02/05/2025: I ordered the Affogato with Pistachio. At €8 this is very expensive, and, in my opinion it is definitely not worth it. Average coffee and average gelato to go with it. I would say it is 100% not worth the long lines if you go later in the day time. The you could get something like this elsewhere without long lines and probably much cheaper. Here you will be paying the instagram influencer hype premium for an average experience I also ate a chocolate croissant however, and this was delicious. Overalll I would not recommend this place. If you really want to try it, then, one should arrive very early soon after opening to avoid the long wait.

01/05/2025: Locale non attrezzato ad accogliere la gran quantità di clienti. Impossibile trovare un posto a sedere al suo interno. Gelato affogato nel caffé buono ma troppo costoso ( 6 euro per una quantită da coppetta piccola, 8 per la stessa quantità al pistacchio é assolutamente deplorevole). Inoltre dover mangiarlo nella tazza da cappuccino, quando i tavoli sono occupati, comporta dover andare per strada, con tazza e piattino in mano, in mezzo ai passanti e senza posto a sedere per poi dover restituire la tazza sia scomodo e stressante, anche perché si rischia di sporcarsi con il caffè. Il gelato senza il caffé é veramente troppo dolce. Consiglio: per chi vuole risparmiare, ordini una coppetta della dimensione che piú preferisce e un caffé da asporto, scavare il gelato con la paletta e versare il caffé al suo interno. Risultato identico a quello di 6 euro ma a un prezzo ragionevole. Per cortesia non spendete 8 euro per la versione al pistacchio perché non vi é alcuna differenza con la versione alla vaniglia in quanto il caffé copre molto il sapore del pistacchio.

11/10/2025: I just went to Gaetano's to get a tray of pastries, spending €38. The pastries are always delicious, but the girl at the cash register, someone who's worked there for years, never says hello! Probably, for some strange reason, she doesn't like me, because I see that other people say hello and even smile at them. To me, not even a hint, not a thank you, nothing! Nothing at my initial hello, nothing at my final hello, nothing at my thank you, nothing! She even avoided looking me in the eye. What's wrong with her?! I understand the likes and dislikes a person can have, but politeness is the foundation. Also because I'm a regular customer, I often go there to get trays, spending a lot, and I'm always polite, always saying hello and thanking them, but this makes me want to never set foot in there again!

07/10/2025: Scammed tourists. €8 for a cappuccino and a Coca-Cola, and then they made up things for the surcharge because the price list said less. Won't come back.

06/09/2025: We spent a few days near Figline Valdarno to explore the Chianti region. This was our go-to pastry shop for breakfast every day. The prices were reasonable, the quality was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. Thanks to them for always starting each day off right! ❤️

27/10/2025: Zeb operates on a first come first serve basis at lunch time, which is fortunate because I imagine they are often booked out far in advance for the dinner hours. Needless to say, whether you’re walking in or booking ahead, aim to be early. Our party of three was among the first to arrive, and we were promptly seated. One should note that there is no bad seating at Zeb. The counter style seating arrangement ensures that all diners have a similar experience — which begins with Chef Alberto taking your wine order and going through the day’s menu. At this point, I feel compelled to mention that we found Chef Alberto to be nothing short of welcoming and pleasant. I can’t imagine him being otherwise — unless, perhaps, one were to request a substitution, which would understandably be frustrating given how deliberately his menu is composed each day. Regretfully, I did not get any pictures of the meal for this review, but that’s because I was so absorbed by the Pici al Ragu di Manzo in front of me, and later the Trippa alla Fiorentina — both of which were perfect. To end, I’ll simply recommend that you trust the Michelin Guide, which has consistently included Zeb in its yearly Bib Gourmand list. And as for the food itself — trust Chef Alberto; he knows exactly what belongs on the plate.

26/10/2025: I planned my trip specifically so I could have lunch here. I even tried to make a reservation, but the lady who answered the phone assured me it wasn’t necessary for lunch. When a restaurant is mentioned in the Michelin Guide, people naturally go out of their way to experience it. We waited for an hour and a half by the entrance, only to discover the place never opened. The issue isn’t that you didn’t open — it’s that you didn’t care enough about customers to inform that something had come up and service would be unavailable ( checked Insta, Facebook and website)

28/09/2025: The perfect place for a great breakfast. A wide selection of pastries. Delicious coffee and cappuccino. If you get there early, you can also find some delicious savory croissants.

08/09/2025: I'll start by saying that the ladies who served me the pastries were super kind and helpful. I really appreciated that. I must say the atmosphere was very beautiful and peaceful. I'll conclude by saying that the pastries, especially the rice puddings and the croissants, both plain and filled, are nothing short of exceptional: soft, delicious, and heavenly. This pastry shop is my favorite place; every time I go, I feel at home. I highly recommend it; go there because I assure you, you won't regret it.

19/05/2025: We waren er op basis van een aanbeveling die zeker niet gelogen was. Het vriendelijke personeelsvoorziening de gasten van voortreffelijke gerechten klaargemaakt op basis van eerste klasse producten. Gemoedelijke en aangename sfeer.

08/02/2025: Excellent pastries. The breakfast pastries are excellent, with wonderful fillings. The cream they use for the fillings is truly excellent. The lobster rolls are exceptional, incredibly crunchy. Among the cakes, the meringue tart is good, although it might be too sweet for some palates. The torta della nonna is very well-prepared.

01/11/2025: Unfortunately I have to agree with the other reviews that this place is a scam. Their prices keep changing every day, depending on who is serving you and if they think you're a tourist. Be very careful of places like this that don't have any prices listed, because there's a reason for that! This place could have had a regular customer in me, as I'm not a tourist, but they lost me just for a few Euro...

19/09/2025: I mistakenly thought this was the heart of Florence, but my wrong choice made me so happy. I stayed here for two days, drinking, and the food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the owner... When we said our final goodbyes, the owner offered us drinks and even gave us beautiful wine glasses. It was truly the perfect, unforgettable vacation in Europe. My friend and I were so, so, so, so happy. I definitely want to visit again. We're in the heart of Florence and I'm so happy, but I'm so glad I came here. The staff were so friendly, helpful, and kind. While we were there, we were very grateful, because we had a wonderful time, and the owner was so kind. Il che fu un'occasione assolutamente indimenticabile per l'Europa. Io e il mio amico eravamo cosi' felici. Mi piacerebbe conoscerla di nuovo.💖💖

12/11/2025: I stopped by on my way to catch the train. Excellent selection, especially vegan options, and average prices for a downtown location. Fast service despite the busy schedule, and staff are always available to meet customer needs. Recommended.

12/11/2025: The menu, location, and service are great. We went there two mornings in a row. The bowl and avocado toast were so delicious that some guests joined us :)

20/10/2025: I'm not used to giving one star. I always look for an explanation or justification because everyone works and not all days are the same. But waiting two hours for a pizza with four small children at the table is truly incredible. Not a single explanation was given to our questions. It felt like we'd wronged them by eating there. I've rarely found myself in such an unpleasant situation out for dinner. I hope it was a bad night, but I wouldn't even go back as a guest.
