21/10/2025: Last weekend, I found myself with my partner spending a wonderful weekend in the Siena hills. During our visit to the city, we decided to have lunch, just in time for lunch, and were welcomed by the Antica Trattoria Stalloreggi...
The quality of the cured meats on the platter was worthy of the best hospital-style Camst, even in appearance. The pici were perfectly made; even the guanciale was flavorless and overpowered by the glue that seemed to coat the pasta (it's cooked in boiling water).
Unfortunately, the waitress was left alone to serve when the place was almost full, so she was probably tired but polite, fortunately more so than the house white wine.
Let's conclude with the setting, which is in a beautiful village in the center of Siena, simple and rustic, typical of a hillside trattoria.
The prices are absolutely unreasonable for the quality: €60 for an appetizer, a first course, two vegetable side dishes, half a liter of colored water (called wine)... if you're going for coffee, highly recommended.

05/10/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant in the historic center of Sarteano, and what can I say? It was a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was homey, and the owner offered us delicious Cinta Senese ham as an appetizer. We ordered: a platter of cured meats and cheeses, pici all'aglione, ravioli with butter and sage, baked potatoes, biscotti and vin santo, red wine and coffee. Everything was delicious and carefully prepared. The portions were generous, and the prices were more than fair. We'll definitely be back!

17/01/2026: A delightful evening. Live music. Welcoming atmosphere. Very friendly staff. But the food... I'd say it was poor. The Piattone di Bottega, truly too small and rushed in its presentation, definitely needs a makeover. The French tartare, however, was excellent!!!!
I'd say that overall the food needs to be improved.

01/05/2025: Abbiamo preferito l'ottima cucina senese, a base di carne e pasta fatta in casa a mano, al menu di pesce, e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti: i piatti, molto curati ed appetitosi, di grande qualità, serviti con attenzione, sono stati tutti molto piacevoli.
Il locale, di lunga tradizione, è molto piacevole.
30/04/2025: Era la prima volta che ci andavamo, anche se in pieno centro della nostra città.
Sapevamo già che non sarebbe stata una cena da poca spesa, però l'importante è che siamo stati benissimo.
Le pietanze erano veramente ottime, ci siamo sentiti "coccolati" . Il personale è veramente professionale e più che cortese.

27/04/2025: Stavamo tornando a casa da una vacanza in Toscana, siamo passati per caso davanti a questa osteria e ci siamo fermati verso le 14.00. Locale semplice e un pò datato, ma gestito da un simpatico Pugliese trapiantato in loco da oltre 20 anni. Ci ha servito abbondanti affettati, formaggi e altre leccornie del luogo, con cortesia e simpatia e con un prezzo modestissimo.
Super consigliato. Gli Anconetani!!

05/07/2025: El mismo día que llegamos a la Toscana decidimos ir a un restaurante cercano recomendado por el hotel. Llegamos al establecimiento donde mi hija de 11 años (que habla Italiano con fluidez) se adelantó y preguntó si podían hospedarnos a los 4.
El anfitrión inmediatamente comenzó a maltratarla, en voz muy alta, preguntándole si no era capaz de levantar el teléfono y llamar para solicitar una reserva, entre otras ofensas. Se aseguró de que todo el restaurante pudiera escucharlo e incluso después de que salimos del restaurante pudimos escucharlo haciendo bromas sobre nosotros y los clientes riendo.
Seamos claros aquí: si logras ser cruel con un niño, no es un rasgo de personalidad ni tampoco se trata de que no te importe lo que piensen los demás. ES SIMPLEMENTE CRUEL Y MALVADO. Y los clientes que se ríen son igual de malos.
Por lo tanto, te sugiero que si lees este post y estás en Montefollonico evites este restaurante o, si lo prefieres, pases por allí, pidas una mesa y cuando te traten mal respondas en el buen y viejo Italiano: VAFFAN… C. U. ¡¡¡L.O!! !! !

14/12/2025: We ordered two Negronis, which were listed at €5 each on the menu, and a bowl of Ascoli olives listed at €3. Despite this, the final bill was €22, with a €9 difference that we couldn't figure out where it came from. The only thing we hadn't specifically ordered were some rather old chips brought with our drinks, which perhaps were charged without any communication.
The overall experience wasn't a positive one: the place, despite it being a Saturday night, was completely empty, and much of the food listed on the menu was no longer available, except for the fried food. Furthermore, when we entered, there was a strong smell of cigarettes, meaning someone had been smoking in the dining room.
All things considered, I wouldn't recommend this place.
07/09/2025: If you’re a ciclist and the road takes you through this town then please do a pause at this pub. You’ll not regret it!

The guinea fowl was delicious, and I found the cuisine not too heavy or delicate.
12/12/2025: The tagliatelle with mushrooms was good, but I asked for parmesan, which was brought late, with mockery pointing out that it wasn't needed! I didn't like the lemon cream tart and it was piping hot, but most importantly, they brought us a jug of frothed milk to stain our coffee, which was spoiled: the milk had turned to ricotta and had separated from the whey.

03/01/2026: We stopped a little hesitantly because the entrance wasn't particularly flashy. Appearances can be deceiving, because our dinner was very pleasant. Simple dishes, just the right portions, without too much pretension. Everything was very relaxed.

02/08/2025: For the quality of the sliced meat, I would give it 6 stars going to the checkout, but I can't understand how a green salad can cost 9 euros when a sliced meat costs 18. I repeat, the sliced meat deserved 23 euros too... so it would be more correct to then apply €4 for the salad.

26/11/2025: I ordered spaghetti with clams (delicious). For my main course, the mixed fried calamari and shrimp (superb). The owner is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very refined. Prices are reasonable. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food. I'll gladly return.
04/11/2025: We stopped yesterday while passing through, searching online for a place to eat off the highway, and it appealed to us given the reviews. Very convenient right off the highway. The place is clean and welcoming, the food is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. We had three types of pici with different toppings, each better than the last... the fried fish was dry and crispy... the fish was very fresh... and the homemade desserts were TOP (we had the caprese and tiramisu). Compliments to the very welcoming owner and the waiter, a young and very polite man. We will definitely be back when we pass by there. CONGRATULATIONS!!
