03/12/2024: A beautiful, family owned and operated trattoria using locally grown ingredients. You can really taste the difference. We ordered the bruschetta, spaghetti epomeo, bucatini al sugo di coniglio (rabbit), patate fritte, and cake for dessert. Everything was phenomenal and priced very reasonably. A must-visit in Ischia.

26/10/2024: Going to the same place 3 evenings out of 7 is indicative: outside (but 10 minutes away) from the most crowded tourist resorts on the coast, here you can breathe mountain air both in the location and in the food: the stuffed courgette flowers, the fettuccine and the rabbit 'Ischia will remain in my memories; genuine and friendly local staff. Obviously highly recommended

Mancavo da un pò, posto sempre favoloso.
Accoglienza, Pulizia, Cibo ti fanno passare un paio d'ore a casa tua.
La cucina è ottima.
Tutto lo staff è favoloso e in sintonia, ti fanno sentire a casa.
Locale pulitissimo.
Per come si mangia, il conto finale è a dir poco nulla.
Tutto fresco e fatto in casa.
Digestivi della casa sempre offerti.
Siete speciali.

12/11/2024: Great place to spend an after dinner. I went there with friends and the very friendly staff showed us the special cocktail menu inspired by Mixed by Erry: a splendid gem! It's fun to be able to choose your drink (very good by the way!!) on cassette tapes. Congratulations for the idea!
24/10/2024: Faultless service, chilled vibes and great views as the sun set across the harbour.
In our view, the best spot on the harbour to grab a drink, snacks or something more substantial.

18/11/2024: This was the highlight of our whole trip to Ischia. Francesco makes you feel like family, sharing all about the history of this magical place. We felt so lucky to be there, the food and drinks were amazing and the scenery was something out of a dream. If you’re in Ischia don’t pass up the chance to visit, it will be your favorite too. I can’t wait to go back!!

Francesco è cordiale, cortese, molto paziente, ha dedicato del tempo anche a scattarci delle splendide foto ricordo attento che venissero bene e infatti abbiamo delle foto splendide.
Abbiamo cenato, la location unica, cena ottima con coniglio all'ischitana, abbiamo trovato il prezzo adeguato per la location e quanto veniva offerto.
Esperienza indimenticabile che porto davvero nel cuore. Un ringraziamento anche al papà di Francesco, anche lui generoso e disponibile.

09/10/2024: Coinciding with the arrival of relatives from NYC we organized a lunch at the 'Sole Nascente' restaurant in Ciglio in Ischia. We spent a fantastic day: excellent food from typical Ischia cuisine with 0 km products, lots of appetizers, pappardelle with superior quality rabbit sauce and Peppino's barbecue with sausage, beef and chicken, all with great flavour. All accompanied by a house red wine. We had a great time and the Americans were pleased with the local cuisine and the stupendous view, over Sant'Angelo and Panza, which can be enjoyed from the terraces of the restaurant. Thanks to Filomena and Andrea who pampered us at the table. A round of applause to Raffaella, the owner of the property, who did her best as a hostess.

23/10/2024: Como solo había unos pocos clientes a finales de septiembre el menú era limitado, pero había pagado 10 euros para nadar aquí. La pasta y el medio ambiente estaban bien, pero no pagaría precios de temporada alta para nadar en aguas tan oscuras, aunque transparentes.
30/09/2024: Walked about 20-30 minutes to the location only to find the staff eating lunch at 1:30PM and mockingly booted as out. Their sign says they open 9-6:30pm. Huge waste of time. At least keep your info up to date.

20/09/2024: Il ristorante è situato in un punto molto panoramico e per raggiungerlo occorre fare una bella salita, ma tutto sommato si è ben ricompensati. Il personale è accogliente, i piatti ben cucinati: ottimo il sauté alle vongole, altrettanto gli spaghetti con taralli e vongole - condimenti strepitosi, ben volentieri abbiamo inzuppato il pane! -, peccato però che in molte vongole si sentisse ....la sabbia!, ciò che non dovrebbe accadere, tanto più in un locale con (giuste) pretese di eccellenza. Buonissimo e scenografico il babà. Prezzi non modici ma meritati.
13/08/2024: Excellente table avec vue sur mer (pensez à réserver une table en terrasse!). Les portions ne sont pas copieuses-c’est le seul bémol- mais tout est délicieux: j’ai pris un carpaccio de crevettes en entrée puis du lapin, puisque c’est la spécialité d’Ischia, et enfin un cake délicieux en dessert, le tout arrosé d’un Aperol spritz. Mon compagnon a pris du thon en plat et m’a dit que c’était délicieux, idem pour son dessert « vachement bon » au fondant de chocolat. La serveuse lui a conseillé un vin blanc local qu’il a trouvé bon et original bien que très fruité. Très bonne adresse. Nous en avons eu pour 119€ à deux.

02/11/2024: The location is exceptional, a visit at dusk gives an exceptional emotional and visual experience, the venue is equipped with covered spaces and a large covered panoramic terrace, the venue has maintained an 80s\90s appearance unchanged (more 80s than 90s ) typical of Ischia clubs, the toilets in line with the venue but clean and equipped with everything necessary.
The restaurant is strictly family-run, and it is precisely on this characteristic that the culinary offer is based, which is imbued with the passion of those who bring a dish to the table as if they were introducing you to a child, an appetizer of home-grown vegetables in oil own (and you can see the authenticity of the product) excellent, ziti with rabbit sauce broken up by hand (and this is another accent of goodness that invites us to reflect on what the vision of the concept of homemade is) cooked al dente exceptional, a perfectly cooked rabbit (not "pulled" until it is dry and black) with juicy and firm meat, fresh chips cut into thin slices, nice and crispy and dry.
A steak with irons was also ordered, good and prepared according to the request.
Excellent house white wine, we didn't taste desserts but we drank a digestive at the bar downstairs with a splendid view.
Ultimately it is a place with an adequate offering of typical local cuisine that reflects a family Sunday on the island of Ischia, healthy food and fresh air.
The price indicated in the review is the one on the menu but a small discount was spontaneously applied so we spent €40.00 per person instead of €47.00, in any case an adequate cost considering the quality/price ratio and the current period economic.

04/09/2024: At lunchtime we take a siesta with Peppino in the shade of the large trees. Crickets chirp and the boss brings an espresso on a small tray across the street. This is followed by an Insalata Caprese and Bruschetta. Paradise is in Fontana.
03/09/2024: A poor square invaded by tables to allow the restaurant to be able to cater. In the evening they only make pizzas and a few other things... The pizza was so-so. Nothing special, apart from the cool relief from the summer heat. Prices in line with what you will eat.

Cibo delizioso, curato e fresco ….forse….unica pecca…almeno nel nostro caso le porzioni un po’ risicate.

24/09/2024: Parole chiave? Infinite...! gusto, delizia, sapori, qualità, colori, qualità. Complimenti!!! Sempre una certezza, era da tanto che non rimanevo così catturata da colori e sapori nei piatti. Non vale la pena andare lontani, quando il meglio è così vicino!!
