10/05/2025: Fabulous welcome in a really nice setting. Everything from the welcome to the food and wine were first class. We had the Alpine menu 4 courses for €40 it was delicious and fantastic value for the quality of food. They have a huge wine selection and you can choose from reasonable prices or treat yourselves. The service was impeccable and made for a great night for my wife’s birthday.

30/04/2025: We were served a Vacherin expired since 6 days and when asked about it, were told it’s OK as it was stored in the cellar. We were also offered the option to change the dish to a Reblochonade as all Vacherin was from the same lot and thus, expired. The second Reblochonade was served showing us the expiry date on the package first, however without the wooden spatulas to serve it, leaving 4 people sharing 2 spatulas throughout the whole meal. Some of the heat protections placed on the cheese pan handles were worn out and so we had to use our napkins to hold them without burning our hands to serve the cheese. The service felt “with an attitude”, inattentive, absent and transactional. It felt as if our presence was “bothering”. We were never checked upon, engaged with and no extra word was offered outside of the bare minimum to take the order. No explanation offered for the various cold cuts served. The regular bread finished twice, no sight of the butter bread listed with the dish, the potatoes ran out and so did the wine without any notice and without any offer for a refill. Coffee took forever to be served as the machine wasn’t working to warm the milk for a “macchiato caldo”. One person at the table who didn’t order coffee was never even asked for her order or offered anything else, simply ignored. The music was loud enough to cover our conversations at times. The toilets had no TP. The Reblochonade was good.

03/02/2025: Strepitoso cibo (tipico da baita di montagna) e servizio impeccabile. Caldo, accogliente, rapido, organizzati per i bambini, ci hanno dato bicchieri e coperto in plastica, seggiolone e perfino tovaglietta e pastelli per colorare, bravi!! Prezzi in linea, peccato che alle 13:30 c’era altra prenotazione e non abbiamo goduto appieno

07/04/2025: Dopo 5 minuti dall'ordine sono arrivati 1 spaghetto ai frutti di mare con spaghetti precotti, salsa di pomodoro abbondantissima 10 cozze ed una cicala ed 1 capasanta, 2 porzioni di carne di alce riscaldata ( 38 euro a porzione) 2 calici di vino da 11 euro, se volete essere spennati è il posto giusto, p.s.abbiamo chiesto due caffè al vetro e sono arrivati due bicchieri con in fondo qualcosa di incommentabile

09/03/2025: My visit to Chalet Etoile in Cervinia was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the warm and friendly welcome set the tone for an exceptional evening. The staff was attentive, and the service was smooth and efficient. Drinks arrived promptly, followed by the antipasto – Tagliere Valdostana. The selection was excellent, with the standout being the mustard jam, which added a unique and delightful twist to the flavors. For the main course, I had ravioli with reindeer ragù, accompanied by berries. This dish was simply outstanding—one of the best meals I have ever tasted. The combination of rich, savory ragù with the subtle sweetness of the berries created a perfect balance of flavors. Overall, the service, atmosphere, and food quality exceeded all my expectations. A huge thank you for this wonderful experience—I can’t wait to return!.

16/03/2025: We went to this wine bar based on the reviews and because we wanted to try Aosta valley wine. Despite having numerous wines we were told they only had one red and one white local wine available even after we asked again due to being surprised at there being so little local choice. We opted for red with each glass having perhaps 150ml. While the wine was good it was not outstanding but our real surprise came at the bill. The four glasses we had cost a total of 54 euros leaving us feeling that we had been cheated. We find it difficult to understand why there is so little choice of local wine and the wine we were poured was not on their price list so we also feel we should have been told the price. It is never good to leave anywhere feeling cheated!

