The decor feels Japanese, very different to other restaurants in Florence. The food is top-notch. Both courses were delicious. So glad we found this place! The service is very attentive and personalised. Loved it.

I’ve already told numerous friends about the outstanding restaurant that we were able to experience. It was unique and quirky and family owned by a mother and a son. The food was of the highest quality and well presented on the dish and left me smiling after every course.
I had to laugh at some of the negative reviews on this restaurant. Things people were pointing out as negatives, my wife and I found to be enhancement to the overall experience.

Ideal for a good wine and a good pasta. Very special, small, charming, very Italian, perfect for a meal with a partner or friends, to enjoy and dine in a relaxed, romantic, and quiet atmosphere.

I discovered this restaurant 10 years ago, and it has remained my favorite in the world ever since. I’ve brought countless friends and family over the years, and every single one of them has been impressed.
I travel frequently, yet this place is truly unmatched—and quite honestly, one of the main reasons I return to Florence once or twice every year.
This is a small, family-run restaurant with around 20 seats, and that intimacy is part of its charm. The quality is consistently exceptional, every dish is refined and full of flavor, and the wine selection is outstanding.
Alberto and Giuseppina run everything themselves—both the kitchen and the service. That means the same people crafting your meal are also the ones welcoming and serving you. Their focus has always been on delivering extraordinary food, and they have chosen to preserve that standard rather than expand or dilute the experience.
It’s worth saying that some of the negative reviews seem to come from people expecting a more conventional or overly attentive style of service. This is not that kind of place. It’s genuine, intimate, and centered on the food. If you come looking for warmth, authenticity, and exceptional cuisine, you will absolutely love it.
For me, this restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it’s a destination in itself, and a tradition I will happily continue for many years to come.
Alberto e Giuseppina, avete tutta la nostra ammirazione. Non vediamo l’ora di tornare a trovarvi molto presto!
Highly recommended.

On my solo trip to Italy, I wanted to eat good food. Zeb was a decent choice in that matter.
For the first course, I had a pasta filled with pumpkin and a sweet french cheese sauce. This was wonderful, I believe one of the best taste combinations I've had in Italy so far, nothing too complicated but simply tasty.
For second course, I ordered the peposo. The first couple of bites were great - tender, warm and dripping in the stew's sauce. Unfortunately, the big portion with nothing else on the side was exhausting. By the time I finished the plate, the meat was tough, dry, cold and the amount of pepper I had crunched was overbearing.
For dessert, I was not sure what to have as I was quite full but I wanted to try. I asked the chef/owner if they have anything smaller. He seemed to not understand what I asked, and was also caught up in a weird conflict with a couple of Americans next to me that didn't understand what the desserts were. A nice Italian man next to me recommended the Easter cake, and I ordered just that. While it was good, it was a huge portion I couldn't finish half of. Overall the food was good, but definitely not worth the price.
When it comes to service, I did not have a lot of trouble except for the lack of understanding about dessert. The staff was rushed and did not seem to have time to pay attention to the customers. I overheard another diner say the atmosphere was similar to "The Boiling Point" - a bit tense and awkward.
I like the concept of Zeb, but I was expecting a better experience, both foodwise and atmosphere wise.
