Qualità delle materia prime e professionalità ne fanno un punto di riferimento per tutti i guormet. Se posso sprecare una critica, servirebbe un lista vini un po più ampia, questo è un mio parere...
08/03/2024: Located in the center of the beautiful Tropea. It's always good, dishes well presented and with quality raw materials. Excellent service. Prices in line with the quality of the products offered. The only flaw, but it's my point of view, there is no serious wine list, that would make the difference...

03/04/2024: We went for Easter Monday. Pretty good food but very poor dessert buffet.
They wanted us to pay everything in advance and then in the evening they called us saying that we had to pay differences. They should have at least made it known at the time or when we left, not hours later.
24/03/2024: Lovely place, 100% comfort. The rooms are pleasantly sized, the staff very friendly and helpful. Also worth trying is the spa experience and a relaxing walk in the countryside
. Wonderful place, especially in the summer!

Very particular location, upon entering you find yourself on a very welcoming veranda and then cross the threshold of the restaurant... we find ourselves in this large room with several tables, warm colors cover the walls and the display of paintings where the values of the old ones are shown traditions.
The staff is very welcoming, we were well received, which was very welcome, for the menu we asked the staff for advice on how to taste the local specialties and I must say that I was truly amazed by the quantity of tastings that arrived...!! Never seen so much food.. for 7 people..!!
Trust me when I tell you that we really struggled to finish it also due to the considerable and much appreciated quantity over the quality..!!!
In addition to the starters you can see from the photos published, we took advice again and said that the first courses were also super abundant and really good..
I highly recommend...!

At Trattoria del sole it is nice to taste the dishes first with your eyes, because they are always plated with great taste and delicacy, after which there is the delight of the palate which pleasantly surprises and gratifies every time. The raw materials are of great quality as is the professionalism of those who cook them. I offer my compliments to all the staff and recommend that anyone wishing to go there books well in advance... It's the price of success!

03/03/2024: It's been a while since I've been back... first of all, I really appreciated the location with very refined equipment and perfect equipment.
An exquisite trio of tartare, as was the very tasty and harmonious cacio e pepe with mussels: I feared it would be a risky choice, but instead it was a truly successful dish. My husband had a superlative porcini and truffle fillet!
Super generous portions. Well done, keep it up!

Good food, in line with the prices.
The only thing is that the portion of the first courses is a little small.

Ciccino grill is absolutely a must in Rende... quality, courtesy, fine wines and highly qualified staff!!!

06/04/2024: We've been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time and I'm sorry we didn't do it sooner, we spent a lovely evening in a splendid location by the sea.
We were welcomed by the bubbly Domenico with 2 glasses of prosecco who recommended the Nautico appetizer, scialatielli with seafood and fried calamari and calamarille, all delicious and despite having ordered 1 appetizer, 1 first course and 1 second course, 2 of us couldn't eat it all .

16/02/2024: The jewel created by the Sculli brothers is the perfect sublimation of sight and taste, the extraordinary level of quality of the raw materials and the absolute excellence and respect with which chef Riccardo designs his creations truly come close to perfection. Elegant location masterfully organized by brother Francesco and the staff for whom competence and courtesy are simply the norm, you will never miss a smile at Gambero Rosso. The wine shop located on the lower floor is wonderful, where you will find top-quality wines. I will make a special mention for the excellent value for money, absolutely competitive given the quality of the food and services offered. I deny those who, in my opinion improperly, have criticized the bill in other reviews and equally improperly the quantitative level of the dishes, here we are talking about emotions, it is different.

27/03/2024: For those visiting the city of Rende, it is a necessary stop. I mainly recommend the pizza, of which there are three possibilities: Cosenza, Neapolitan and Pinza. I highly recommend the Cosenza, low and crunchy, to immerse yourself in the flavors of this city.

04/04/2024: Food and service was just average at best. Tourist trap basically.
01/04/2024: We ate in this restaurant at the end of August, a nice girl welcomed us; after having made us sit down, however, we were served at the table by another waitress, who after making a bad impression by asking personal questions, first took the plate away from my partner while she was still eating (literally) and then started muttering something in dialect Calabrian every time he approached the table.
They fooled people into thinking they could choose the lobsters from the aquarium, but once they took them out of the water they took a quick trip to the kitchen and then went out the back and as if nothing had happened they put them back in their place.
It took us less time to eat than to pay, we had to tell the owner that we were in a hurry to go and she in response, with a grimace, said that she was working.
The pizza chef and the waitress who welcomed us are the only two employees I would save, but starting from the owner and then arriving at the bigoted and rude waitress I would kick everyone in the ass.
I understand that it is complex to understand all this, it is also complex for me to explain it in writing, but what happened is madness.
The place was recommended to us, we do not recommend it to anyone!
I'm Southern, but these are the characters that feed the Southern stereotype.
That said,
If "this is love", after being with you I can say that you don't know what love is, for food, respect for people, respect for customers and so on and so forth.
Any advice guys?
if you want to eat a pizza, there are hundreds of pizzerias in Tropea.
