22/02/2026: Terrible, unfriendly staff, avoid.

02/01/2026: We ate mussels at this restaurant during a vacation in Maratea. The next day, both my partner and I felt very ill and had to go to the emergency room. We can't determine the exact cause, but the experience was very unpleasant and unfortunately marked the end of our vacation.

28/09/2025: Given the limited selection, we opt for this place, which appears more youthful than the others. We order a beer and a half-glass cocktail (without the ice, the quantity was the size of a crodino...). As appetizers, they throw a small packet of taralli and a packet of chips on the table. If only they'd even issued a receipt... huh!!???

13/10/2025: Hidden in an alley... excellent cuisine and friendly staff will leave you speechless... Everything, from the appetizers to the coffee, is excellent, and even the bill doesn't disappoint...

21/12/2025: This Chinese restaurant is very different from the standard one we're used to. The atmosphere is quiet and elegant. The menu is rather limited (but better). The ravioli are excellent, and the centenary egg with silken tofu (hard to find in Italy) is noteworthy. The wine selection is good. The prawns are good. The calamari with celery is not very popular, and in my opinion, it should be seasoned separately with oil and pepper. The cheesecake lacked character. The green tea tiramisu was perfect. All this certainly doesn't cost as much as a "traditional" Chinese restaurant.

06/12/2025: Excellent quality, different from just Chinese/Fusion, pleasant atmosphere, wide selection of wines, friendly staff. Prices in line with the area.

08/03/2026: Short stay in Maratea. This bar is very close to our hotel. The perfect place to start the day: a welcoming, relaxing atmosphere with quick service. Behind the bar, you can even admire a stream with a small waterfall!

29/08/2025: Just one question: what kind of pasta do you use? I've never had anything so tasteless and inconsistent. A terrible experience, saved only by the smile of the girl serving. Even the desserts lacked the only one I would have liked. We were speechless, but also full of smoke, since customers are allowed to smoke at the tables.

13/10/2025: A pleasant surprise in the heart of Maratea's historic center. The restaurant is small and welcoming, perfect for an intimate lunch or a sociable dinner. Excellent food, with traditional Lucanian dishes presented in an original and exceptional way. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

06/11/2025: I felt terrible the same evening after eating something that was not recommended. I have a rented apartment here. I felt terrible and unfortunately the city is small and I went back to eat at Yumara again. We will never go back, especially up all the stairs to have the slow, messy service. The lady at the bar tries again and yet she understood that we had returned but with our women even to hang around with some bitters. Our women got up and left then their creations of sandwiches that are only expensive and not tasty but come on, only the view saves you. The rest you are lost. My children were very sick because of those dry sandwiches. Who knows, then everything is dirty, not even the care of the glasses. CRAZY PRICES JUST FOR THE VIEW OTHERWISE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A SHAME.

13/09/2025: I came on Wednesday evening with my boyfriend. The service is disorganized, inattentive, and indifferent. The only good thing about this place is the view. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't have given it a single star.

29/08/2025: Although we reserved with days in advance we were asked to wait for more than 20 minutes until they cleared the table. The service was lacking, the waitress and owner rude making unfortunate expressions and remarks and therefore caused the experience to be less than agreeable. The food overpriced for what is offered and made us wait for over than an hour.

26/08/2025: Everything was excellent. Definitely worth a try.

28/02/2026: Delicious pizza, which I order whenever I can. It's lovely to look out over the sea while sipping a glass of wine. The owner is kind and professional.

14/10/2025: We didn't like it, we were not impressed with the quality of the food. The service was normal.

21/10/2025: Gelato with a sea view. Excellent, made with high-quality ingredients. The Maratea harbor, overlooked by the statue of Christ, provides the backdrop. Also recommended for celiacs. Friendly staff.

15/09/2025: Passing through Maratea, we decided to stop at this little place selling traditional products. I must say I was very impressed both with the products I ate (delicious) and with the intimate atmosphere in a small piazza decorated with photos. The owner is a very honest person who lets you try his products without overcharging or being intrusive.

24/08/2025: I dreamed of a typical sandwich, perhaps with a touch of Lucanian tradition and a friendly smile. Instead, I found a masterpiece of coldness, seasoned with rudeness and stuffed with condescendingness. The owners? A textbook duo: zero empathy, courtesy on sale (sold out), and plenty of rudeness. The sandwich looked like it came from a refrigerator on strike, but at least it was consistent with the atmosphere: cold, hasty, hostile. A place like this should only be visited to test your own zen limits. But if you prefer to eat in peace... follow your instincts and cross the street.

31/08/2025: I've been there several times, but each time the lady hasn't been very friendly, rather grumpy. The price list at the entrance isn't up to date, so you have to add a minimum of €1 to each pizza—surprise! I'll give the girls at the cash register 5 stars.
