22/07/2024: I've been going to La Cantina dell'Abbazia for years, sometimes more assiduously, sometimes less, but I have to tell the truth they have never disappointed me. The quality of the food is always excellent, the appetizers give way to a prelude of ancient flavours, the first courses are delicious, as our grandparents made them, homemade and tasty, the meat-based second courses are impossible not to try, the homemade desserts are the perfect ending, accompanied by a excellent choice of bitters and liqueurs. The price is honest, it certainly depends a lot on what you drink or the meat you order, therefore, you decide how much you want to enjoy and then when you eat well the cost is secondary. In any case, there is one thing that is priceless and which today is a rarity, kindness and hospitality, here they could easily teach many "renowned" restaurateurs from Campania.

13/07/2024: Very particular restaurant where the furnishings and objects really catch the visitor's eye. Excellent location for meat lovers who can choose directly from the large fridge cabinet on display in the restaurant. The best dish, at least for my taste, was the Genoese pasta, excellent sauce compared to that of the olden days... The starters were good but a little something could be improved. A note of thanks to the room manager, if I remember correctly his name is Mario who has always been kind and very professional. Prices are normal. I would recommend parking reserved for guests in order to avoid customers who persistently come and ask you for money even if you have parked your car along the public road.

06/07/2024: Rapporto qualità prezzo davvero deludente, forse dovevamo scegliere un taglio da 110€ al kg, ma per 70€ al kg (sotto consiglio del personale) ci si aspetta comunque il minimo cioè il sapore! Lo scrivo per chi aveva la nostra stessa aspettativa, non credo di tornarci.

25/06/2024: La zona e’ quel che è, siamo in via argine, zona periferica di Napoli con poche attrattive. Il locale è ristrutturato, ampio e con un fresco dehor. Sono stato qui per un pranzo di lavoro, abbiamo ordinato alcuni antipastini da condividere (parmigiana, peperone imbottunato) ottimi, poi abbiamo scelto la pasta e patate, che mi hanno detto e’ una delle specialità della casa. 22/08/2024: Nothing to take away from the quality of the products, but charging €5 for 6 leaves of salad, washed and placed on the plate without any seasoning (which is €4 on the menu) is in my opinion legalized robbery. If you stop by, get the chicken with potatoes, which is really good even if excessively expensive. The friendly staff, the second star is for them.

24/08/2024: Una bella scoperta nel cuore di Chiaia. Piccolo ma intimo locale su due livelli, in un contesto tranquillo e accogliente. Ottima la qualità della carne, così come la sua preparazione e eccellenti i sapori. Servizio all'altezza, soprattutto nei consigli ai commensali e buon rapporto qualità-prezzo. Alla prossima!

02/06/2024: The restaurant is quite small. Just four or five tables on the upper floor and one (high) on the ground floor. However, internally very well furnished with exposed wooden beams. We tried two cuts with a side of broccoli. Both very good and excellent side dish. Definitely worth returning. Since the place is quite small, booking is definitely necessary. We arrived in the area very early, so we didn't have any major problems with parking but, otherwise, I think the only option is to find a garage in the area (still quite expensive... usually €5 per hour!).

21/07/2024: On our way back from Puglia we decided to stop for lunch in this restaurant that we already knew. In addition to a beautiful renovated restaurant, we ate fantastic food, all fresh, well served and with attention to detail. Despite a general inconvenience due to a power blackout throughout the entire neighborhood, the restaurant guaranteed us all the courses from start to finish... the only disappointment for the managers who were forced to cancel the reservations arriving from there soon....we will definitely be back.
