02/11/2025: We reserved a table for two on The Fork and it was definitely worth it. We got 20% off the bill. The owner was very friendly and he gave us little fried pizzas and fish appetisers while we waited for our food. The appetizer we actually ordered with the 5 types of fish was delicious. And the grilled swordfish fillet was the best I’ve ever had. The seafood pasta was also amazing. I would greatly recommend this place for the food, but the atmosphere was also very pleasant. My only criticism would be the coperto being €4.50, but I understand it’s a restaurant on the port of Ischia and that’s just how it is here. Overall great experience.

02/11/2025: Excellent service, fast, very polite (something strange on the island, it must be said that you are a positive rarity in this regard) but the food disappointed me as did another restaurant on the right bank (Emilio I think it's called, it's a pizzeria)... The mushrooms were fresh both in the risotto and in the tagliatelle and we ate, but too much too much oil (which in the risotto then you don't want... you need butter damn it!) so much oil and of the almost transparent kind, so I think it was pomace not pure olive oil... the meat appetizer then the cured meats were wafer-sized, the bread was stale and the fresh sauce for the child in my opinion was made with peeled tomatoes.

23/08/2025: Not very serious, incapable even of organizing sessions for Napoli matches. We called and asked to leave our number in case someone canceled, but the waiter was annoyed to write it down and hung up.

14/08/2025: Stopped here quickly before our ferry back to naples. It wasn't busy, we were seated right away. Friendly and welcoming. Plenty to choose from on the menu! The wait was a little longer than expected for food to arrive, but it was delicious!

03/11/2025: I stayed near Ischia Porto in an Airbnb in October, and we didn't have breakfast. It was a pleasure to discover this place, especially since we don't like the traditional croissant and coffee breakfast. The options are excellent, including international options, including avocado toast, such as croque monsieur. The freshly squeezed juice is also excellent, perfect for starting the day or for brunch. I'd love to have something like this near my house. Cool place and great atmosphere.

10/09/2025: Very good drinks and cocktails. They give you three types of snacks and even a small wrap as you sip on drinks. The waiter was very attentive and made sure we had a great experience. Would recommend. Prices were reasonable!

06/10/2025: Every year when we come to Ischia for spa treatments, this pastry shop is our go-to place for excellent coffee and, above all, pastries (sfogliatelle ricce e frolle, babà, pastiere, nubilette, and, in short, all of them) of excellent quality, made with first-class ingredients, combined with kindness and courtesy in a small but very welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

27/08/2025: We ate very well, both for lunch and dinner, at this lovely, traditional restaurant beneath the Aragonese Castle. It was like having your feet in the water... For lunch, I had the fried paranza verace, one of the best I've ever eaten. For dinner, the seafood linguine: excellent, flavorful, rich... Just what I was looking for. Highly recommended.

13/01/2026: A terrible experience for a true Ischia native. I wanted to treat myself to a treat at this bar, which had a very attractive window display (and remains the only one there to this day). Before sitting down, I ordered at the counter an "Ischian croissant," which, for those who don't know, is filled with cream and black cherry—NOT EMPTY—and then filled with pistachio, with a good espresso and milk. The waiter arrives and asks for my order, and I confirm the one they had already left at the counter for me (an Ischian croissant to be filled). The waiter returns and asks for confirmation, and for the third time I emphasize that I want an "Ischian croissant" filled with pistachio. The waiter returns and leaves an empty pistachio-filled croissant on the table, to which I ask if it was the Ischian one, and he says, "We misunderstood." He leaves a lukewarm cappuccino full of foam on the table (the exact opposite of what I had ordered). He brings back the croissant and tells me it will take an additional 5 minutes to serve what I asked for. Meanwhile, the two people I was with finished their breakfast. After 5 minutes, he returns with the same croissant, filled with cream again. Something abominable that I couldn't finish. I point this out to the waiter toward the end, not having found the black cherry, and looking at me, he says, "We could have changed this too." I tell him that this isn't the way to work and that they didn't serve me what I asked for three times, and he huffs and puffs, taking the bill without even thanking me or apologizing. So, dear Ischian shopkeepers: don't complain if people don't come back, seeing as you charge dearly for services you don't even know how to offer or manage. You don't know how to work; I will never return to this bar, which unfortunately continues to operate only because of its strategic location. The window display is very attractive, but the quality and service are different. Poor tourists, the standards on the island have truly fallen dramatically. What a shame! A very bad experience for someone who is local. I ordered a hot caffè latte, served almost cold, and a "cornetto ischitano" which I religiously explained the way I wanted 3x times, filled with pistachio cream, and I had something different, that they tried to refill and rearrange with extra cream after 15minutes waiting time. I made sure the waiter knew about what they did, and told them I was served what I didn't order. The guy looked at me saying it could have been changed AGAIN. Puzzled I was then overcharged, the service and the waiter's attitude received was TERRIBLE. As local, born on the island, I would not recommend this bar to anyone. It's pricey and service is POOR. Please ensure you walk away as it's not worth the visit, beside the windows display which SEEMS to be very tempting. 0 stars ⭐

06/01/2026: I was there a few days ago. The menu is extensive and varied with reasonable prices. We had the Margherita pizza, and I have to say, it was really good.

