20/10/2023: Essendo state le 21:10,siamo entrati per fame,poi ho letto le recensioni. Però devo dire che le cose che abbiamo preso,erano buone,certo,la pizza non è come siamo abituati noi in umbria,ma comunque buona. L'antipasto misto di pesce a 18euro era molto buono. Poi abbiamo preso il Vaporetto {un calzone ripieno} è un bel piatto che riempe molto. Hanno un menù molto vasto ma le cose che abbiamo preso noi erano buone
06/09/2023: About to write my review, I have read all the other reviews and I'm surprised. However, I can only give you a review of our experience.
The restaurant is on the main run into the main shopping area after getting off the train, so a prime position for tourist foot fall.
We arrived around lunch time and wandered from the train station into the Cannaregio area where we walking past the restaurant and asked if we could just have drinks. The guy outside was friendly, chatting and welcoming. We sat at a table outside, he saw that I was hot, so he went to get a fan and plugged it in for me! Chatting about Manchester, the football and other things English, we ordered beer, coffee and a fresh orange juice. All served quickly and still chatting and having a laugh with the front of house guy (I've called him that, the one that touts for business). We sat for at least an hour (hiding from the sun) and loved a bit of people watching as it's on the main route for tourists and near a canal.
Enjoyed the drinks, I enjoyed the fan, toilets were lovely and it's actually a really nice restaurant inside with loads of seating!
I did make a joke when I asked the other half to get the bill saying "I bet we've got a cover charge due to the location and a charge for the electric fan', but it was 14 euros! (Recap: 1 huge beer, 1 Americano with milk, 1 fresh orange juice). Cheapest we've paid all holiday and the service was so good, we left a 5 euro tip.
This was our personal experience and therefore I gave it that rating that I did.
