Atteso circa 40 minuti con prenotazione già alle 22.30 senza alcun motivo valido.
Il tavolo poi è stato condiviso con un altra coppia… abbiamo condiviso anche la pessima esperienza.
Ordinato 2 primi; spaghetti di Gragnano alle vongole 35 euro e il pezzo forte spaghetto ai gamberi e limone 45 euro.
Il primo scotto, il secondo freddo quasi gelato. Chiesto il conto e fuggiti via. Neppure una parola, una scusa o un gesto del personale nonostante l’aver fatto presente al cameriere i problemi con i piatti. Non andateci.

13/11/2024: Very authentic local restaurant. You can reach by taking the free boat from marina. The food quality and taste is superb. Try the eggplant pasta and the fish of the day. The local house wine is great.

The worst thing is that they make you have lunch there if you want to access the island by private boat, since on the other hand you have to pay 150 euros, but we didn't even order one dish per person and it was the biggest screw-up they've ever done to us! Better not go if you don't want to pay more than 60 euros per person!

Incredibly beautiful view of the small port.
My family and I only ordered coffees and desserts. Everything tasted delicious. The service was very nice.

20/10/2024: Ambience good, with outside seating and good view of the harbor and the sea. Warmly furnished in Mediterranean style. Nice dishes and table cloths with cloth napkins.
Caesar’s salad was uninspiring and pizza not that great either. Prices for salad and pizza average but there is a cover charge of €3 per person.
19/10/2024: Nice venue and ambiance, efficient and polite staff, but the food isn't as good as they advertise it. Quality doesn't match the prices, 16€ for a normal ham and mushroom pizza which was frankly passable at best, and the "homemade" pasta were clearly just run of the mill normal packaged pasta. The vongole sauce was good and the pasta were properly Al dente, unfortunately that's all. Portions could definitely be larger, and an effort could be made in the kitchen.
It was an attractive place to sit down and take a break on a rainy day, but I would not recommend it.

25/11/2024: Después de llevar el funicular a la cima de Capri parecía lógico mirar un poco alrededor. Mi esposa todavía sintiendo un poco de vértigo rogó y fue a tomar asiento en la Piazzetta di Capri mientras Bob y yo fuimos a admirar la vista y tomar algunas fotos desde el Telescopio Funicolare la plataforma de observación en la parte superior de la estación.
Aquí terminó siendo voluntario para tomar fotos de casi todos los demás turistas allí arriba y en un momento terminó con varios teléfonos colgados del cuello mientras posaba turistas. Eventualmente la horda nos dejó y deambulamos dentro. Una vez que encontramos a mi esposa de nuevo, Bob sugirió tomar un café y acordamos.
No estoy seguro de por qué, probablemente porque tenía una mesa libre, estaba a la sombra y todavía tenía una bonita vista para admirar mientras disfrutamos de nuestras bebidas. Elena, mi esposa se quedó con agua, Bob tomó un par de cafés expresos y yo al estar al tanto de la cultura italiana del café fui con un americano ya que era demasiado tarde para un capuchino.
El servicio fue rápido, especialmente teniendo en cuenta lo concurrido y ocupado que estaba el lugar, la vista era espectacular, y el café golpeó el lugar. Un buen descanso antes de desafiar el funicular para el viaje de vuelta hacia abajo.
23/11/2024: I was a little worried about the Google ratings. Finally, I give a rating of 5 out of 5 for the dedication as well as the quality of service and value for money. The location is excellent and I have no negative comments to make. Enjoy 🍷😊

16/11/2024: The atmosphere was a bit '80s, but I must say that the welcome from the two guys in the room was splendid.
Only 2 stars for the food because the caprese starter was quite poor. You can do better with the portions, come on. I usually leave a tip, so I didn't like the 12% mandatory service charge on the bill, it's not good in my opinion.
05/11/2024: My wife and I had a great time, friendly staff. The owner was warm and friendly and there was great music playing in the background every time we went. Great food and good prices. It's our point of reference. We will return again.!

