26/08/2024: Very nice meal in a quaint piazza not far from Rialto. This restaurant is in a lovely setting near the grand canal but just a bit further away from the crowds which makes it ideal. We had dinner and enjoyed our meal. The food wasn’t remarkable if I’m honest but solid fare and the service was very good. Delicious limoncello at the end! All in all a nice way to finish our long weekend in this beautiful city
28/07/2024: DO NOT GO THERE! Il servizio pessimo, i camerieri maleducati e presuntuosi! Alla domanda ‘come vi siete trovati?’ Abbiamo risposto male e non ci volevano fare spiegare il motivo! Pescato del giorno, non era fresco, pasta scondita con sempre pesce congelato (per quel poco che c’era) e antipasti poveri e cotti male! Il cameriere presuntuoso, ci ha pure dato dei bugiardi!

05/08/2024: Siamo stati da Lele due volte questa settimana. Un posto dove si mangia molto bene e i camerieri sono gentilissimi e con il sorriso in faccia, proprio come Lele.
Le moeche sono uno dei piatti top che vi consigliamo.

Leisurely meal watching the world (and boats) go by.

Servizio adeguato e cortese, ci siamo andati due sere e i prezzi sono più che abbordabili.
Cicchetti buoni ma migliorabili.

04/08/2024: Abbiamo assaggiato una varietà di cicchetti proposti dalla casa e altri scelti dal menù. A completamento della cena 4 primi . Cicchetti nella media del posto, per i primi ottimi I bigoli ai frutti di mare e gli spaghetti alle vongole (da precisare che erano lupini e non vongole, però...) . Male la pasta e fagioli ma solo per gusto personale, in quanto servita come originaria del posto e della cui composizione eravano stati correttamente informati dalla cameriera. .

Nice service, speaks English. The confectionery shop is located close to the market square, under a roof, with plenty of space to sit inside.
19/05/2024: Pastry shop in Piazza Ferretto in Mestre outdoor tables inside a few tables good service there is no menu with prices so you order blindly mignon pastry shop nothing exceptional indeed medium low high prices for the quality

03/07/2024: The atmosphere of this place is created by the monuments located next to the cafe.
Unfortunately, even the best atmosphere can be ruined by the cafe staff. The waitress was nice, but she didn't know English or German at all. A very extensive card, in Italian, which created some problems for people who didn't know the language... a tip for the owner, if the card is in English or German, the waitress won't have to talk too much, and customers will get what they want at the moment ,
The cheesecake and tiramisu are delicious, and the coffee, although small, is also good. I'm not writing this place down, but I'll definitely check out others before I come back to this one
13/06/2024: Good coffee, toast good and very big. Very friendly service, even though Thursday is market day in Portogruaro and therefore there are a lot of guests.
We'd love to come back.

30/07/2024: Lovely restaurant a little away from the hustle and bustle, great gluten free pasta vongole, it would have been nice to be served with the option of Parmesan cheese, my daughter had the Gnocchi with salmon and cream, my partner had the spaghetti carbonara all of which were very good and would highly recommend. It would be nicer if the young man that served us was a bit more cheery. The deserts were very good too.
25/05/2024: One of many restaurants alongside rio della Sensa canal, selected as it had one table free on the canal side and a reasonable varied menu that didn't seem over priced. Very happy with our choice. We had a mixed fish grill with a salad, that did not disapoint. House white wine was OK and staff friendly.

15/06/2024: The best cappuccino in Eraclea, excellent coffee, milk, a soft cream with foam half a cup thick. The owner is capable, fast and very friendly.
Unfortunately this year the Living has changed management. He removed all the beautiful external furniture and even the small internal one. I don't like. I asked for a ginseng: dirty water. Well, I don't think I'll try to spend the morning drinking the fabulous cappuccino I drank last year 2023.
The 5 stars were intended for the previous management. ⭐️1 star

10/08/2024: Very well stocked pastry shop but the staff should be a little more polite.. I stopped in for a quick breakfast last Saturday, to my question 'do you also have sandwiches?' I heard them perhaps he replies in a dry and rude manner 'the grocery store is ahead'... I'm speechless because it's fine to have a good day - no - but it doesn't seem like the way to respond to a customer who has simply asked if it's an alternative to a sweet breakfast they also served savory food.. however the coffee was good and so was the brioche.. I'll consider whether to go back given the ways.
27/07/2024: Such a high opinion seems cloying and obvious, but given with good reason. Came in today, Saturday 27 July, at midday in the hope of finding a "last minute" cake: on the advice of the shop assistant I booked and purchased 2 meringue cakes, with the aim of bringing an all-round satisfaction to the party, one chocolate and one pistachio, to 12 guests. To have them ready, he advised me, and then confirmed on the phone, to come by in the afternoon to collect them. At 5pm the cakes were so popular that only a few crumbs were left on the plates. Pasticceria Nordio, the reference point in Sottomarina.

05/07/2024: Phenomenal fish restaurant down a residential road in Mestre. Easy walk from the team station Mestre Vinecia .. the most delightful setting as though sat in their garden or house , a team who are incredibly accommodating and changed the food to suit our dietary needs. Calm away from the business of Venice and well worth the visit, so much so we booked for a second of our three night stay in the area.
The food was fresh , served piping hot and was delicious. Fish cooked perfectly , a lovely light dry wine to accompany it which was recommended and served cold, I could ask for no more.
Food was light , pasta fish was not at all heavy.
Thank you to the team for 2 amazing meals!

It was some dstance so they collected us.
This is the place the locals eat. Big plates of food, expertly cooked and presented beautifully at the table by the owner.
Authentic local cuisine served impeccibly.
Baked to order fish with vegetable was fantastic.
The tiramisu portion was far too large but delcious. The lemon sorbet was soft and sharp and a deightful palate cleaner.

14/05/2024: Excellent “cornetti” and cakes made fresh daily. Owner and staff extremely kind, pleasant. Very good coffee. We will definitely return given the sympathy. All with a smile, whether to take away, eat on site or have it delivered...10/10, what more could you ask for? 😘