03/01/2026: Three generations of goodness and authenticity! At Umberto's, you can breathe in the history of Ischia. It's rare to find a place that has maintained such high standards for three generations, overcoming every challenge with the power of goodness. The cuisine is a journey through the flavors of the sea and land, using excellent ingredients. The pizza is unmissable, carefully prepared in front of the wood-burning fireplace, just like in times past. Beyond the delicious food and fair prices, what stands out is the warmth of the expert staff. Getting there is easy thanks to the large nearby parking lot. If you're looking for a place that captures the soul of the island, you must try it at least once. Lastly, as I'm a fan of traditional places, it's no coincidence that it's among the top 10% of establishments on TripAdvisor. Highly recommended!

16/11/2025: Beyond the route to get to the place, which we found thanks to the navigator, otherwise we would have had to leave... not easy to access, narrow for those arriving by car... oh well, first obstacle overcome! We manage to reach the tavern and here everything is fine, a nice little place, modest but welcoming with a nice fireplace (occupied there in front by a single table) which practically took away the joy of a faint warmth when dining in such a humid place, in practice they were the only ones warm, obviously being in buried stone at a certain point the customers begin to get cold, for an appetizer with 2 bruschetta requested in a certain way and arrived in another, aside from the inconvenience, from 8.45pm to 10pm only a mignon crocche and a very thin slice of bread, mignon, with mignon cherry tomatoes.. for all of this more than an hour.. meanwhile the wine was running low.. without bread at the table, without a good reason to justify all that time given that we were 12 people at the tables! Despite this... we wait with the knowledge that the evening will go like this... (badly) at around 11:00 pm the first courses arrive... bucatini with (rabbit sauce) or in our opinion, with the oily smell of rabbit. Because there wasn't even the smell of rabbit there, pasta too undercooked for us, but this is subjective, insipid and flavorless. Let's move on to the other first course... scialiatielli with pumpkin, sausage and speck. The waiter didn't specify that the pumpkin was from Mantua, but anyway: the pasta was stuck together, just glue, not bound by a creamy sauce... but dry and flavourless... except for the mini sausage inside... that was tasty, but not good, the dish was disappointing, here too only the smell of the pumpkin... Let's move on to the second course: half and I repeat half a mini rabbit (booked by phone in the afternoon). Meanwhile, it's 11:45 pm... we try these 4 bones... among other things, the liver is missing, and we decide to stay there... because it didn't even have a name from Ischia and I specify that my wife, not eating it, something really wasn't right. The side dishes ordered arrive: courgettes, aubergines, pumpkin and a sautéed mushroom sauce (15 euros!)... but they aren't the ones we asked for... since we get some hard fennel that we didn't like... we ask the Waiter, and he, in a daze, tells us that he had specified that there were no zucchini and eggplant because they were not in season, (which was not true) and immediately denied by my wife since it was her request accepted... moral? We stay (most of the things). We ask for the bill! And it arrives after another 10 minutes, at our leisure... because everything there is slow. It is brought in a chest with a little note inside 😱 what could it say? Verbatim: Since you didn't like anything, we'll offer you dinner (but please don't come back!!). From there, we ask to speak to the owner, the chef, whoever... it's not normal to attack customers like this... just because the food and service were mediocre, if not poor. If you're not humble enough to accept criticism from people like you who do this job, then it means it's not for you... as evidenced by your lack of passion for doing things. We almost got kicked, with one of the employees intimidatingly asking us to leave... and despite all this, they didn't want the money... yet they accepted the €100 without even having eaten dinner! We went hoping for a pleasant experience, enticed by the super-positive reviews and photos on TripAdvisor... which in our opinion are untrue. We invite you to go so that everyone can have their own experience and draw their own conclusions, which in our opinion are unfavorable. Many greetings and a never again to CHEF SARA

21/06/2025: We dropped in on our visit to Ischia, the staff were so lovely and accommodating. We got some ice-cream, drinks, post cards and magnets. Everything was very reasonably priced and delicious.

02/09/2025: Ordered pizza for delivery... as a restaurant owner and a customer, I can say you have a long way to go. Terrible dough, cooked at too high a temperature because it was burnt on the top and raw on the inside, tomato sauce that needs reworking... it bothers me because pizza is one of the easiest things to make... to get it like this, you have to do it on purpose... never again.

03/01/2026: A historic and excellent spot in Ischia. I recommend everyone stop by for one of their excellent Ischian croissants filled with cream and black cherry. Free parking for customers, and a beautiful and well-kept outdoor garden.

01/11/2025: Food is amazing, the service great and the location is amazing. The views are amazing and as a tourist the service was very friendly and informative of the ingredients. The food makes you run back to the island for more.

31/10/2025: Nice beach bar near the water. Just a coffee and a water, very cheap at €2.20. Pleasant seating, lovely view.

16/12/2025: People go there to celebrate, have fun with karaoke and spend time together. The food isn't special, nor is the wine... but these aren't the main attractions for those who frequent this place...

13/12/2025: Nice bar and restaurant in a good location, close to the highway exit. Ample parking in front. It offers delicious dishes and top-notch salads. Friendly and attentive staff. I've been here several times for business lunches. Large, bright, and welcoming spaces. Perfect for aperitifs or a relaxing time with friends. Highly recommended!!!
