05/01/2025: Unfortunately it is not possible to give a rating more negative than one star, but the quality of the service offered is offensive to catering in general.
Two sandwiches that should have had salami, provola, tomato and salad inside, actually arrived practically empty. About 20 centimeters long, they were stuffed with 4 very thin slices of salami, 2 very thin (almost invisible) slices of provola, 2 pieces (not even leaves) of lettuce and a wedge of tomato. Presented on a plate with a tuft of salad alongside and two Coca Cola drinks... I paid a total of 38 euros. I am well aware of being in Capri: here it is not a question of price, but a question of honesty towards the customer. After paying, I said the exact same things to the people at the checkout, who listened to me without saying a word.
Ah, we even waited half an hour!!

22/05/2025: We sat at a table by the sea and were told that those were only for lunch, we just wanted something refreshing. We were given a table in the last row, the tablecloth was dirty, we refused, we were seated in the penultimate row. For an aperol and a lemonade we paid 25 euros. Cash only, no receipt! I hope the financial guard reads these comments. The lunch tables were not busy, probably the customers read the reviews...to avoid!

29/05/2025: Me sorprendió! Positivamente. Quizás es que tenía las expectativas bajas, ya que vi la calificación de 2.3 hasta después de ordenar. Ya estando aquí, pues pensamos, ya ni modo, al menos estamos cerca del puerto. Pero nos fue muy bien. El servicio muy bien, los alimentos bien, los tiempos bien, las cantidades bien. Lo único es que si es un poco caro, por eso la calificación de 4
27/05/2025: Las porciones de calamar eran pequeñas y los spritz eran buenos pero en el lado más fuerte. Al pagar, el camarero me hizo sentir muy incómodo después de negarme a dar propina, seguía preguntando “¿por qué no dar propina? ¿El servicio era malo?” Y pasiva agresivamente dijo “lo intentaremos mejor la próxima vez”. Para un lugar que ya es caro, intimidar a los clientes para obtener propinas es salvaje, especialmente cuando la propina no es común en Italia. Muy decepcionante.

25/04/2025: Locale carino e servizio cortese. Purtroppo il cocktail che ho assaggiato non è stato assolutamente all’altezza dei 24 € spesi… presentazione gradevole ma nulla più. Quantità modesta, ingredienti e miscelazione inadeguati. Esperienza da evitare.
22/04/2025: Este fue el primer lugar al que llegamos una vez saliendo del funicular y nos apetecía sentarnos con una copa de vino. Pedimos 2 vinos blancos de la casa que eran potables y venían con algunos cacahuetes, etc. Fue una hora agradable sentado a la sombra viendo pasar el mundo. El lugar atrae claramente a los turistas desprevenidos como cuando llegó la factura, el costo del vino bastante ordinario estaba fuera de la escala y tres veces lo que estábamos pagando por vino decente en Nápoles. Entiendo que Capri tiene una audiencia cautiva así que puede cobrar una prima. También vivimos en una isla, así que apreciamos las complejidades del transporte de alimentos y vinos desde el continente, pero los precios hacen de este un lugar para caminar! En el puerto se sentó en una posición privilegiada, el vino era mejor y la mitad del precio!

18/07/2024: If I could give 0 stars I would gladly give them! Thank the tourists and the people who land on your island because it was for us Italians you are terrible! Very hot, sultry day, my wife and I ask to eat a French fry and a Neapolitan fried dish! We were told NO! At first I thought I had understood wrong and I ask him eh? And he NO! If you want to sit down you also have to drink (which is obvious as we would have also had a drink) but now never so indignant by this man of a certain age that I go away even saying words to him! IN ALL OF THIS THE THING THAT SORRY ME THE MOST WAS THAT HE SAW THAT WE HAD A 1 YEAR OLD GIRL IN A STROLLER AND FACED WITH SOMETHING LIKE THIS, COURTISM SHOULD BE PASSED ON TO A CHILD! SO SHAME ON YOU, YOU ARE BAD AND THANK THE FOREIGN TOURISTS WHO ARE STANDING OTHERWISE YOU HAD ALREADY PULLED DOWN THE SHUTTER!
While THE OTHER LOCAL LOCALS VERY FRIENDLY, WELCOMING AND UNDERSTANDING!

11/07/2024: Very bad service. The guy who served us forced my friend to order a drink. He was also very mean to a lady who sat next to us and said that he thought that she would refuse to pay. NOT A GOOD PLACE TO EAT.

22/09/2024: Se Aurora , richiamando i valori mitologici della classicità , e’ la dea che preannuncia con le sue dita “rosee” la potenza radiante della luce del Sole , coniugando aromi floreali e cromatismi solari , le portate serviteci dallo storico ristorante caprese ,gestito dalla famiglia D’ Alessio attualmente rappresentata dalla patron Mia D’Alessio e dallo chef Franco Aversa , ci hanno deliziato in un crescendo di gusti : una nuvola per consistenza la leggerezza della croccantezza della pizza all’acqua, firma gastronomica del locale , gustata nella variante con burrata e fiori di zucca , un acquarello il carpaccio di pezzogna , alla vista una trasparente filigrana del prodotto ittico , esaltato al palato da semi di papavero e pinoli tostati , delicatissimo il tagliolino all’astice con la julienne di peperonicini verdi , materie prime di qualità e ottime anche le verdure servite come crudités o in tiepida tempura , la pasticceria di livello : il gelato alla mandorla dai sentori siciliani , generosamente brulicante di mandorle , il tortino caldo alle mele accompagnato da gelato vanigliato e crumble le nostre scelte , ma il percorso di dolcezza e’ stato aperto da un bignè al caffè e concluso da una graffetta napoletana e da una ciotolina di caldarroste di benvenuto alla stagione autunnale decollata … il “carro del gusto “della dea Aurora , scortato dall’intero staff attentissimo nei dettagli , ci ha deliziato nel corso della serata , resa festante grazie alla coincidenza di compleanni tra i clienti che hanno coinvolto nelle danze i presenti in un’atmosfera di completa accoglienza non solo nella dimensione gastronomica

25/03/2025: We had lunch here in Sept 2022. I’m mostly writing a review on behalf of my husband who ordered Pizza Caprese. I’m his words, “I have never had a pizza like this. This is the best pizza I’ve ever had. I cannot get that pizza out of my head. I would go back to Capris just for that Pizza.”
Being used to seeing below average tourist spots in New York City, we were biased that this restaurant would have mediocre overprice tourist food. To our surprise, the food was amazing. I had risotto which was fantastic but the Pizza Caprese was the winner: fresh dough, mozzarella, and tomato. Simple Beauty.

05/11/2023: Day visit to Capri, in the middle of a rainstorm, no umbrella. Gave up trying to kill time so arrived at restaurant bit earlier than opening. Staff could not have been more helpful, towels to dry off etc. Finally got settled and food, wine and service all exceptional. In particular, the risotto - best ever anywhere.
Would love to revisit and try the dinner service.
03/11/2023: A hidden of the main path of this lovely little town is this place. Does not look like a lot, but is superb. Especially this little beautiful garden patio in the back. Excellent salads, pasta and pizza! Really among the best we had. More than worth it to walk a few more steps!!
