29/12/2025: Tenuta Sant'Ilario is a wonderful place, immersed in an authentic and relaxing atmosphere. The beauty of the location and the hospitality make guests feel welcome. Every experience is a perfect balance of tradition, taste, and customer care. Excellent service. Dogs are welcome. Highly recommended!

09/11/2025: I must say that, despite the beauty of the location, I had a terrible experience at Tenuta Sant’Ilario. We had booked a superior room on the first floor with two beautiful panoramic windows on the estate's website, but instead we were given a standard room on the ground floor with no windows (just a glass door). I immediately wrote to reception, and this was their response: "Good afternoon, look, we gave you a classic room for your dog, at least it was on the ground floor. We apologize for the inconvenience. As a matter of fact, we will waive the supplement for your dog's stay. Thank you again, Reception." In fact, we hadn't been informed of the supplement for your dog when we booked; in fact, we had been offered a free "Welcome Kit for our four-legged friends," which no one gave us. When I complained again to reception, they replied, "You're absolutely right, it was an internal mix-up within the reception staff who didn't inform us. We are deeply sorry." Unfortunately, the apology wasn't followed by any concrete action. The morning of my departure, there was a different person at the front desk who knew nothing about it and neither offered me a refund for the downgrade nor apologized for what happened. So, I paid the price of a superior room for a standard room, and no one did anything to remedy the situation. UNSPECIFIABLE.

13/01/2026: Welcoming staff, a reimagined traditional venue, and food that's neither good nor bad. We expected more.

01/01/2026: I made a reservation for two people on October 26, 2025, for December 31, 2025, more than two months in advance. The reservation included a TheFork discount on the à la carte menu. Just to be sure, on December 12, 2025, I contacted the restaurant directly to confirm that, for the evening of December 31, a à la carte menu was also available in addition to the set menu, so I could take advantage of the discount. They confirmed in writing that this would be possible. On December 31, I received another email from the restaurant to confirm the table, to which I replied confirming my attendance. Having arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time, I was instead informed that it was not possible to order anything other than the set menu, a complete contradiction both to what I had previously been told and to what was advertised on their social media channels. Faced with this evident lack of consistency and respect for the customer, I decided to leave. Since it was New Year's Eve, no other nearby restaurant was available, forcing me to opt for a food truck. I'll leave it up to the reader to assess the reliability and integrity of this place.

24/01/2026: I've fallen in love with this place. I went in thinking it was just another bar for drinks, but it surprised me. They have food like wings and pizza at really good prices. Plus, they brought free popcorn and corn nuts with your drink.

09/06/2025: Paramos a almorzar sin reserva. El anfitrión y propietario nos recibió con una sonrisa y una cálida bienvenida y nos sentó enseguida en una mesa acogedora para dos. Ambos pedimos ñoquis, uno con salsa de carne, otro con pesto. ¡Fueron increíbles! ¡Derrite en tu boca delicioso! ¡Muy recomendable!

18/03/2026: Friendly and helpful staff, both takeaway and counter orders, very good focaccia with generous fillings. Perfect for a quick lunch or while walking, average prices. Highly recommended.

29/12/2025: I stumbled across this tiny place wandering through the Santa Maria Novella district, and I was glad I did. My Porchetta panini was really tasty and satisfying. Service was quick, and the staff is very gregarious!

07/02/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance. The music in the dining room was a bit loud, the waitresses were kind, and then came the surprise: the pizza, a unique experience. It's been a long time since I've smelled the scent of raw olive oil on pizza. I'm writing this review 12 hours later. I slept great, no thirst, excellent digestion, and no bloating. Then I discovered they specialize in fish, and not only that... I'll try it... It's a shame about the sparkling water; the machine broke, but it's justified by the excellent dinner. Congratulations. I'll be back.

23/10/2025: We found it by chance. Near the center. Super cheap. They're very friendly and fast. You order at the bar first, then pay in the cigar section. Locals from the neighborhood come here; you can feel and share the spirit of Florence. We were there having breakfast for a while, and several locals came in, talking about their things. Wonderful.

17/03/2026: I'm not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best meals/restaurants I've ever had in my life. I don't understand the negative reviews, because it doesn't deserve them. I happened upon it with my boyfriend while walking and we decided to try it without a reservation. The service was beyond welcoming, and we were seated right away. As soon as we arrived, bread and water were served immediately. Shortly after, Chef Alberto showed us and explained the first courses, and he was really helpful because he also gave us some recommendations. He suggested a wine that paired perfectly with what we ordered: cappellacci with ricotta and truffle and cappellacci with pears. We loved them from the first bite, so much so that I didn't even take photos; I just enjoyed them. You can tell Alberto and his mother cook with passion. Even the second courses had a very homey taste, like grandma's cooking, made with nothing but love. Thank you so much, everything was truly delicious. When we return to Florence, we'll definitely be back here again. Congratulations ❤️
