Simply delicious, the price was perfectly reasonable, the croquettes were fantastic, the wood-fired chicken was perfect, what a flavor... We have a few more days here and will definitely come back again...

Half a roasted chicken, crispy potato wedges, salad and house wine, served instantly, with a smile. Packed to the gunnels on a Sunday evening with local familes. A lifesaver after so much pasta and seafood.

After a while, I returned to the best rotisserie on the island. Nothing has changed: everything was delicious, the staff and owner were very kind, the wait time was short, and the prices were fair for the quality. If I could give an opinion/suggestion, I would add a few more vegetables, like onions or zucchini, to the skewers in addition to the peppers; but that's a matter of personal preference! Highly recommended.

Outside, the dish of the day was €5 and the parmigiana €6, for a total of €11. On the menu, they were €6 and €7, for a total of €13. On the bill, they turned out to be €16. When I first arrived, I thought it was a place of mathematical magic, but then I discovered that in Ischia, it's normal to have a takeout price and a table price, plus a cover charge. All in all, a decent option for a quick stop near the port. Small portions, but overall, okay.

Simply delicious. My favorite place in ischia since I was a kid. The chicken is just perfect: crunchy skin outside and tender inside. Potatoes are to die for (they are left to warm under the cooking chicken and get all the drippings) Pizzas are also very good, soft and just the right sauciness for the Neapolitan style. Added plus … they freeze the beer glasses so you get a perfect cold brew to wash down all the food.

Always delicious! The rotisserie chicken is fresh and fragrant, as are the skewers, pork neck, and porchetta! The side dishes are reminiscent of those you'd eat at an old friend's house... A special mention for the pizza!!! Peppe is fantastic! The prices are truly ridiculous! 100% recommended!

My family and I had seen this place in passing every day on the way out of Porto when we caught the various busses to travel around the island. It fronts onto the busy road so is obviously very busy during the day. Do not, repeat NOT be put off by the location of this place, it is a fantastic little grill and the food is amazing and easy on the wallet. We had kebabs, chicken, fish, pizza, good God, so much really, really tasty food. Good service and friendly staff, what looks like a busy road side venue during the day turns into a great place to sit, relax and watch as people turn up to collect take away food. We didn't actually think we'd ordered that much, but had to take some home with us as we couldn't bear to leave it!!! To sum up, we spent a week on Ischia and dined all over the island, I can honestly say Antico Girarrosto Ischitano was by far the best place we had the pleasure to visit. Saluti Antico Girarrosto Ischitano!!!
