21/08/2026: Too bad... We went there one evening with other couples... The food wasn't bad, they say the pizza was good, I enjoyed the fried food, but otherwise very disappointed. At the entrance, even though we had mentioned when booking that we were bringing our four-legged friend, when we passed by a local gentleman who said behind his back ("Oh, the dog too"), if we hadn't been with other people, we would have already left. The waitress didn't even smile; I'm not saying you have to entertain us, but at least make it seem like we're not bothering you... It's a shame because the place so close to the sea could really be perfect for a pleasant evening.

18/08/2026: Absolutely worth a try, the best pizza in Scalea and the surrounding area, as Neapolitan tradition demands, and Nausicaa truly delivers. Everyone was delighted: the pizza dough, the cooking, the toppings, there's nothing to complain about, just eat and enjoy. I had the fried pizza with Neapolitan filling, fried perfectly, not greasy on the outside and delicious on the inside, absolutely worth a try! A cool and elegant summer location along the lido.

23/08/2026: I've seen a lot, eaten in many places, but I haven't eaten such good food in Italy in a long time! Delicious! The service was brilliant, the prices very reasonable. I recommend getting a few smaller appetizers and... gorge yourself!

26/06/2026: Last-minute find for a quick dinner. Outlying location. Mediocre meat appetizer. Potatoes, onions, and grilled vegetables were not abundant, but over-seasoned, with unnecessary oil. Mediocre chicken steak. I wouldn't return. Excessively expensive for the quality and location: €44 for an appetizer, a steak, and two side dishes, including water.

The batter was so raw, white, and "anemic," with a rubbery, unpleasant texture that we'll remember for a long time. For €5, I would have expected at least a properly cooked product, but apparently the griddle was treated as an optional extra or used terribly. The service and cuisine definitely deserve encouragement... and a change of profession! 😇

04/08/2026: This morning we had breakfast at La Dolce Isola, and the experience was simply excellent. We ordered two chocolate croissants, a pistachio croissant, a cappuccino, an espresso, a macchiato, and a half-liter bottle of water. Everything was fresh, fragrant, and prepared with great care. The croissants were soft and richly filled, while the coffee was aromatic and perfectly balanced, just as you'd expect from an authentic Italian café. The establishment is elegant, meticulously maintained, and located in the heart of Scalea, a truly ideal spot for a pleasant break during a stroll. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the service is friendly, professional, and attentive to customer needs. Beyond the excellent breakfast, the extraordinary variety of offerings is striking: a vast selection of artisanal gelato, sundaes, desserts, crepes, beverages, cocktails, wines, and high-quality coffees. The wine bar also deserves a special mention, offering a wide selection of wines to suit all tastes, making this place a must-visit not only for breakfast but also for an aperitivo or an evening with friends. La Dolce Isola is one of those places that leaves a truly pleasant memory and makes you want to return. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Scalea: quality, courtesy, a wide selection, and a central location combine to offer a top-notch experience. Kudos to the entire staff!

20/08/2025: I had the opportunity to try the sandwich at The Burger Bros at the Scalea amusement park, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional: the meat was fantastic, the cheddar was real cheese sliced ​​on the spot, and the bacon was high-quality, not the usual processed product. The owner and his wife were extremely kind and made sure we were satisfied. I will definitely be back; it's undoubtedly the best sandwich in Scalea.

20/08/2025: I had to wait an hour for a damn lower than average burger. Even Mcdonald's can do better than that.

19/08/2026: Unfortunately, I can't review the food because the organization was terrible... I called to make a reservation and they told me "Come in..." "We'll find a table for three as soon as it's available." After an hour of waiting, with people with reservations getting ahead of me, I heard the waiters say that the burgers were out of stock... I asked for clarification and they told me that unfortunately, many people order double burgers, so I'll have to settle for one sausage... I didn't know whether to laugh or cry!

21/07/2026: If you're in Scalea for a vacation, I recommend eating at this restaurant, which is also close to the sea! The food is delicious and top-quality! Both the burgers and the traditional Calabrian cuisine! The owner was incredibly kind from start to finish, even offering us a delicious mint liqueur and lollipops for the girls. Highly recommended.

After that, she made me wait a long time for a yogurt because there is never anyone behind there. I would never go into that bar again because they have always been rude, but this time this ice cream shop closed down with me.

15/08/2026: Negative Experience Unfortunately, what happened this evening at our table was truly unpleasant and, in my opinion, completely out of place. The waitress serving us was aggressive and unprofessional toward our table. The situation began to escalate when a simple complaint was made to the owner, with no intention of starting an argument or causing problems. Instead of calmly clarifying the matter, the waitress reacted very aggressively, turning a perfectly manageable situation into a decidedly unpleasant confrontation. Subsequently, the owner also intervened, addressing our table in an equally aggressive and disrespectful tone, in front of other customers. Personally, I find this attitude truly unacceptable, especially in a place where professionalism and customer service are supposed to be paramount. A complaint, regardless of whether it's shared or not, should be listened to and handled politely. It's not normal for a simple observation to escalate into a heated argument in front of everyone. I would like to point out, however, that the other staff members were kind, helpful, and polite, and I'm sorry that their good behavior is overshadowed by what happened with the waitress and the owner. The fact remains that the attitude toward our table this evening was, in my opinion, rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional.

21/08/2026: It's not bad, but it's not great either. A pizzeria with Neapolitan dough but a shallower crust (a mix that frankly doesn't excite me), and somewhat meh ingredients (some pizzas, even with toppings, tasted like Margherita pizzas). The location is very convenient, of course, but the prices are excessively high for what it is (the place isn't air-conditioned and very hot, especially inside).