26/03/2025: There is a nice ristorante/bar placed in the top part of the blue slope no. 5, high enough not to meet crowds, but becoming more and more popular, so be aware of the peak hours during the lunch time. La Chatelaine Pila looks modest, but usually such places have the best Italian food. 😊 This bar has even much more: unique atmosphere and the enormously friendly staff! Amazing people, you feel like most welcomed guest, like family member. Open to talking and meeting new people, culture, language. Cheers to Sabine and Catherine (Kasia) – sorry, if I spelled your names incorrectly! And to others, so nice and smiling! There are panoramic windows inside so you can watch the beauty of the Valle d’Aosta enjoying your food when it’s too cold outside. Fantastic smell of wood fired oven makes it so cozy… Delicious food, local cuisine, desserts and cakes (tiramisu included!) looking so tasty… but to be honest – I’ve used to order mostly bombardino, hot wine and beer, just not to become fat while skiing. 😊 You can find here a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, tap and bottled ones, hot and cold. There are lot of places available on the fresh air when it’s sunny weather with mountains view all around. There is also a bonus, ‘secret’ not meant for outsiders – the kind of top-terrace with sunchairs, where you can relax holding a beer in hand and enjoying the sunshine. Not everyone knows it. Just climb these few steep steps…the view is stunning! You must visit this place, La Chatelaine Pila, to enjoy your special moments and nice break when skiing. Can’t wait for the next season and being there! Ski you later! 💙

30/04/2025: I was looking for a quiet restaurant to enjoy an unconventional lunch and I found much more. Fresh environment, simple decor in accordance with nature is a good menu choice. Exceptional tempura vegetables!! It's not easy to cook tasty and vegan and I enjoyed all the dishes. Super vegan burger!! The owner, as well as chef, told us about her sourcing choices which aim for native products grown without chemicals. I think once you try them you'll come back. Considering that it is not easy to cook vegan, the prices are in line with other vegan restaurants.

30/04/2025: It's very good, we go back for that but the atmosphere is really weird. We don't feel comfortable, no human warmth, no smile... Too bad

31/10/2024: The best pistachio ice cream in Italy! And every other type of ice cream melts aromatically in your mouth. The ice cream sundaes were prepared exactly as requested and were really cheap. We had a very young saleswoman who took pity on us and spoke English to us because all the other employees only spoke Italian. You should also definitely try the pastries. We have put together several bags with a selection of many pastries as gifts for friends.

07/09/2024: Devo dire che non ho molto da dire su questa pasticceria visto che ci abbiano solo presi il caffè e dei pasticcini alle 18 del 27 aprile, na volevo dare testimonianza dell'ottimo caffè e dell'ottima pasticceria da loro prodotta. Complimenti

01/05/2025: Nice pastry shop, small but nice, as far as I'm concerned, I won't return, they served me a lukewarm cappuccino, and a brioche with apricot jam with half a teaspoon of coffee filling

20/08/2024: Excellent base for those who go to Val Veny and especially for those who go to see the Miage with its beautiful lakes for those who love the mountains. The menu is good with Aosta Valley food and sandwiches. Nice view. Recommended for those arriving and/or leaving between lunch and intending to refresh themselves/eat. Check and book upon arrival. The prices are not exaggerated, they are acceptable given the place. Happy mountain.

20/08/2024: We returned from a tour of a refuge, and stopped for a snack. Very nice environment, mountain view around. Almost empty place, we waited and a young and friendly waiter arrived, we ordered 2 slices of cake and two cans of Sprite. 22 euros..... The cake was good 🤤 maybe a little expensive.... Considering that the refuge is not lost in the middle of the mountains but reached by public transport or if you prefer on foot. Owner, perhaps tired, a little sulky.

01/02/2025: Posto accogliente e familiare. Personale gentilissimo, disponibile e attento, pronti ad esaudire ogni nostra richiesta. In particolare il cameriere Francesco è stato gentilissimo, simpatico e molto paziente nonostante i nostri continui cambi di idee. Cibo ottimo e prezzi ragionevoli, menù molto vario. Posto molto pulito. Se vi trovare da queste parti, vi consigliamo di andarci a mangiare. (Non ho fatto in tempo a fare le foto a tutti i piatti) Torneremo sicuramente!!

27/01/2025: Ristorante senza grandi pretese ma con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Servizio veloce ed efficiente. Piatti tipici valdostani ad un prezzo accessibile. Abbiamo preso delle tagliatelle al ragù di cervo, delle crespelle alla valdostana, una polenta concia con uova e funghi porcini, una bottiglia di vino e due caffè. Costo complessivo 64 euro e due grappini in omaggio.
