22/12/2023: Disorganizzazione e personale improvvisato. Capisco che sono in fase di rodaggio, ma aspettare due panini un'ora , significa avere dei grossi problemi in cucina che appare anche piccola rispetto ad altre simili strutture. Basta poi guardare il personale in cucina per capire che manifestano smarrimento di continuo. Aspettiamo la fine del rodaggio e dei responsabili.....più....responsabili

14/01/2024: Congratulations, excellent fish and great service.
02/10/2023: Average dishes given that we had arrived after 10 hours of travel, therefore hungry and tired. The worst thing was that they wanted us to drink loose rosé wine which was practically vinegar, telling us that the local rosé is just like that. Big mistake considering that we have been in SALENTO 4 years in a row and we know a lot about wine. NEVER AGAIN.

As soon as I entered I felt at home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with simple but traditional decor.
The menu offers a wide variety of typical dishes, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients (the donkey ragù is excellent). Every bite is full of flavor and you can feel the heart that went into preparing the food.
But the real gem of this restaurant is the owner. With his warmth and friendliness, he made me feel like an old friend. His passion for food and local culture is evident in every story and tip he shares.

03/10/2023: On Tuesday evening, few places are open and we want meat, so we stop at ta carne. Poor quality mixed grill, they recommend you since there is a wait for their aubergine and courgette meatballs but they only arrive with aubergines, and of course they will be finished. My husband's meat arrives very hard and with the cut in the direction of the wrong meat with a knife without a blade suitable for the only meat there is. The bread is terrible and they continually speak to us in English. But we are Italians! They bring us the bill without a receipt and ask for cash. How dishonest and arrogant. But why ? But why? Not recommended due to the lack of honesty, the food takes second place!
26/09/2023: TO AVOID!
I rarely write negative reviews, in fact almost never, but here it is truly deserved.
Let me start by saying that we only took the bowler hats and I rate them positively (not the best I've tasted in Puglia, but good). The bowler hats cost €2 each, the price is displayed for the single piece, this means that one can choose as many as they want. In reality the waiter arrogantly imposed two portions of 10 pieces each on us. We accepted because I don't like arguing and making scenes in public, but obviously it annoyed me. We asked for the bill and waited ten minutes to get it: the place was empty and the staff inside was made up of four people chatting among themselves. Obviously it was not possible to pay by debit card and the waiter showed up at the table with a non-fiscal receipt. I paid in cash and asked for the receipt because if the goal is to cheat the tourist, who incidentally gives you food, then it's right to be a pain in the ass customer.
€49.50 for two for an aperitif.
The same evening, a few meters later, we paid the same price for a fish dinner.
Luckily in Gallipoli there are honest restaurateurs, but certainly elsewhere.

16/03/2024: Lo spazio esterno è molto bello,caratteristico e ben curato,non posso dire lo stesso della cucina ….
Il primo aveva il sugo amaro e palesemente di tipo industriale con la pasta stracotta.
Il secondo prevedeva salsiccia e patatine fritte e dentro la salsiccia ho trovato pezzi di ossa tritati e L’intestino era duro al taglio inoltre la patatine era congelate e molto ridotte (vedi foto).
Dessert di crostata con marmellata di ciliegie 🍒 e anche questa purtroppo era congelata,il servizio è poco gentile e molto lento

27/07/2023: Nothing that was ordered was brought. Fillet 30.00 had to be Argentinian and rare. When I informed the manager the cook responded. We don't have Argentine meat and cooking it rare was difficult in the kitchen we had a temperature of 80 degrees. The usual southerners who want to make fun of people even if they make them look ignorant

01/09/2023: We heard good things about this place (seemingly before they changed owners).
My partner ordered the blue cheese burger which wasn’t apparent that it was blue cheese on the menu. The cheese was also meant to be a sauce. It was just sliced blue cheese that hadn’t even melted.
I ordered the mayonnaise, cheese and caramelised onion burger which was the most expensive at €11.
It was ironic that this was the most expensive as it was the most basic. The meat was cheap (pre made) the bun was dry and the onions weren’t caramelised - just cooked in a pan. The burger was so undercooked that I was unable to eat half of it.
It was all made with no love. It was reminiscent of a burger truck at the side of the road or a fun fair. Very cheap.
The mayonnaise was being charged at €0.50 for a small heinz sachet… really?
The waitress was on a different planet. So unobservant - especially as there were only 4 other tables seated. After leaving our trays at the edge of the table with her just standing watching the screen the whole time, we had to get her attention to get her to clear our food. Same with the bill.
For €40 for 2 crap burgers, chips (which were actually the best thing about our meal) and two beers I think is silly considering the quality of the food, how the food was cooked and the service. Very disappointing

25/02/2024: Abbiamo passato una piacevolissima serata in compagnia di amici in questo posto molto carino.. sembra quasi di stare in uno chalet in montagna.. piatti deliziosi e presentati bene..carne squisita e cotta al punto giusto, verdure ottime latticini di ottima qualità...cura nei dettagli e personale preparato e gentile!!
05/01/2024: Locale molto semplice. Qualità della carne ottima, e bei piatti.
Ritorneremo perché siamo soddisfatti.
