro assaporando il presente. 15/08/2024: I risked a sandwich with broccoli, aubergine parmigiana, truffle sauce and a rare beef burger! (A questionable mix, I realize😂) Instead, I was surprised by the triumph of such distinct flavors. A wonderful sandwich. The best I've ever eaten in my life! I will definitely be back!

02/08/2024: We went a few days ago for dinner. Stunning location although very difficult to locate from the street (we had to ask locals) with a view of the Aragonese Castle. Normal dishes but not particularly interesting, they are not worth the cost (around €20+), you mainly pay for the location. Service not up to expectations and location. We were disappointed.

24/07/2024: In love with the views, the delicious food and the welcoming and familiar attention I received. My favorite restaurant in Ischia now. You'll love it. I ate the rabbit and the pasta cooked in the 'coniglio alla cacciatora' juice itself, very typical of this area. My curiosity led me to ask them about the recipe and they were so kind to explain it and even have great detail with me. I had an unbeatable experience and I am looking forward to eating there again when I return to Ischia. 10/10!

13/08/2024: Crazy location, indescribable sunset. Too bad the service, little attention. We didn't like the food, the starter is not a real starter but a mini platter. The first courses were inedible, raw and hard pasta as well as arriving cold and soaked in oil. We only liked the french fries made by them. Price a little above average but not excessively. To be improved. With a location like this you could do much more.

14/07/2024: Può capitare di scegliere questo ristorante per la location meravigliosa, che si affaccia proprio sopra il porto di S. Angelo. Ma sarà il cibo a far ritornare. Piatti tradizionali si affiancano a rivisitazioni davvero bene riuscite, come l'indimenticabile Gambero di Mazzara la cui polpa viene servita su una base di ricottina profumata alla menta, con un risultato sublime per il palato. La squisita cortesia del servizio (diversamente da altri posti che ho frequentato a Ischia) è il tocco finale per rendere assolutamente meravigliosa l'esperienza della cena. Prezzi leggermente superiori ai ristoranti dei dintorni, ma alla fine il conto si paga volentieri. Consigliato!

Upon arrival at the hotel we received a detailed explanation of what to do on the island. Very warm welcome, we felt very welcome. We had a room with a sea view, just beautiful. The hotel has a breathtaking view, that's why we booked it. We had booked a room with half board. I just want to warn everyone. Do not take a room with half board. Because guess what. If you take half board, which of course you also pay for, you are not allowed to sit on the terrace outside with a breathtaking view. Specially booked this hotel to have dinner with such a view, and then you have to sit inside in a courtyard without a view. Terrace is apparently for customers of the a la carte restaurant. If we had known that 🤔 There are people sitting there eating, each with 1 pizza, which is not expensive, and 1 drink. While we ordered an aperitif, wine, water, .... We did not think this was possible and therefore did not accept it. Staff was unfriendly because we gave our opinion. Not nice when you are traveling to be confronted with this. For the rest, nothing from this hotel but good. Rooms clean, fresh towels every time. Breakfast also okay, just basic. Friendly boss, who regularly chats with you. The island of Ischia is beautiful, but I fear that, like many islands in Italy, it will become super touristy and will attract crowds of people. Positano and Amalfi, mass tourism. Lots of Americans 🫣
