04/10/2025: As good as the food is, the service is TERRIBLE. We've been to different Locanda del Macellaio restaurants several times, but we definitely won't be returning to this one AGAIN. We made a reservation this morning for 9 PM, with a table for 13 people. We arrived ON TIME, but they took us a long time, telling us "you have to wait 2 minutes." After 45 minutes, the table still wasn't ready!! They didn't even apologize. A truly TERRIBLE experience!

21/09/2025: We've been going there forever, we love the place and the really good meat, but we found ourselves with the surprise of a €2.50 cover charge, €6.00 ​​beer, €5.00 fries and if before they offered you amaro now you find yourself paying more for that than for the meat. Personally, the cover charge is excessive.

Damp, black walls, cockroaches, rusty bathroom fixtures—it's a disgrace to rent a room like that. When I complained to reception, they couldn't change my room because everything was full, and other properties either didn't have room or the prices were exorbitant. We didn't sleep the entire night, waiting for daylight to break and escape. The room was booked on Booking.com, which described it as completely different. If you've booked or are planning to book this hotel, don't get room 12, the room of horrors.

Direct flavor, lively heat, just enough salt. No special effects: you come here for the meat, period. Friendly service, fast pace, spartan but clean atmosphere. Warm bread, two basic side dishes, honest house wine. Fair prices for what you put on your plate. Important note: watch out for Tito... he bites 😅. He's a guy who tells things as they are: don't come here to be refined. Golden rule: don't ask for arugula on your sliced ​​steak. Here the meat speaks for itself and doesn't need leaves to cover anything. If you're looking for a real grill, with character and substance, go ahead. You'll leave full, happy, and with that aroma of the grill that already tells the story of the evening. 5 stars.
