15/09/2025: Passing through Maratea, we decided to stop at this little place selling traditional products. I must say I was very impressed both with the products I ate (delicious) and with the intimate atmosphere in a small piazza decorated with photos. The owner is a very honest person who lets you try his products without overcharging or being intrusive.
24/08/2025: I dreamed of a typical sandwich, perhaps with a touch of Lucanian tradition and a friendly smile.
Instead, I found a masterpiece of coldness, seasoned with rudeness and stuffed with condescendingness.
The owners? A textbook duo: zero empathy, courtesy on sale (sold out), and plenty of rudeness.
The sandwich looked like it came from a refrigerator on strike, but at least it was consistent with the atmosphere: cold, hasty, hostile.
A place like this should only be visited to test your own zen limits.
But if you prefer to eat in peace... follow your instincts and cross the street.

21/10/2025: Gelato with a sea view. Excellent, made with high-quality ingredients. The Maratea harbor, overlooked by the statue of Christ, provides the backdrop. Also recommended for celiacs. Friendly staff.

31/08/2025: I've been there several times, but each time the lady hasn't been very friendly, rather grumpy. The price list at the entrance isn't up to date, so you have to add a minimum of €1 to each pizza—surprise!
I'll give the girls at the cash register 5 stars.
18/08/2025: A wonderful discovery! Rich, tasty, and piping hot takeout pizzas. The Gorgo & Pere pizza is superb! The girls are incredibly kind and take great care in the quality of the food and delivery (they do everything they can to deliver the pizza hot, even to those who are late).
We'll definitely be back.

16/09/2025: A historic venue located in the historic center, where you can enjoy breakfast or aperitifs, even outdoors. The citron spritz and pastries are excellent. You can also watch football on Sky. The owner, Umberto, is a delightful host.
07/09/2025: Fantastic bar: super aperitif, excellent croissants, and then... they're JUVENTUS FANS!!! I'll confirm for August 2023 too: GREAT! Adding Aug/Sep 25: good aperitif, citron spritz!

"LIBERATORE" pizza al taglio - rosticceria

04/09/2025: Poor quality food!!! The sales assistant was hysterical. When I pointed out that I hadn't received the cake we'd ordered—the one I was counting on, since the rest was terrible—she sent me packing... Go somewhere else in Maratea, there are so many excellent places with decent people.

06/09/2025: A refined, elegant place with exquisite food. I add, referring to those who don't like it or those who get up and leave, with the excuse of having chosen the wrong place: go somewhere else that suits you, it's better! Octopus walled EXCELLENT!!!!! I confirm everything again, returned on September 24, EVERYTHING EXCELLENT! And I confirm again: August 31, 25, the excellence continues........in the face of some envious people...thanks again, September 6, 25
22/08/2025: I was here for dinner in August, we opted for a first course with red prawns and a second course with cod, the quality of the products was average, the plating was careful and the service was courteous but we found the prices exaggerated compared to the products and services and the general average of the Maratea restaurants!

15/09/2024: Nella frazione più vivibile e ricca di servizi di Maratea, Fiumicello, proprio "dietro l'angolo", sorge il ristorante- pizzeria "El Sol", un localino davvero carino e curato nei minimi dettagli, sia all'interno che all' esterno. Verrete accolti da uno staff a conduzione familiare molto cortese che vi proporrà piatti ottimi, sia a livello qualitativo che quantitativo, perfettamente in linea (anzi, meglio) coi che prospettano. Il pesce mi ha dato l'impressione della freschezza e mi sento di consigliare il vino bianco della casa, una falanghina da 12 ° genuino e amabile. Peccato sia aperto solo nella stagione estiva, maggio- settembre, altrimenti andrebbe provato in tutti i periodi dell' anno. Ad maiora.
14/09/2024: Mi sono trovata molto bene, i piatti erano squisiti e il locale aveva un'atmosfera perfetta per passare una bella serata in compagnia! ♥️

08/03/2025: Avevamo letto ottime recensioni e devo confermare che davvero l'hotel è spettacolare! E soprattutto si sta proprio bene! Non per niente molti turisti che ho incontrato erano clienti fissi!
Oltre all'albergo merita una menzione anche il ristorante. Servizio top!!

16/09/2024: Proprietaria gentilissima. Cibo buono e in porzioni normali. Ma ciò non giustifica il prezzo delle singole portate. La”location” senz’altro influirà ma, personalmente, non lo ritengo economico.
27/08/2024: Consiglio vivamente di pranzare o cenare in questo ristorante con una vista spettacolare la proprietaria è gentilissima e ti consiglia ottimamente hanno pasta fatta in casa prodotti del luogo le portate sono abbondanti e in questi giorni di caldo si sta divinamente io ho pranzato fuori e sinceramente non volevo più andare via quando sarò in zona tornerò sicuramente
