16/08/2026: Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. There were two of us, and we ordered a cuoppo and two sandwiches. The cuoppo was inedible for us; the octopus, in particular, was so rubbery that we decided not to eat it. We didn't mention the problem to the staff because there were other people waiting to be seated. The two sandwiches were overall acceptable, but the swordfish inside was cold and the rest of the toppings were rather sparse. Furthermore, the ingredients seemed poorly blended, as if each element was unique, lacking any real balance in the final result. A positive note, however, goes to the service: while not top-notch, we noticed and appreciated the staff's commitment and helpfulness.

22/04/2026: I celebrated my daughter's 7th birthday at Il Borgo sul Lago and it was a truly wonderful experience! 🌿🎉 The location is surrounded by greenery, an enchanting place where children can have fun in complete tranquility and safety. The atmosphere is relaxing and refined, perfect for a party dedicated entirely to children. The staff was simply fantastic: attentive, thoughtful, and super organized, managing everything perfectly and making every child feel special. The food was excellent and designed just for them, simple yet delicious, and was enjoyed by everyone without exception. The organization was impeccable from start to finish: games, perfect timing, and so much fun. My daughter had a blast, and I felt at home. It couldn't have been a better result! We recommend Il Borgo sul Lago to anyone looking for a place surrounded by nature to organize truly unforgettable children's parties. 💚 Thank you so much, guys!

23/08/2026: Aside from the chairs going downhill, where you might fall backwards if you move a bit, they made me pasta with cuttlefish ink without cuttlefish or cuttlefish sauce; they basically used packaged black pasta. Well done, foreign tourists might fall for it, but not Italians, who know their dishes. Then they charged me 22 euros—in short, a scam...

09/08/2026: Arrogance reigns supreme! There's no point even writing a detailed review, as the people who run this place aren't capable of taking criticism, even though they could perhaps improve. They only respond like total rude people, thus losing even loyal customers. But they don't care, and therefore it will surely matter even less to the customers who, looking up, will notice the nearby beaches that deserve a thousand times more for their kindness, professionalism, honesty, quality, cleanliness, and wait times.

18/07/2026: A typical Italian bar, but the arancini didn't quite convince me. Certainly better than in a touristy spot.

17/09/2025: Someone seemed annoyed that guests arrived at around 2:30 p.m. even though three tables were still occupied. When we brought our food it was already clear that we were not welcome. The food was carelessly prepared; the bruschetta at the next table looked completely different. Spaghetti with mussels, four of which were not cooked. When we paid, they were also annoyed that we had to pay with a card. No thank you, no goodbye, and so on. The worst experience I've had in two weeks in Italy. So I have to add a comment five hours later. It's 8 p.m. and my wife is feeling very bad. She keeps throwing up. I hope she didn't catch anything from the mussels.

30/09/2025: As a location, it's not bad: you're right by the sea, and there are games for children. As for the food, the pizzas are good, but the first courses, at least in our case, were disappointing. The service is slow, but the staff is friendly. I recommend it for pizza, especially on Saturdays, as there's often a wonderful singing voice.

06/09/2025: We came straight from the airport here when we were on our way. We chose this restaurant based on the reviews. A little disappointing, Mega slow service, everything took an hour to get the food and an extra 30 minutes each time to get the bill and other things. Didn't get the pizza even though there was a large selection of different ones on the list. They only make them in the evening. Not going to continue.

04/09/2025: It's home! A beautiful property where peace and relaxation reign supreme. Large, spacious, and spotlessly clean rooms. The staff is friendly and always ready to meet your every need. A special thanks to Katia and the entire staff. They made us feel right at home. Everything was beautiful, I highly recommend it, and we'll see you soon!

22/07/2026: It's a very expensive place! Small plates costing only €9.50! There are no prices next to the dishes, otherwise no one would eat here. Even the products displayed on the shelves don't have a price tag! We certainly won't be back here again to get ripped off. We ordered two starters, a side dish, and a bottle of water and paid €45! Shameful.

14/08/2026: Clean beach, water is crystal clear, gets deep fast. Facilities are clean, staff is friendly. Came at 11 and found parking no problem but they say you should come early. The umbrella and chairs you should reserve ahead of time.

05/08/2026: I dined here with my family and, overall, it was a positive experience. The location is stunning, with a truly breathtaking view. The menu offers a wide selection, and the excellent quality of the ingredients is immediately apparent. I ordered the marinated salmon, which was truly excellent, and for my first course, the fileja pasta with scampi and burrata, which was also very good. If I could make a personal suggestion, I think a paccheri pasta with this sauce would enhance the dish even more. The only real flaw was the service, which, along with the food, is one of the most important aspects of a restaurant. In such a beautiful location with such great potential, I would have expected more attention to the customer. For example, I would have appreciated a waiter who could recommend dishes or who was more present at the tables, especially considering that the place wasn't particularly crowded. After ordering the appetizers, we were the ones who had to ask for bread and sauces for the chips. Once the appetizers were finished, the plates weren't cleared before the main courses arrived: the waiter with the first courses in hand had to wait for a colleague to clear the table. Furthermore, I had placed the silverware on my plate to indicate I wanted it replaced, but they simply put it back on the table and I had to ask for it myself. Other diners also had their silverware taken away with their plates, and we had to ask for it ourselves, while the waiter would have replaced it automatically. At one point, the bread had also run out, and there was no waiter nearby to ask for it. One final, purely personal observation: I think the room could use some more attention to aesthetics. The unoccupied tables were completely bare, without tablecloths or any other decoration, and this, in such an elegant location, gave a somewhat neglected impression. The bill, in my opinion, is absolutely in line with the quality of the cuisine, the location, and the beauty of the venue. For this very reason, however, I expected service to match the setting. It's a place with enormous potential, and with a greater focus on service, it could truly offer an excellent experience.

05/08/2026: Bad experience! Inspired by the location, we decided to try this restaurant, but we left disappointed. The service was poor, and so was the food. The spaghetti with clams was definitely worth a look, along with the other dishes we ordered. We were served by an older gentleman with a manner completely unbecoming of a waiter. The owner should ask himself if what he's doing with that restaurant is right. Because everything is wrong!

08/08/2026: Restaurant/pizzeria with a good seafood menu and excellent pizza. We ordered a seafood first course, a marinara pizza, grilled vegetables, a green salad, and Pizzo truffle. The first course was flavorful and well-balanced, and the pizza dough was soft and well-risen. The only flaw is that some seafood first courses had cream added. The service was attentive and fast. Prices were reasonable.

26/06/2026: We stopped for a quick lunch. The sandwiches are very good (the swordfish one is a real treat)! The staff is very courteous, smiling, and helpful! The place is a bit basic, but I'd say that's something you can overlook. It was an experience I'd repeat if I were in the area again! Highly recommended!