02/12/2024: Thanks to my work as a photographer, I had the privilege of getting to know this corner of paradise that is La Canzone del Mare in Capri. Situated in a breathtaking location, with a view of the Faraglioni, this restaurant is undoubtedly a pearl of the coast. The landscape is an emotion in itself, but what makes the experience even more special is the unique atmosphere that you breathe, accompanied by impeccable service and a staff that is always attentive and professional. It is the ideal place for a romantic dinner or to celebrate important moments, such as a wedding. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to live an exclusive experience in Capri.
22/11/2024: The views here are very pretty, but certainly don't make up for the lack of service and the prices. There is a 7 Euro cover to get into the restuarant, which we were not aware of, and the food was not nearly good enough for the prices they are charging. I don't normally leave bad reviews, but I felt I needed to on this occasion. We also received extremely slow service even for Italy. There were several times where our waiter completely forgot to bring us items that we asked for. We ended up leaving pretty unhappy with our experience.

03/01/2025: Capri in inverno e' magica ma meglio non avere voglia di un caffè ! Due caffè e brioscina vuota 14 euro. Mah. Locale sporco . Comprendo che vogliono fare cassa ma se non per necessità meglio non entrare, c'è limite a tutto e considerare i clienti come polli non paga. Meglio il supermercato di fronte . Ovviamente senza scontrino

25/11/2024: Después de nuestro recorrido marítimo por Capri, era hora de almorzar. Él representante de la gira nos dejó a nuestra suerte mientras ella se llevaba a algunos de los otros a visitar alguna otra parte de la isla y comenzamos a buscar un lugar para comer.
No faltan restaurantes y cafeterías en la ciudad de Capri, especialmente a lo largo de la Piazza Angelo Ferraro, frente al puerto. Los tres, mi esposa y yo y nuestro nuevo compañero de viaje Bob de Vancouver comenzamos a revisarlos.
No estoy muy seguro de por qué terminamos eligiendo Caffe Augusto en lugar de cualquiera de sus vecinos. Para ser honesto, todos parecían similares, lugares pequeños con grandes patios cubiertos superpuestos. La mayoría si no, todos tenían menús multicolores y multilingües que se muestran de manera prominente para nuestra lectura con tarifas y precios más o menos similares.
Nos sentamos rápidamente en el patio. Era un buen día soleado de octubre, perfecto para cenar al aire libre y pedir bebidas. Creo que Bob tomó un poco del vino local mientras mi esposa y yo nos conformábamos con agua. Ella no es muy bebedora y yo estaba luchando un poco de un resfriado en la cabeza y no cien por cien. Meterse bajo un paraguas y salir de la mente del sol parecía ayudar.
A pesar de algunas buenas opciones, pedí solo una ensalada verde grande, ya que nuevamente mi apetito no era demasiado bueno en ese momento. No estoy seguro de lo que Bob ordenó; creo que fue pasta. Mi esposa fue por un plato de pasta de mariscos y señaló que estaba muy feliz de que los ingredientes parecían muy frescos. También podría decir eso de las verduras variadas en mi ensalada, y bastante crujiente también. En mi estado actual estaban más que llenos.
El servicio fue bastante rápido teniendo en cuenta lo lleno que estaba el lugar y la factura, aunque un poco alta era de esperar en el medio de un lugar turístico importante como Capri. Rechazamos el desierto y el café cuando decidimos agarrarlos en otro lugar.
Antes de irnos hice un viaje rápido dentro del lugar para usar sus baños y me impresionó lo limpio que estaban tanto el comedor interior como las instalaciones. En general, un almuerzo agradable en un lugar agradable con gran compañía. Lo único que lamento es que mi enfermedad temporal no me permitió disfrutarla más.

Quite expensive food for what they offer....
27/09/2024: Food and views were ok, but the service and fees for everything are not worth it. We had already rented chairs on the beach then had “cover charge” to go into the restaurant to eat lunch. The entire visit felt like they were trying to find ways to take advantage of tourists.
Also a LOT of stairs to get down and then back up. Not worth the visit.
